I have my next Dr appt. tomorrow, but my foot is hurting badly again, I thought it was improving.

How did you make out at your doctor's appt.? How are you feeling today?

I am going to lay down on the couch. I do not feel well at all - my stomach feels so sick. It's a wonder I even lasted in class today, I was ready to leave early. Have a good afternoon, I hope you are all doing well!

My dad just gave us some good news, he is going to try to stop smoking. He has been smoking for almost forty years, so it's about time. He has a really bad cough from it.

Keep him in your thoughts for good luck. He tried before and successfully stopped for 2 months but then he started again. I really hope he quits for good this time.

Good luck to your dad! I'll be praying for him! Keep us updated on his progress! I know he can do it!

My little girl(Lily, 6 month old golden doodle) was spayed yesterday. I had a restless night sleep taking care of her as she was not doing well. I took today off so that I could take care of her Whitley girlfriend studied. She's doing better but we have to be real careful that she doesn't get too riled up. We don't want her breaking open her wound. I'll grab my phone and post a before and after. She looks rather comical with her cone.

Well my wife mentioned how well her son (my step-son) did in college and already has a job. I just wanted to chime in and say how proud of him I am. I have only known him for 8 of his 21 years, but I have seen such growth in him in that time, but especially when he started going to college and now that he will be working soon. I will admit that I am a little surprised, not how well he did in college, I know he is smart, I was just afraid he wouldn't stick with it. But he not only stuck with it, he went above and beyond what he needed to do. My wife mentioned that he struggled with algebra, well he wasn't satisfied with just squeaking by, he did everything he could to try to get an A. He ended up with a B, which I told him that was great considering how much he struggled with it, but he was disappointed.

Congrats to you too, SIT! You guys did a great job! You all should be very proud!

I also have a little girl named Lily and she is at the vet's office being spayed this morning...my Lily is a kitty though....I hope your baby feels better soon !! xo

Thanks everyone. We're both starting to feel a little bit better. We both just have a nasty cough now. She's over her fever, so that is good news. The doctor wouldn't give her any medicine, which I figured he wouldn't. They never do. They don't give antibiotics out as easily as when we all were kids.

I just heard from MsChristmas and she wanted me to pass along that the surgery went well and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. She is resting up and hopes to be back on here soon!

The Crunchy Peanut Butter blend Coffee got stuck on the roof of my mouth. Not sure I like that one either. :grin:

You know you've hit the bottom of the barrel (can?) when you have to EAT your coffee.
Even Binger wouldn't do that.

The adjuster said they'd give us a rental, but I somehow doubt they'll offer one large enough for my family of four plus my mom and all our luggage.

You could all share one suitcase, the carry on size like the airports require! :wink:

In less than 24 hours we will be on the road to Vermont for the wedding, I went to the Inn's website and they have snow on the ground, I may not be able to go skating, but they have a 500ft drop snow tube area, horse drawn sleigh rides, and a forecast of -2*F for Saturday night. They have wifi so I will be able to bring the laptop. We still have to pack for ourselves and and the boys, so it will be a busy day.

Sounds amazing! I hope you can post some pictures.

I was exhausted yesterday when I arrived home from the doctor. It was about 5:45 p.m. My surgery date has been set with pre-op the week before. The pre-op is a week earlier in case I develop any infections between now and then. I have to be infection-free prior to surgery. The surgery will take about five hours, maybe a little longer. The reconstruction will take place pretty much at the same time, well, just a little after the mastectomies. My last day of school for this school year will be February 28. Since this process of chemo and reconstruction will take quite a while, I may have to work until December 2012 after all. Darn it!!! But I need the insurance!!

Good afternoon, everyone!

I have been away from here for a couple days. I've been busy at work - somewhat! Not a whole lot is new. I've been having some fun rehabbing my back. It seems to be coming along quite nice. The unfortunate part is that I want to return to lift the weights that I have become accustomed to. Instead, I have to keep doing low(er) weights and high reps. I should be good to go after next week.

I'll have to get caught up on the forums, I guess. I don't think I will be able to go back to Tuesday... There are so many people and posts in this thread. I'll go back to this morning and see if I can get caught up there!

Well, I'm ready for Friday. Thankfully, it is tomorrow! I have a bit of a busy evening tonight with some grocery shopping and the gym, but it should be fun!

I thought my mom would be better but she is still in a major fog. Her blood test came back showing that she has a slightly overactive thyroid (which is odd since she had half removed and it would normally be underactive) but there is nothing to be concerned about from the test and nothing that he can do for her. I just wish she'd start feeling better because yesterday she said was her worst day of all.

Praying that your mom will start feeling better soon and she will soon get some answers!

Today looks like an easy day as I just have finished my reviews for this quarter!!! now I can focus on just regular floor work. I had a very good work out this morning,and when I got into my car it was 40F but there was ice on the windshield from the overnight dew,I guess the windshield must get colder than the air temp which allows moisture to freeze...I am going to call my dad today because he has an important Dr's appt(neorologist)thanks for the prayers my dad and my whole family really appreciate it!!!have a great day everyone!
