We are driving down to see my parents this weekend. My mom seems to be getting weaker. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

It is overcast and breezy this morning in northern California. I did not sleep well last night. I had a nightmare about my sub!!! I dreamed she changed all my specials (PE, computers, library, and music) to be first thing in the morning. She moved a king-sized bed into the classroom so she could sleep while the kids were out of the classroom. Then she had to get friends to help her because it was so hard to teach third graders! Okay, dream analysts, what does it all mean?

Ohhh...Seawaters! You poor thing! I am sure this kind of thing happened because no one can ever do your job better than you can. I am sure everything is going fine. Don't worry. Just rest and get better!

She was only 1/2 block from all this. Police had the neighbourhood blocked off and also had the townhouses where she was working on lock down. Jeannine told me this morning that after all the prayers started she felt total peace and was not afraid anymore. Several students stayed with her and security guards checked on her quite often.
That is good to hear. glad she is safe and had a few round her

heard from hubby this morning, kind'a. he sent me an email of his arrival & said he was very tired after such a long flight. his cell isn't working there & the hotel doesn't have phones. i've never heard of such. his laptop needs an adapter to be charged so i don't know when i may hear from him again & I DO NOT LIKE THAT!!
O i wood hate that. the hotel had no phones. what linda place is he staying in lol hopefully your hear from him soon

I fell asleep last night quite early, I am still very sleepy though. We are getting ready for LC's birthday party, his real birthday is Tuesday, but the bash is today, going to one of those indoor jungle gym type places, so it should be fun.

Quick update on my Niece. The therapist has been working with her the last couple of days and can't get the dizziness to go away again. So she had a follow up appointment with her regular doctor today and he didn't have a clue. So he called the Neurologist that she saw at the children's hospital and they want my sister to bring her back down to the ER. So thats where they are headed now.

Bless her heart! The poor angel. How is she doing today? Any updates from your sister?

The wifey and I went out to eat tonight...just the two of us. We went to one of our ol' favs....it was nice just to be able to spend time together. I left my cell phone at home and it was dead when we came back.....I'm not charging it, either. Tomorrow morning, I'm gonna sit on my deck, drink coffee...and just be.

Then on Sunday, I head down CAH And SIT's way and spend a few days on a work trip.

That sounds lovely!

I just started crying a little.....my daughter Kandice, who turned six years last week, came to me to say Happy Birthday and asked me, if I also wish great-grandpa (my grandpa) to be here with us again......she is such a smart and sensitive little girl....she seems to fully understand what it means that he has died....she knows he will never come back...but she knows that he keeps watching us and that we will meet again.....hopefully a long time from now...until then we just keep him in our hearts and remember him fondly.....Gramps I love ya

Boy what a messed up shift I have. Tuesday Wednesday off working 1pm-9:30pm. As Kermit says "Sheesh". It Sunday and I'm working. Well the weather is warming up. I want it to stay winter. Guess my wish didn't come true. Well its almost my days off. I can party all day at the pines now! whoo hoo! Hope everyone has a good day!

Sitting outside on my deck, getting caught up on the countdown, and listening to the birds chirp. I got all the work around the house I wanted to get done.

Now I'm just waiting for the kids to come home for their grandparents and DH to get home from work! I love spring and summer!

I won't be able to listen in tonight for the Greasy Skillet. Mass is at 5 and then we will be going to the St. Patrick's Day dinner at the Lodge. This day has turned out to be gorgeous, sunny and slightly breezy. A fellow teacher sent a card today and included a gift card to Outback. I work with a great bunch of teachers and staff! Have a great rest-of-the-day and evening, everyone.

sugar why do you agree to do these hours?? you need your time to..while you doing the hours to let someone else so something.you are not giving yourself time to yourself. you seem a lovely person that wood do that But maybe you need to let someone else do it and you take a bit of time for YOU .

Thanks, Shellie! You're very sweet! Normally I wouldn't work on my weekend off, unless I was told I had to by my bosses, but since my DH was teaching and my kids were already going to be at their grandparents, I figured I would. I am well rested now and I got to have fun with my husband and friends last night. Back to work tonight!

anyone who may still be up please pray for my daughter she's at work right now at the college in london ontario, and there is rioting going on. Apparently a saint patrick's day party got out of hand she is only 1 block away from where all this is going on. They have an entire city block cordoned off with swat teams in and she is quite nervous. thank you I will give you update when I know them

Hope everything turned out okay. That is scary!

got to see & spend some time w/ my godchildren last evening. their mom needed to do some shopping for my godson as he grows like a weed. my little goddaughter only gets taller, she's such a tiny petite thing. of course, when their mom came back she had bought for both. she found their Easter outfits & the outfits gorgeous. frills & lace for Averi & "little man" clothes for Antonio. it's quite a sweet story of them & my daughter. when my kids were little their mom, Ashley, babysat for us alot & her mom is my best friend. well my kids especially daughter, being the youngest, began calling her Nana & to this day they still call her nana. now my daughter & i babysit the kids for Ashley & they call my daughter Nana. Ashley's mom & i have drifted apart somewhat due to her & her husband divorcing, & my brother & her x are best friends too. nothing dramatic, just felt kind'a awkward. she's moved on somewhat & he has too. when i do get to talk to her she hugs me & tells me she loves me & i do her too. she's the best friend i ever had, i just don't like talking about her x & she does it alot. anyhoo, Averi & Antonio call me & hubby auntie & unc. they are so sweet & i love them soooo.
think i'm gonna watch a little tv, try to find some gardening stuff on. talk to ya'll in a bit. as a matter of fact, you guys will probably get sick of seeing me over the next week as i'll be on here much more.:yahoo:

I came home from the Knights of Colombus brunch. I was so tired that I had to take a nap. I just woke up because hubby was talking on the phone telling a friend of ours how it was hailing here. Sure enough!!! We also had one flash of lightning and one clap of thurnder. I wonder how many kids are scared to death here. Thurnderstorms are extremely rare where we live. That's one of the things I like about this area! Pretty eerie weather!!!
