Just got home from Dr visit, my foot is doing well enough where I can do full stretches to it again, he said I will have pain for a while, with where I had the rupture in the ligament he said was quite rare so the pain will linger for a bit.

I have to go make my homemade calzones for dinner.

I'm glad to hear that your foot is still doing good!!!! My mom still has pain in her foot if she is on it for long periods of time and it has been 2 years since her surgery. Have any leftovers???

has she had blood tests done?

They took 7 vials of blood the last time she was at the hospital to run all kinds of tests. All of them came back okay.

Hey everybody!!! Just nipping on quickly from work. It's been my day at the family history centre (as well as the whole births deaths marriages thing, we also provide a genealogy service) and I'm sitting here feeling pleased with myself. I've managed to get this guy's family back to 1775 and have got the marriage certificate to prove it which is the important part! It's essential to verify everything you trace or else you could be totally down the wrong trail and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that everybody I have in his tree is the right person.

Cool!!! I can only trace mine back a couple of generations. My great aunt has been working on a family tree for awhile now though. I need to call her and see how it's going.

I was to have a relaxing evening yesterday, but Kim was sick.

I haven't indulged in Christmas in July, so I have a silly question: Is it the entire month in July? Or a particular day in July? Or just whatever time in July you feel like observing it? I was thinking of baking some cookies and getting some special treats this year to celebrate.

I know you asked CM3 this question but I am sure everyone has different ideas for Christmas in July and thought I would share mine.

For me the official date is July 25th, the day QVC does all their marathon of Christmas sales. I really start getting in the mood for Christmas the whole month July. I don't really do a whole lot but I know some actually have a Christmas dinner and invite family over. I just play a lot of music, watch movies and QVC of course! During the segments of QVC that I don't watch (like toy sales) is when I put a movie in. I like the Christmas decorations part. I still have not bought anything from them but I sure enjoy watching it all day long!

Also Hallmark has their Christmas in July ornament sales that I enjoy!

I have the grandkids talking about Christmas in July too! cheesy

I find 4th of July exciting because right after it's over I get really focused more on Christmas than ever!

I celebrate it when ever QVC has their CIJ event on. I make cookies and usually a small christmas dinner. Turkey tenderloin, instant mashed potatoes, stovetop stuffing, and pumpkin pie.

This year July 25th falls on a wednesday so I am betting that QVC will have their event the weekend before.

I forgot my son was in the regional spelling bee at a school about 30 miles from here. He won second place in regional 8th grade! He would have won, but he got a little too cocky at the end. SYMPATHIZE was the word. He knew how to spell it, but was going too fast and got the "I" before the "H". He knew he did it and backed up...but it was too late. Once the letter gets out of your mouth, it's out.

He was satisfied with 2nd place, and so were we. We took him out to eat at one of his favorite restaurants, then checked him out of classes early, as a pat on the back for a job well done.

Congratulations to your son!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spelling is my mortal enemy.

xmas- you so crazy!! in a good way lol. i never smell like the flowers but we have lots of people coming in & saying how it smells good in the shop from the flowers. that's probably another reason my allergies act up so much. i know my son's girlfriend worked @ taco bell for a while & she smelled like taco bell when she left work. you said you smelled like fries.....oh my goodness, that's my favorite :-( but i'm on a diet. gosh how i love fries

Sorry, I wanted to be a chef when I was younger, not so much now. But I like to make my own "new" recipes all the time. My calzones are my wife's favorite thing I make. cheesy (I experimented with using a habanero sauce in mine tonight)

The calzones were very good tonight, but work will be early enough, my Bruins are out in Seawaters neck of the woods (sort of) in San Jose and the game starts at 10:30 so I will catch the highlights in the morning. My wife just started reading "The Hunger Games" tonight, I have no interest in it after hearing what it's about and reading the synopsis, I know it is the biggest thing going but I can't handle the violence between children. It really disturbs me. Just my opinion, we can't agree on everything all the time. cheesy

That's what happened when my daughter was in the regionals a couple years ago. My son loves to be in the spotlight, but not Elizabeth. She messed up the first word, and came off the stage with tears of embarrassment streaming down her face.

I decided then that I don't want her in competition like that again. It broke my heart!

Awww....Bless her. There wasn't anyone in the audience for me when I goofed so I just had to deal with getting to the girl's restroom for a good cry !

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! It looks like today is going to be the last day in the 80's here in central Indy. Tomorrow we start are slow fall back to where we should be at this time of year. I am exhausted today. My aunt had to work over last night so I got stuck here at my sisters house until almost 10 then had to turn around and be back out here at 6am this morning. I should have brought clothes and stayed the night. To make things worse both of my niece's are sick and stayed home from school. Hopefully I can get them to take a nap here soon. My niece in seattle goes to the ENT this morning so hopefully he will have an answer. She has been really bad the last couple of days. My sister from here said that her whole body would just shake when she would try to walk. Well I'm off to fix some lunch. I'll try to get caught up this afternooon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the ENT said her ear is fine and that is a migraine. So back to the Neurologist she goes.

I agree, I don't know if Tebow will work out in New York. A local sports ESPN radio station here says the Cowboys should have gotten him and made him a tight end or a slot receiver, or even a half back. A lot of people say he shouldn't be a quarterback.

hubby will be going to Belgium today & thinks he'll be able to call me....we'll see! i've never went a week w/out talking to him, heck i've never been a whole week w/out seeing him!
prom is tonight for an area high school. we are busy @ work.

my niece goes to that high school & is a junior. this would have been her 1st prom, she had gotten her dress, shoes, made her hair appointment & stuff...well she was getting out of her mom's car @ school on Wednesday & fell. she hurt her foot. that baby went on through part of the morning hurting & by 10 or 11 am her foot was blue. she kept an ice pack on it for the day. ended up she stayed home yesterday & her mom couldn't get her an appointment w/ an orthopeadic (spelling) until this morning. it's the outside part of her left foot i think. her foot is black now, no prom for her tonight! they said she was crying because of it. i feel so bad for her!

my sis is home from the hospital. she's walking alot. she says she hurts really bad when she gets up out of a chair. she tried to lay in bed but that hurt too much so she's in a recliner. she has the back brace but as of last night she wasn't wearing it. says she's gonna put it on 1st thing this morning. of course i fussed @ her about that (strictly out of love). told her it would probably help w/ the pain of getting up. she said, i don't know, i think it would be more aggravation. i'm like yeah vicky, they gave you the back brace just to aggravate you!! c'mon. i will be sure & call her late morning to make sure she's in it by then.
