Good morning, Christmas lovers!

Well, all of our talk about the warmer temperatures seems to have jinxed the weather! The garden center put out all of their hanging baskets yesterday, so I bought a nice one to kick the spring season off. To my luck, about an hour or so after I got home they released a freeze warning. We had to cover all of the flowers that we just planted last week in our flower garden and we had to take the basket inside for the night since it would die at temperatures below 40°. I did think that the 80°+ days were just a little too warm for this time of year, but I'll take that any day over the horrible 28° we have now! The temperature has dropped 58° within a couple of days, yikes! I am hoping that I don't end up with a cold from the drastic change, but I am definitely stuffed up this morning and my throat has been scratchy since yesterday. Guess I'd better take Zinc to be safe.

This afternoon I am going to get my hair cut at a new salon. I hate switching salons but I don't like the new ownership of the one I have been going to. I am getting 4 inches cut off of my hair, so I hope the lady knows what she is doing. The last time I tried switching to a new salon, I wanted to get blonde highlights put in my hair. She put all of the foils in my hair for the highlights, and meanwhile she was fighting with her husband on the phone. When she took them off, she started with the side that she did last. One part of my hair was blonde, the other was practically platinum/skunkish white. It was awful!

I am going to go and get ready because I have a busy day today. The Penguins play tonight, I am hoping for a win! I have been loving hockey lately, I cannot wait for the playoffs. I am a huge football lover, but for some reason I could barely get into the games this past season. I have enjoyed hockey so much more this year.

Here in Canada we know better, never ever put any plants out until after May 1st! No matter how the weater tries to fool you.

Well my Niece woke up this morning and was perfectly fine. She has been running around all morning like nothing ever happened to her. So I guess we will wait and see how the day goes.

that is so exciting to hear! hopefully the tests continue so they can get to the root of the problem.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a trying day at work yesterday, and today isn't starting out any better. I can't decide whether to put on a smile or my GRRRR face. I think I'll start with the smile and see how it goes from there.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Can I just express my total distain for public schools at least in my town. My son who is a sports lover and has been playing since he was 5 first off had a lousy time playing freshman football couldnt get much play time due to lots of favoritism by the coach but we told him to stick it out and he did. now its baseball season and this is by far his sport and after coaching him and his friends for years I sort of knew where he stood against most of his peers he wasnt the best player but he was a solid player better than many so after a week of tryouts he came home today only to tell me that he was one of only 4 players to be cut and its the same coach he had for football . So it takes all of my will not to give it to this coach.I am also a coach I know parents can be a pain thinking there kid is the best when thats not the case .but in this case I have first hand knowledge of all those kids and this couldnt be more of a popularity contest and its driving me crazy. sorry just needed to vent!!!!

well you do not have the only school doing crazy things..

Hello Christmas Friends

I know I haven't been here in a long time, Just wanted to let everyone know why. Little know fact about me, my ex father in law has been in my life for 12 plus years. even when his son and I divorced, and I remarried pop stayed with our family. he is my 2nd dad. On January 30 2012 our family was turned upside down. pop suffered a Hemorrhagic stroke. it's a stroke due to a brain bleed and it was in the middle of his brain. he suffered it here at home and I had to get him help. it's been a ruff 2 and a half months since then. Will he ever fully recover? we don't know..... but he can say a few words and he knows who everyone is and can at least move the left side of his body. it's going to take time, faith, and prayer.....

and now as I type this all but two of the 7 kids has the stomach virus and I haven't slept in over 24 hours.................. but I'm momma and when they are sick they want me:)

I so miss y'all and I wish merry blessing on all of you! please keep our family in your prayers thanks!!
i'm so sorry to hear of this lilnoelelf! i will be praying for your father inlaw & you too w/ all your babies sick. God bless you!

i'm off work again today.
ya'll know how long i've been trying to cut our grass right? well hubby cut the driveway yesterday (he doesn't ALLOW me to) so i could finish it today. AGAIN it won't start. has a new starter, battery just bought last year. aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! pulling my hair out!
hubby thinks the battery we got was a bad one, ya' think? gotta get a new one again. my son's gonna jump it off when he leaves for school so i can get this done finally!!
sorry just had to vent! ya' know you guys are so good about letting me do that!!!!!:-o:confused::point:

So after a yesterday's news and a serious talk between me my son and my wife we have decided to look into a school change for next year we are considering a catholic high school and also a trade high school however with my son's aspirations to follow a career in law a trade school seems out of the running. We keep telling him to get as much out of high school as you can because its gone before you know it then he keeps getting his legs cut out from under him.It is taking all of my will not be on the phone with the school but my son is begging me not to because it seems anytime a parent complains the coach makes it a point to tell the rest of the team so and so's mom or dad called to complain then it becomes hell for the kid because the rest of the team taunts them relentlessly.

Made, I told you not to pull up that far.....hehe...

Sorry!!! That was my first time driving a 4 wheeler and I forgot which one was the brake and which one was the throttle.

That is WONDERFUL Made !! Has anyone ever thought this may be a neurological problem that comes and goes ?? I am not a doctor by any means but I just want to help so much....xo

That's what I think it is but the neurologist says that there is nothing neurological going on. My sister was going to take her for a second opinion but now that she is acting okay she is going to hold off and see if it happens again.

I hope you feel better soon and good luck at the new salon!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cool day here with a high near 60 degrees. I had to get up at 5am to babysit today so I'm dragging right now. My niece's are both whiny so I think it's about time for them to go take a nap. My niece in seattle is still doing good today so my sister is going to send her to school. The teacher said she would watch her today and call my sister if it looked like she was starting to have a hard time again. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I think you have a really nice smile so you should use it !! xo

Good for you !!! I don't know how relevant (sp ?) this is but public school did a number on me. I was always very, very shy and timid and when it came to testing I did not do well, which in and of itself does not mean anything I have learned. Because of public school I grew up thinking I was completely stupid which lowered my self esteem even more. (I found out later through a test for MENSA that I was not stupid by making the 97th percentile). Nobody at school seemed to care and nobody offered to work with me or to try to see what the problem was. This does not relate to sports in any way I know but my empathy is with you and your son.

all that you said above is true. unfortunately your son will catch the brunt of it all if you call the coaches. if your son truly is wanting to get into law i would agree w/ the catholic school not trade school. i'll be praying for you & your family that the right decision is made for all!:merry:

Well, I just weighed in again, and I've lost my first 10 pounds! Yay! Maybe this time I'll actually be able to stick with this.

RachRon, I'm sorry that your son had such a disappointment. My sister and I both went to Catholic schools, and I think we turned out well, so this may be a good step for your son. I believe it will give him an edge for getting into Law school. Good luck!

Good afternoon, Christmas family

Another day pounding the keys about to start. I finally heard from my employer and the person in charge of benefits, etc., wanted me to just cut back an hour each day but still work Monday through Friday. That is not going to help me. I need to cut back a full 8 hours to see if this helps and it will also give me more time in between typing and catching up on things here. In this case, I cannot compromise. I have to stick to my guns as it were. So I wrote her back and explained to her what I would like. We will see what she says.

Brad - Congratulations on Jacob's team winning the track meet !! I didn't see that post before.

Made - I 100% agree with you. I still think it could be a neurlogical problem. Maybe another neurologist would be more willing to listen. I bet if they did tests, they would find something.

Sugar - How are you ?? I always forget to say hello to you, how rude. I hope you and yours are well xo Big ((Hugs)) to your family and Big Caninemom ((HUGS)) to Ella xo

I guess it is time for me to go. I am going to say some serious prayers before I start working today that I will be able to make through to 9 p.m. I have had hardly any sleep and I just hope I can do this.

Have a Christmassy polar bear day dear family xo
