Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good day, Christmas friends! How is everyone doing today? I am well. I just got home from taking the kids to get their Easter pictures done and DS got his 9 month pictures taken.

DH left from there to head to work, so we're enjoying some time together. EA is watching some tv here beside me and DS is taking a nap. I'm waiting for my sister to get here and I'm going to make a homemade pizza for dinner.

We never did get to painting eggs (again) today since we were so busy this morning and the kids had to catch a nap after lunch. We are def. going to do that tomorrow after I get up and before DH goes to work. I will have to get up a little earlier, but that's okay - it's time with my family!

Nothing new here. Excited for Easter and for the next few days.

Hope all is well for everyone. I am going to catch up here on the posts as much as I can. Hope all is well with everyone. I will try to post later before laying down for my nap before work.

So, went to see my doctor this morning and I was right about my hand. Now I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon who will do the surgery. I have dupuytrens contracture http://eatonhand.com/hw/hw009.htm
So far mine is only effecting my pinkie on my right hand.
My mom, uncle and brother have all had surgery for this as well. Mom waited to long for hers so they could not straighten out her two fingers but my brothers is fine. My finger is just starting to get crocked so hopefully it will be fine after surgery.

Sorry to hear you have to have surgery, but glad to hear they caught it early. I'll keep you in my prayers, Star. Keep us updated on everything.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I did a little work yesterday afternoon, then we went to my mom's house for lasagna.

My mom is a superb Italian and German cook! I fell asleep in the living room right after eating that huge meal. Nancy took me home and I went back to sleep when I got there. I woke myself up by knocking everything off my night stand while dreaming that I was reaching for something my brother was handing to me. What a crazy night for me!

Today is my Friday!! I'm off tomorrow!! Yippeee!! We're taking the kids out to eat and maybe a movie tonight. Fun, fun, fun!

I am jealous of anyone who is off tomorrow and/or Monday! My brother works for a school district so he is off tomorrow and gets to start his weekend tonight. I have to go to college both days, I get no break at all for Easter. Regardless, anyone who is off - enjoy it!!

I also hope anyone who has had those tornadoes and bad weather is ok! I haven't been able to read many posts lately but I know some of us are in areas where they just hit.

I am really tired this morning. I was sick Mon, Tues, and Wed, I think I am finally starting to feel a little bit better today. I wasn't even able to go to my classes all week. I tried yesterday but I had to come home because I didn't feel well. I have a test this morning so I definitely can't miss.

After class I am going to head to the grocery store to do some Easter shopping with my mom.

I am SO GLAD to see this week winding down.....Cant wait for the weekend. I applied this morning with another company. Only time will tell if they like my resume or not. My Hermione just jumped up here on the couch and was giving me Bloodhound kisses .......I talk about Hermione a lot I know but I haven't forgotten my other furkids at all. My Wish is still doing well.....It has been 7 months since he had an "episode" like the ones he was having. Each day I spend with him and all my furkids really is special because you just never know....just like with people.

It is a cool day here in Ohio ....prob+bly pretty simiar to Made's weather.....Indiana and Ohio get a lot of the same when it comes to that.

I have to get ready soon to get on and type. Last night was okay because it was all radiology all night. Which is great !! Not ONE GOOBER in the bunch !!

I hope everyone is doing okay. Today is Holy Thursday and the night which commeorates the Last Supper. It is a solemn day for me and I am already starting to be sad becuase of the events on Good Friday....But Sunday I will be happy xoxo

hubby & i are on vacation all next week & i can't wait. i definitely need a break from that place for a while!! i'm thankful for my job but @ the same time, thankful for the vacation time too.
just gonna hang out @ home. i think we may open the pool. my son can't wait for us to do that.

I have been following the tornado aftermath coverage and as bad as it was there were no fatalities or serious injuries! That is great!

I know this story was covered nationwide but I am still amazed by the grandma that was caring for 3 very small children (I believe the ages were around 18 months- 2 years old). She got in her bathtub with all 3 and the whole entire house was flattened but the bathtub and 2 walls surrounding it were still standing. She said the tornado was trying to pull the baby she was holding out of her arms. It did manage to throw one of the kids into another part of the house and the other in the backyard. They all ended up walking away with just a few scratches!!!

Another lady was recovering from knee surgery and could not get out of her chair to run for cover. She was holding her dog and the tornado picked her up in the air and swirled her around and threw her, her dog and chair quite a ways. Her and the dog both survived. Her whole house was flattened as well. It's amazing because she just had knee surgery and she was up and around, didn't even have to be hospitalized after she was thrown around. I am shocked her knee didn't suffer more damage!

These tornados were so close to my home. I am blessed we didn't get damage and very happy everyone survived it.

It is amazing and such a blessing. Thank the lord for always answering our prayers.

base for lemon cheese cake made....home make lemon pie filling cooked....twice (forgot to add the cornstarch and after it was almost cooled I finally clued in as to why it was not thickening!)

tomorrow after church, I am going to chop all the vegies for the salad and then head off for an afternoon of fun.

Hope you all are doing well!

I'm very behind, so forgive me if I'm out of the loop. You are all never far from my thoughts.

Life has been very hectic lately. Hope things calm down a bit, and I'm able to be back here more often. When things get rough, I really start thinking of the holidays, and magically feel a liitle sense of hope creep in.

I've missed all of you! And the Christmas cheer!!!

What have I missed in the past 2 weeks?

We watched Christmas Magic last night- very cute movie. Then, when we turned it off, Jingle All The Way was on =)

Has anyone seen the movie "Lovely, Still?". Check it out, not what I was expecting, but in a powerful & beautiful way.
