A heavenly happy birthday to your daddy!!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I met with the previous mayor of Bellville last night. He gave me a list of all the things that he has agreed to do in the last 12 years, that he always did himself. These things don't come with email (or even snail-mail) reminders. Ugh. I need a tablet that has an active calendar that will popup a reminder like "Don't forget to send water samples to Atlanta next week, or they will revoke the city charter!!" It seems that every onscure state agency has the authority to revoke your charter if you don't stop what you're doing and answer their questions NOW. Grrr.

Today is my dad's birthday. He would have been 72. I surely do miss you, daddy. :(

I hope y'all have a great day!

Why in heaven's name didn't you just go out on the front porch of Cracker Barrel and claim a rocking chair for the afternoon? I would have!!!

Well the rain keeps breaking up so I went and met some friends for lunch at cracker barrel. Yum!! Now I think I need a nap.

Very cute, MC. KFC, Kentucky Derby--get it???

Busy day today ... eye exam, had to order new glasses, an appointment up on the North Shore, back home to run some errands. Then Mr. picked up a bucket of KFC and we watched the Kentucky Derby. He'll be spending the night helping his mom look after his dad, so it'll be a little lonesome here. No big plans tomorrow, so we can recharge.

Thank you for all your birthday wishes. I went to a dinner at the Elks Lodge, but was too tired to eat anything except the dessert. I brought the rest home and will probably have it tonight.

Have a great trip to Cyprus, Solice. That will be so much fun!

CAH--thinking of you, and SIT, too!

Welcome back to those who have returned. You are really missed.

I found out on Thursday that I do not have a pointed head. It is pretty much round. Not too bad, but Yul Bryner I am NOT!!!

Xmas, LOVE your avatar.

Hugs to you, CM3. Now hush your mouth about the I-word!!!

On my birthday, I got a letter with a gift card inside. It stated it was from Medicare!!! Yep, the big 6-5!!!

mcramsey (((HUGS))). The same to you MC, and Mister.

Love to all.

It's a tradition for us to get a bucket of KFC to eat from during the Derby coverage! It's the official chicken of the Kentucky Derby. They're one of the sponsors.

Brad - A very happy birthday to your dad... I know he is still with you xo

Good evening, Christmas family. Hermione had her last puppy kindergarten class today. I am so proud of the puppy she has become. She still has a couple of issues when shet gets really tired but she has come full circle and is such a wonderful, good girl. Her graduation photo is supposed to be available this Thursday on line. I don't know if it will be but if it is and if I can copy it, I will post it here...........Now. The reason I called my self an idiot or as one of my TV heroes, Monk, says, "Here's the thing": Training on May 1 with the new company was really draining, as training always is. It was really quite confusing. The platform they work off of had about a zillion things to remember. That was okay. I still typed some reports and they all went to QA which is usual for a "newbie". In fact, I expected that. The next day I got on early in the morning, still having some trouble learning the platform but doing better. On the 3rd they made me take training a second time. If it would have helped ot taught me something it would have been fine. As it was it only wasted an hour out of the time I was supposed to be typing. That was strike one, it made no sense to me. Once I had enough documents in QA I began to review them fully expecting there to be errors as I was so new. However, the errors were NOT medical errors. Everything that was marked incorrect was something petty. At least I consider it petty to mark something wrong because a comma is in the wrong place or a hyphen. I know it is very important to be grammatically correct but in the world of transcription, believe me, doctors ARE NOT grammatically correct. As long as the content is pretty much accurate such as patient name, medications, etc., then those are the really important things, NOT if there is perfect punctuation. Plus one of the things which was marked wrong was a doctor dicated "right nares". Nares is plural. Naris is the correct word when speaking of one I believe, yet even though I typed the grammatically correct word it was changed to a plural. Strike two.

Feeling very discouraged and upset and like I did not know what they wanted, I got on really early again on Friday. By 10 or 10:30 a.m. I was out of work. I notified my team leader and told her and she said shew was aware and that "Dr. So and So should be sending in work soon...." It never happened. I checked for two hours and NOTHING. Not one stitch of work and no offer to find me anything. Strike three. I do not get an hourly wage. I get paid PER LINE. I cannot afford to sit there with NO WORK ALL DAY.

So I called my old company and they said yes, they wanted me back. Now even though I abhore 1-9 it is stable work and the work does not run out. I need stability right now before I get behind on the bills. That is why I called myself an idiot - Because I went back to my former employer, assuming they don't change their minds. I did not know what else to do.......

So there you have it....Back to the beginning again......I think.....

Solice - I hope you are okay xo

(((HUGS))) to all especially Ella, Snowball, Gomez, Chico, Snickers, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Victor, Penny, Pocket, and all furkids everywhere. xo

Hey friends! Sorry I missed coffee time this morning, but all the talk about Dads made me think I should go enjoy my Mom this morning. She is home alone because Dad works away, so she always enjoys me coming to see her. Plus, it had been almost a week and we live about 100 yards apart (as the crown flies). QUOTE]
Did you go see your mum? somethimes it hard to get all done in the busy lifes we lead.

Good Evening Christmas friends!

Well think that me caught up
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
Hope all furbabies are doing good
My weekend was busy. saturday i had the shop and as i thought 2/3 hours wood do but no i was running all day putting stuff in. it was really busy
Sunday morning i went to a car boot sale and have to say it was really good. i came home a bit early as i only had a few items left and it looked bad looking. got my dinner and had a hour doze
Went down the street. and you should have seem me try to control 57 harley davison bikes. i can honesly say i found it hard. as i could not find who owned some of them and a few i could not understand.they were parked everywhere and here i was trying to get them lined up in 2,s to start the run round the town half of them was in the pub !!!but i got there in the end.. never again..and then they were people coming over looking there kids they had lost. and kids coming over looking there mums , at one time i had 4 kids with no mummys.. i made them sit on a big bike that wood have held another 4 if needed.
So today am doing NOTHING. its is a bank holiday over here and shops banks and post office is all shut..so my plans are to do a few racing bets and sit and chill out ...and maybe have a wee drink.
O my brother came down yesterday morning just as i was about to leave for car boot sale and was telling me. that his wife(the one that got head butted the week befour) was drunk on satuday and she ended up saying to the son and daughter.. i wish you 2 had died at birth
You can imagine what i said to that..then the daughter phoned me to tell me as well and she is taking it really bad.. what a thing for any mother to say to her kids .. this woman needs to get sorted . or my brother needs to wish up !!!!!

anyway....

I am SO ready to be back here! It's been awhile!!!

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind wishes on here and in private messages I received regarding the passing of my uncle. I will miss my uncle and I will miss Christmas Eve over there, a tradition that has been going on for over 30 years. Our family has been so busy and still have some matters to settle with my uncle's house. It has been a sad time but we are a strong family and we will get through it!

The family gave me all my uncle's Christmas decorations. They know how much I love Christmas!

Time to move forward like my uncle would have wanted it!

I am ready to countdown the days until Christmas in July and Christmas! cheesy

Hello again, Friends.

You bet!

Well, we had good weather for our visit to the coast and nearly all the rain fell at night when you can really enjoy hearing it out the window.
There was quit a bit of work to do but we got most every thinng done. One more trip ought to do it.

We started out at 59 degrees here in the capital city with a predicted high in the mid 70's and no rain.
Great!

You have a Marvelous Monday, Folks.

still cooking, but looks like it will soon be done, taking longer than the recipe says. Maybe it is the stove I am using.

How did it turn out? I bet it was at least a thousand times better than store bought!

Hi, Solice! Have a most excellent, fun and relaxing vacation in Cyprus! I'm not sure why I said that, I know you are going to have a great time! Sending lots of love ♥ back to you - talk to you next week!!

Goodnight all

God Bless xx

Good morning, irishsnow! God Bless you!

Good evening,

We did a lot of work around the house today, worked on the yard, mowing, cleaning up the fallen limbs from last October's freak snowstorm, I had to use a hand saw to cut all the branches from their former tree homes. So much for resting my foot today. We also finally caught up with folding laundry, pheww!

I am exhausted, I am ready for sleep now.

So....

Good night!

Wow! You got a lot done. I hope your foot is feeling all right today! There is a lot of cleanup to do around here, too. The best time to deal with it is in the fall, though, as I'm less likely to encounter a snake then cheesy.

Hmmmm, would it be wrong of me to request the weekend off from work that QVC does Christmas In July?
I am really considering it.

Sounds good to me!

Thank you for all your birthday wishes. I went to a dinner at the Elks Lodge, but was too tired to eat anything except the dessert. I brought the rest home and will probably have it tonight.

Hermione sounds like such a doll - I can't wait to see her picture. Thank you for always thinking of Mouse and Palmer! As to being "Back to the beginning again", I would think that things would go better for you now since you are in a position to better appreciate all the good that company has to offer. It will make the bad that you deal with not so bad when you remember what the place you left was like. Not very succinct, I know, and I apologize. Have a wonderful day!!! {{CM3}}
