Christmas Countdown - 2012

good even'in y'all!

well we had a "bog" today. it was pretty good. that's what my hubby & b-i-l called it but there's another name peeps around here call it and i can't remember it. chicken, shrimp, crab legs, lobster, corn on the cob, potatoes, all in one pot w/ old bay seasoning....is it shrimp boil? oh i can't remember. it was pretty good. we called it a night early though cause we have work in the a.m.

hubby took a nap this evening so he could stay up for the 3 night series of "the hatfields & mccoys" coming on tonight @ 9p.m.
MADE- this is the movie i told you about a while back. it's on the history channel.
we are early birds & are usually in bed by 9p.m. i think the 1st one will come on @ 7p.m. tomorrow night, before the 2nd one shows @ 9p.m. so he could wait till then to watch it if he wanted.

i'm in agreement w/ everyone else about this weather. it's way too hot too early in the season. here we get kind'a used to it though.

leaves me wishing for Christmas time!! aaaahhhhh, in my dreams!

What a day! Perfect weather, sunny, warm but not to warm, and a little breeze. Pre-game at Fenway, they had a color guard and dropped a huge flag over the Green Monster for the National Anthem, which was played by a military brass quintet. Good game, some exciting plays, and the Sox won 7 to 4 in plenty of time to catch the train. Catching some "Pawn Stars" now. Gee, I hate to go back to the office tomorrow---and I've got a dental checkup besides.

Wayne and I just got home a little bit ago from my job and it was fun to see all the critters greet us as we came in especially the guinea pigs! The guinea pigs squeal so loud when I come in wanting their food!

We are going to find something else to do today. :wiggy:

Around here we call it a Low Country Boil, but I've never tried it with chicken in it (or lobster). I guess you boil the chicken till done in a separate pot, the add it to the boil?

Next time, drop some whole, peeled Vidalia onions in it, too!

Home again, the move is done and so am I.
I think I am going to be seriously stiff in the morning!

My daughter is all moved in, now she has to unpack and settle in. The place is very nice, bright and clean, much nicer than the basement room she moved out of. This one is on the second floor with a view of the soccer filed were all the cute guys were out practicing tonight. She was talking about buying some binoculars. LOL

I think I will head up and relax with a book for awhile.

Well, I successfully accomplished....nothing.

Sit around and did mostly nothing all day. I think sometimes we all need a day like that. I just didn't decide it was going to be that way until around two...but I will take it.

Sitting here now watching the NBA playoffs....not that I'm an NBA fan...but I do kinda enjoy playoffs of all sports.

About to watch a little more, then pickup and get ready for bed. I will be lurking a little while later tonight. I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. I will see y'all tomorrow afternoon.

Wayne and I have been running all weekend and had a nice day today. Went walking around the mall "window shopping". We were wishing it was decorated for Christmas! We usually only go there during Christmas time. We went out for lunch then came home to do a little yard work together. Now we are just kicking back watching some TV.

This week will be very busy but good!

Well today was a pretty relaxing day, did hot dogs on the grill for lunch, then burgers on the grill for dinner. Enjoyed the nice cool AC as much as I could, and cleaned the kitchen up. My wife made some sugar cookies with LC, he loves to cook, they were in the shape of the flag, USA, ice cream cone, baseball bat and ball, all little slices of Americana in honor of Memorial Day. Back to work tomorrow, only 4 hour shifts for Tuesday and Wednesday, so that will be different, I am only going in tomorrow because I have an inventory, and a training session with one of my employees.

Good evening, Christmas family

Work has been done for a couple of hours. Had some goobers but not too many.

My iPod is just acting WACKY. My husband had gotten himself an iPod last January or February and really doesn't like it so he gave me his !! I reset it and imported ALL MY SETTINGS and apps from iCloud and it is excellent !! My original iPod froze up when I was playing a game a couple of days ago and I figured it was done. So I put it in its box and wrote it off.

My husband happened to be walking by it tonight and asked why was it on inside the box ?? I was amazed !! It came back all by itself......Then five hours later it acted unresponsive and "frozen" again which is where it is now.......I guess the rice and silica gel packs didnt help... Must have gotten too much water damage, I guess.

I figure one of these days it will just die and not come back if that hasn't happened already. I am still kickiing myself for it. I mean who washes an iPod ?? Geez....

So anyway, when my original one is working that is how I have two ! At this point it is back to one...

I hope everyone is well.

Xmas - How is your wife doing about Milo ?? I know EXACTLY how sad you all are. It has just been a month for Ivy.

I am anxiously awaiting Christmas in July and the Hallmark ornaments on July 14th !! xo

Xmas - How is your wife doing about Milo ?? I know EXACTLY how sad you all are. It has just been a month for Ivy.

She is having a hard time, she is keeping herself busy at all times, but when she sits that is when it is hardest for her, she has spent a lot of time at the garden we buried him in, talking to him. I think the boys make it harder also because this is the first time they have experienced death of a loved one they ask a lot of questions about it. I am supporting her and trying to help her through it, but sometimes only time can help.

We had summertemp. last week.
Up to 25c (77F) (that's a Norwegian summer)
Now it's getting colder again. 7c (44.6F) today.
The sun is shining between the rain....

Im planning my sons Birthday on Friday.
Isak turns 4 years old! =] We are celebrating Friday and Sunday.
