I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I'm having my coffee, listening to Christmas music I recorded from last Christmas on Dec 20th, finished my morning devotional, and I started thinking about all my friends at MMC. So hello to all and have a Merry June 13th Christmas!

I think most of us (not all) stand alone too, that is why we join on the forums to celebrate it. I don't know anyone personally that mention anything about Christmas in July, just retail stores and Home Shopping. There might be some TV stations that show movies but not in my city, blah! lol...I think most people grumble when they hear the word, "Christmas", in the middle of the summer. For some reason they find it offensive to see any Christmas merchandise or the mention of it before mid November. Not me, I LOVE IT!!! =)

The one good thing about having little ones around, like my grandchildren, they have no issues of mentioning Christmas in the middle of the summer! :-x

Same over here you get the eye brows raised as if you just asked them for £1000 . AND I LOVE IT TO. dont care what anybody else says lol..at least here we all have one thing in common CHRISTMAS

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!!!! It's a warm day here in central Indy with a high of 80 predicted for this afternoon. My niece's were great at the movie this morning. My youngest got a little scared when it first started better she was better after that. Of course I did bribe them with popcorn and M&M's. Now I'm getting ready to head to the Pines as soon as my BIL gets home. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, so we had a birthday party for her after VBS ended for the day. She was so surprised! And the kids loved the ice cream cake I picked up at Dairy Queen...LOL.

I use to work at a Dairy Queen when I was a teenager. It was fun getting to eat all the ice cream I wanted for FREE! Most places you work for make you pay but this one didn't.

I think it's been about 3 months since I have had a "lazy" day. Not too lazy since I have some chores to do around the house but I am able to really kick back and do my own thing!

I do not babysit today, no work, not going to my uncle's house, no errands to run and no one is in the hospital. I am so glad Wayne is feeling healthy!

I have listened to some Christmas music, caught up on a few Christmas Podcast, popped in on here more than I have been able to in months and done a little organizing and cleaning.

It has been fantastic day today! I hope all of you are having a great day too! :

Afternoon MMC!

Haven't been on in a few days, my 10 week old daughter had her first cold!, which meant that it was a weekend without sleep!

The upside was she smiled after every sneeze :-D

She is better now and i got a great nights sleep last night, hope everyone here is ticking along their own merry road.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I opened Bernie's store again this morning while Bernie is away on a fishing trip to the coast. Our normal hours are 7am to 7pm, but I usually turn on the "OPEN" light when I get there at 6am. I did a pretty good bit of business in that early hour!

We've really been getting some rain lately! The pool was getting a little low, so I put more water in it yesterday during lunch. Then it started raining at 5pm. Now it's too full and I have to pump some out. LOL

Yesterday was our first day of VBS and it went great! Our church is very small, and we typically "share" a pastor with another area church. Ours meets from 9:30 - 10:30 am, then he goes to the next church from 11:00 - 12:00. Anyway, we usually share VBS with the other church, too, but not this year...and we had a big crowd! Our previous pastor decided to stay with us during VBS, and the new pastor was there, too. I think he'll be great for us.

After church, I had to go to city hall for a couple hours to prepare a report to the state concerning our water system. It's a report of all the regular testing we have done, and it was due June 1...! Maybe they'll forgive a new mayor for being a week late with a report? We'll see.

When taking on a new role I would always get annoyed when there was no "now do this" guide to show me what to do. Amazing how many jobs come with the "What, you did not know that?" assumptions!

I am doing pretty good.
Had a fun drive into work today! I rolled the windows down, and turned up Michael Buble's Christmas CD!! :-D

It's going to be hot again today, high of 105. If I were back in WI, I'd take the day off & head to the lake!! Now that sounds like fun!

Well, not much new here. I'm thinking about heading to Hobby Lobby this weekend to see if they've put any of their Christmas out yet. Michaels still hasn't either, I was at least hoping for some Fall decorations. We are so close!

Enjoying my last few minutes in the quiet, the boys and wife should be home any second, it is getting dark and cloudy here right now, some rain and t-storms coming in. The boys are going to freak out if it starts thundering out, after the tornado last year any loud noises outside scare them now. I hope all is going well today.

Hey everyone! It feels so good to be back here on MMC! We arrived home late Sunday night - about 12:30 am and I didn't get to bed until about 1:30 am. I got up Monday morning and had to work last night. With my schedule being off, I wasn't able to sleep last night before going to work, so I was very tired when coming home today!

We had a wonderful trip and I already can't wait to go back next year! Myrtle was awesome and so much more different from any other beach I ever went to. We had a really nice time.

As you know already... ...I'm very far behind. I just want to say that I read the post the other about Snow in Texas and being in the hospital. I had talked to made and he said that SIT was doing well. Just wanted to let SIT and CAH know I've been praying for you guys and am so happy that everything is okay. Hope you continue to do well, SIT!

I've missed all you guys and will try to keep up more often. Thursday is my day off this week, so I plan a day of reading posts for sure!

This is so true. Today I went into a thrift store where my friend works and bought some Christmas things. She looked at what I was carrying and asked, "Christmas again?" and a lady nearby said something like "There's always some people that will buy that kind of stuff all year."

I thought, yeah why not? I buy lots of stuff early not just Christmas. And I'm not gonna pass up good finds just because we aren't in the right season for them.

But I just replied with "I live for Christmas!" :yahoo:
