Today just happens to be Canada day, a day of celebration, parties, bbqs and fireworks.
A day to celebrate the joy of freedom in the second biggest country in the world!

There are 6 so far who want to send real cards. At the moment the plan is just to pair people up but if those involved want to send out more, then that's something we can discuss. Everybody, however, does the ecard to everybody else!!

Happy Canada Day, friends!!
What kind of festivities are you doing today? Do your towns have special Canada Day traditions? I'd love to hear about them!
I am going to be a bum again, and stay inside today!

I'm like a vampire that doesn't come out until night time =)
We had a great evening, had a great BIG dinner & sat outside on our patio watching fireworks with friends.
And I finally got to see the end of Poirot's Hallowe'en Party. Loved it! My Mom got me into so many of the PBS mysteries, Alfred Hitchcock, Ray Bradbury, etc. They just don't make mysteries, suspense, and horror like those anymore.
So excited for Christmas In July!!! Not long now!!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!
To quote the Abominabubble Snowman to Bugs Bunny, "Gosh, it's hot!" Thermometer said 105° at 5PM, and it never got below 80° last night. Whew!
It's been our family reunion weekend, which is a 3 day event for us. The theme this year was Christmas in July! And guess who crashed the party?
He said he had to allow the reindeer to play in the pool while he visited us, since the heat was so unbearable. Poor Santa had sweat pouring down his face, but he Ho, Ho, Ho-ed the entire evening while handing out gifts. What a trooper! I got a medicine ball...is he trying to tell me something?
It's going to be another hot day. Y'all stay cool and have a great day! cheesy

Sunday hello, and Happy Canada Day to those north of the U.S. border! We'll be having our national blowout on Wednesday.
I just heard yesterday about the powerful storms that rolled through the mid-Atlantic---some of them hit my old home town. Scary stuff. I hope the power is back on sooner than they are predicting. I read that some of the damage is reminiscent of hurricane damage.
We're picking up a friend later, going out to lunch, then coming back here for some movies.
Two of the world's tastiest starches ... and two of my favorites ...

back from church, having lunch and then into work for 5 hours.

Hope all is good with each and every one of you and all the furbabies
I am really to throw the towel in with this life of mine. if last week was not enough. my jeep starting heating up last night and and by the time i go to a petrol stationit was over heating big time filled it with water
This morning had someone look at it and he thinks it blow the clinder head gasket o boy that is not good . as i really need it for the shop i probably wood not mind so much but my other wee runaround is in the garage getting ready for the mot . and the jeep is gonna cosy about £700 as the guy thinks i will need a radiator as well . am really think of buying a good push bike he says the jeep will be ok on very short trips so am gonna try and get the runaround out and moted asap and then i can leave the jeep in to get it sorted. money !!!! i cant seem to make enough att he moment lol al well

Shellie - QVC always does Christmas in July and there is generally a weekend of Christmas movies on Sky somewhere. It's not as massive as in the States and Canada but it's slowly getting there!!!!!!!
