The last time somebody tried that, the only effect was that the sign was soon covered with passive-aggressive sticky notes with messages like "You are not my mother," then snarky replies to the notes, then snarkier replies to the replies ... if they'd used half the same energy on washing the dishes, there wouldn't have been a problem to begin with. *sigh*

Is it me? I'm just thinking that adults could be reasonably expected to clean up after themselves---if not when they finish eating, then at least before they leave for the day. Or maybe I should just suck it up and find something worthwhile to complain about.

Today had some good stuff, too. The local Walmart has the bicycle I want in stock, so tomorrow I'll ask them to do their free assembly, and we'll pick it up this week. Maybe I'll be riding this weekend!

I once did that to the company's fridge, I found a cartoon in the newspaper poking fun at company's refrigerators and how disgusting they are. I taped it to the front of the fridge hoping people would catch a drift or a laugh about it being such a mess, but they just threw away the cartoon within 24 hours. I always cleaned my stuff out but there was the bunch that just left there mystery meat in there.

I forgot to mention but I FINALLY saw Mr. Krueger's Christmas, starring Jimmy Stewart, last night. I decided to watch it here on MMC after I heard the new wonderful podcast and Jeff talked about it. It's only 30 minutes long and has a very moving story. I LOVED IT!!! I am sure most of you already seen it, if not, what are you waiting for!? :D

View it right here on MMC:
Mr. Krueger's Christmas

I highly recommend the podcast too. There is a discussion of Jimmy Stewart (along with other legends) and the making of this short movie:
Modern Legends of Christmas Podcast

I love Mr. Krueger's Christmas too !! It is so touching and makes me wish I could experience what he did xo

Hallmark is having their Christmas in July movie weekend this weekend!! Whoo Hooooo!!! I know where I'll be. It may be in the 90s but I can close my curtains, crank up the AC and pretend it's snowing outside!:)

That's the way Sprinklehouse !!!! I will be watching too !!!! xo

I got an email from Yankee Candle today, they have started advertising their Fall scented candles! New scents include:
Apple Pumpkin
Season's Blessings
Treehouse Memories
Whoopie Pie!
Caramel Pecan Pie
and Harvest Welcome.

My wife really wants to try Apple Pumpkin, it's my favorite scent (apple) and hers (pumpkin) so it could be a great compromise.

I wonder if they will ever make one that smells like a roasting turkey. I have always been curious about that, imagine burning a candle that smells like Thanksgiving while watching Christmas in July stuff.

New Christmas scents can't be too far behind. cheesy

Now I am really excited !!! I love Yankee candle's scents during the Christmas and Fall seasons !!! xo

There may be a heat wave across much of the U.S., but it's FREEZING here in the office every day. I'm huddled over a tiny space heater here trying to keep from shivering. Wish I could think of a way to send some of this chill to all you folks who NEED air conditioning just now. Please send hot cocoa and warm thoughts ...
:cold:

I remember the days when I worked in the hospital...Everyone but me was too hot......I had to huddle at my desk and type with blankets on because I was frozen.....I don't miss those days...The hot cocoa sounds WONDERFUL !!!!! xo

Good evening,

The baby back ribs were very good! Took JP and LC to the school track to ride their bike and big wheel, finally got JP to ride his bike without training wheels, he is so cautious and scared of new things, he struggled a bit but by the time we were ready too leave he was going longer distances by himself, he should be ready to fully go by himself the next time or the time after. Late day tomorrow.

Have a great night!

Good morning, MMC! I tried to reply to as many of you as possible from recent posts, so if I missed anyone I'm sorry. I hope that you all have a wonderful morning and a Tuesday filled with Christmas joy!

My life has been pretty boring the past few days. I got the pink eye on Saturday night but I didn't realize it until Sunday when I woke up and my eye wouldn't open. I spent the majority of my day in the doctor's office waiting for them to see me and prescribe me the drops. By the time I finally got home, I just wanted to relax. Yesterday was basically a repeat, minus going to the doctor's office. I spent the day working, doing school work, and just taking it easy. Today (again) will be a repeat of the past two days. It's very frustrating not being able to wear my contact lenses. The bad news is that the pink eye spread to my other eye, so now I am going to have to wait even longer to put them in! I guess I can't get a break.

Thank you for your nice comments for my friend about her dog. She appreciates the kindness! :] She is doing a lot better today and her other dog is finally adapting to being the only one in the family. It's a sad story but there is sadly nothing that can be done. And thank you for the well wishes when it comes to my eye!

My mom and I were hoping to head to the mall this week, but it doesn't look like it will happen. I am going to have to be without my contacts for a few more days and she will be busy with work. This weekend we will be celebrating my grandpa's 87th birthday, so I hope I am all better by then.

I am going to make sure that I have nothing to get done for school, then I'll probably just be lazy and relax in front of the TV. Have a great day at work everyone!!

Jennifer I hope your other eye will feel better soon xo Happy birthday to your Grandpa !! xo

The sign needs to come from management
But really, you are right, they need to grow up and remember they are at work, not nursery school.
if you have your own work station can you bring a small kettle of your own?

I think today is Annoying Day at the office ... the office kitchen has been full of dirty dishes for days on end. Folks just drop their soiled crockery in the sink and leave it there. And someone has turned the fridge setting up so high that the carton of milk is a solid block of ice. So there I was in the kitchen running hot water over the milk carton, trying to melt a couple spoonfuls for my tea, which was a feat considering the space under the faucet was occupied by dirty dishes.

Yes, I know ... I should be grateful to be working in an office with a sink, a fridge, and a supply of milk ... I'm sure I'm an ingrate to think it should have a clean sink and pourable milk. I think my middle age is showing.

You have a right to be annoyed !! That would annoy me also !! Good grief frozen milk .....

I have this on an old video tape and watch it every Christmas Season.
One of the best short Christmas stories I have ever seen.
It should not be missed.

I agree Crown....The first time I saw it, I didn't think it would have such an impact on me...Of course I wound up weeping like a fawcet !! xo
