Good evening, Christmas family

What a day........I was quite ill and in quite a bit of pain for the entire shift. In fact, I quit half an hour early and will try to make it up before my last day. I just could not type one more report feeling like that.

All I know is that I had not eaten much yesterday and was so hungry when I finished working so I grabbed a PB and J sandwich.......and BOOM !!! That was that. Since peanut butter has a high degree of fat I am wondering if this is some sort of gallbladder or pancreatitis problem.......Anyway, it is better now, it is still there but it is better. Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow............

I did not feel well at work yesterday too, much better by end of shift. I think I was just a bit over tired. Hope you are feeling better today.

love this.....but who's the guy in the gold sleigh being pulled by a bull?

Santa's brother, he is usually quiet and behind the scenes content to let his brother shine. But once a year on July 25th Santa bestows on him some Christmas magic and out he goes to remind all who believe that the spirit of Christmas is alive and well all year long.
If everyone allowed this spirit to live all year long what a wonderful world we would live in!

Good Morning, Everybody!

Can it be?

Yes it is!

The LAST Shispering Pines open house of July!
Seems incredible that we are this far along in the rolling year.
Just think. The next open house will be in August and the month after that we will be launching the Christmas Blossoms thread!
(And won't things start to move fast, then!)

Now all these happy thoughts should get you in a good mood to consider this:
Days to the Season: 111
Days to Christmas Day: 153
The day after tomorrow - single digits to the 100-day Season Window!
Wow-wee-wonders!!

Still more rain yesterday afternoon with an even greater threat of severe weather.
Had some strong winds blow through that took down some trees, but none in our neighborhood.
Kinder and gentler weather is predicted for today.
We show 71 degrees here at this hour.

Well, OK.
Carl and company are ready at the old S.P. with the theme of "Farewell to July".
Hmmm...... I wonder how one decorates with a theme like that?
Not to worry, though. Carl will come up with something novel that bears his unique thumbprint.
(Er - better make that hoofprint).

Anyway, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

thanks Crown for always keeping us up to date on the countdown!
Hope your weather is not to bad, keep safe.
Looking forward to celebrating Christmas in July at the pines tonight!
I hear from meceka that fireflies are decorating all the trees with lights already...going to be nice.

Wednesday hello and Merry Christmas in July! I think I caught a cold while I was away. Scratchy throat all evening yesterday and today. I brought some tea, honey, and lemon juice to the office so I can battle it today. Maybe I can stop it from getting very far.

Good morning, MMC!

I thought I would take a walk in the Pines before I started working today. I'm not sure how Carl did it, but the fireflies are out in force this morning and have all the pine trees twinkling with light. It is both magical and beautiful! I wonder what else he has in store for us today?!

Have a MERRY day!

:rudolph:

A gorgeous sight ... Nature's Christmas-in-July lights!

I thought the tree skirt was really neat. I was THINKING about trying it in red/gray/white colors for our Ohio State tree in the basement...which would totally change the look of it, but...! Lol!

That's the beauty of the granny square---you can mix in whatever colors you want! Go for it! The red/gray/white combination looks great for winter hats, scarves, and sweaters, too.

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!!

What a morning!!! My guy's teeny tiny pup escaped earlier so we had to go looking for him separately. When it was getting to be a half an hour we thought he was gone for good, especially since we live near an extremely busy road that has the traffic of a highway. Luckily, while I was walking around, I spotted him and grabbed him. Not the way I wanted to spend my morning, but at least he's safe!

What is everyone up to today, aside from work? I can't believe that July is almost over already!! Time flies!

I am going to go get ready for the day!

Merry Christmas In July & Happy Rudolph Day!

It's Wednesday so it's my late work day, Waiting for the cable guy to get here again, this time to replace the cable box, not fudge around with it and say it is fixed. I will lose my Christmas shows, but I can record them again in the best season of all. I am decked out in my Christmas Vacation shirt for CIJ, it's the picture of Santa getting shocked by the Christmas lights, like the movie poster..."it's a beauty Clark." I should probably start getting my dinner ready for work tonight

Have a great Pine's Day!!!

I highly recommend the podcast too. There is a discussion of Jimmy Stewart (along with other legends) and the making of this short movie:

I watched this last night. Cute!!! It is worth the 30 minutes it takes to watch it! :)

Good morning, Christmas family !!

Tummy is much better today !! Still a very very slight twinge now and then but overall back to normal....Thank goodness.

Take care everyone. For all who have sent e-cards so far ....Thank you !!! They are all so beautiful and I think a key factor in my feeling better xo
