Good afternoon,

I left work early today, my neck just was hurting too much to make a full day, but I lasted 6 hours, 3 more than I planned. I just kept pushing myself for one more hour every hour. It feels better than it did yesterday though. Gotta love the stinky IcyHot though.

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Feeling better every day! I do miss salt, though. And Diet Pepsi! And fried chicken! And steaks, and sausage, and...and...and...

It doesn't matter. This just means I'll get to have more time with my family!

You guys have been great, as have so many people from my family and the entire county. I never knew I was so well known...LOL!

I'm going back to the couch. I hope y'all have a great day!

Funny about the walkway lights suggestion ... Mr. was wondering about getting some of those and whether there was any way of dressing them up for the holidays. (The solar-charged kind.) I told him I didn't think they made anything like that, but I guess they do! Could you post a link to some of the shades they make for Christmastime?

I'm still leaning toward plug-ins that I can put near the door or the front of the house, like you mentioned. I still like the idea of pre-lit outdoor Christmas trees. Must do some measuring and decide where they should go and how big they should be. If I come up with something that looks nice, I'll post photos. But I'm sure it'll be nothing compared with the all-out decorations some of you folks do!

I'm having trouble finding some, MerryCarey. Drats! I'll keep looking though..I've seen them before @ Home Depot & Lowe's. And I could've sworn that QVC had them on one of their shows during their Christmas In July. Anyone remember that? Were they Bethlehem Lights? There's nothing on the QVC site right now...I'll keep looking!

hung out here @ home today w/ my son, Seth. we got pizza. it was very good.

hey merry c. there's lots of things you can do for decor on the outside of your home. use tomato cages, turn them upside down, put the "new" bottom in a planter, wrap w/ Christmas lights & tada beautifully lit trees for the outside of your home. if you have fencing around your yard, hang the icicle lights from it for a really cool look. find some wooden dowels, foam plates, & colored cling wrap. put 2 foam plates together, top to top, (may need a bit of newspaper to fill the inside) slide the dowel into the plates, cover the plates w/ colored cling, tie w/ curly ribbon.....giant lollipops to line your walkway! this looks great for a candy land themed decor. if you've got white posts on your porch, use red outdoor ribbon & turn them into peppermint sticks. girl i gotta ton of ideas. you'll come up w/ some cool stuff, i just know it.

hello guys/gals! I had a dr appt for my yearly checkup and took the afternoon off..so I have had a great monday!! this is Brandi's last few days of summer vacation as she goes back on friday...and it's HOT..HUMID and awful..,but that is summer in the south...can't wait for fall.I can really tell the days are getting shorter especially in the am because I drive to work around 6 am...By Sept it will stil be dark at 730..can't say I like that but I really enjoy watching the small changes that lead up to Fall...I hope everyone is doing good. I have to catch up on alot here!

Like Holiday said, You should be able to eat most things in moderation once you get back to where you should be. Heck I know 2 vegetarians that have had heart attacks and one of my great uncles that was a health nut had to have triple bypass. So it's not always just about what you eat, sometimes it's just in your gene's.

This is so true Made !!! For instance.....I eat no red meat yet my choleseterol is something like 240 .......My good cholesterol I guess is really high at 120.......It really doesn't mean anything if you are even a vegetarian.....it is still possible to not eat healthy !! I am a living example....but I plan to restart on a more healthful diet soon !!
