Good Morning, Mid-Week 'Pines-Prepared Participants!

Back around to the center again.
We are moving along so quickly!

Yes, indeed.
Just look at this:
Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146
Just barely over half a week remaining now until our next Milestone, 100-day Season mark.
Then, those coveted double-digits will be here to help make things go that much faster!
(Just gives you chills, doesn't it?)

Really pretty nice here yesterday with a high barely over 80 and no rain.
We show 73 degrees here at this hour.

what a crazy day at work! I came in, the order had arrived and not put away properly. The inspector had been in. Nothing was in the pull fridge (this is a small fridge behind the counter were you can quickly grab another bin of what ever you need to make subs) There was a mountain of dirty dishes to do.
On top of it, when I came in everyone left (did I need a shower or something????!!!!)
Then the customers started coming, a steady stream and by myself it was a challenge.
Finally the young man who works there came in and hour early and I talked him into staying to help. I let him look after the customers while I filled the pull fridge as quickly as possible. Well the darling emailed the boss and told her what was going on. She showed up about 1/2 hour later with 2 of our best workers and they quickly stepped up to help get everything caught up.
By the time I left it was getting better until we ran out of baked bread! Oye!!
I had already put a bunch out of the freezer to thaw and turned on the over and proofer (where the bread goes to rise) so by the time I did leave we had 20 baked, and 30 in the proofer and another 60 in the defroster.
For some reason I am tired now!
I want a raise!!!

good a.m. y'all! well the pain from the dentist is getting better. i had a bit of scar tissue on the inside of my bottom lip that had been there all my life practically. recently i had began biting it as i would eat & it caused alot of pain & swelled. the pain i was having yesterday was because the dentist removed it for me. OUCH!!!!! once it heals over i'll be fine but you should see me trying to talk w/out letting my lower lip touch my teeth. my boys think it's hilarious. i also had 2 fillings done & daughter had 3 done. when we got home the boys made fun of us for a while w/ our mouths still numb. headed to work this morning. tomorrow morning daughter & i have dermatologist appts. the office is about 1 hour away & our appt. is @ 7:30. my daughter hasn't gotten up that early all summer! lol.

I know !! Me too about the spooky movie !! Only I like the "classics"... Dracula with Bela Lugosi, Frankenstein with Karloff, etc... Some of the newer movies in my opinion are just too bloody !! xo

I agree, CM3! I enjoy the classics & cult classics, B movies, psychological thrillers, etc. Love a good old-fashioned ghost story. xo

I had a Coby Kyros mid7012 but the charging port on it broke after 7 months. So I took it back and they upgraded me to the mid7033. It's okay but I'm still not thrilled with the charging port on it. The cord has to be at just the right angle for it to charge. For a $100 tablet they are okay but I really wouldn't recommend either one.

Thanks for always thinking about my niece. She is doing okay lately. The orencia really seems to be helping her. She was also really excited because she got to go to an arthritis camp over the weekend and see a little girl that she met there last year from Alaska.

I feel bad for the family from Alaska. They don't have any doctors there that will treat JIA. So they have to fly down to Seattle every month for doctors appointments and treatments.

Just sneaking out to the Pines hehe. Carl handed me a cup of candy cane hot chocolate that he made. MMmmmm.
Oooh ohoohh! Get this! I was at the dollar store yesterday and they have HALF A ROW of Halloween stuff! My Wife was disgusted, while I was giddy. hah! Still a heat wave in August. At least that's what they are saying. With little rain in sight. Sheesh. This weekend is my 5th Wedding Anniversary! I am giving my Wife a traditional gift. A wooden Angel that's holding a heart! Whoops, better get back to work. Have a great day all!

I always recommend "The Devil Bat"---it's a good old-fashioned, low-budget horror movie from the 1940s starring Bela Lugosi, with a good dose of sly humor mixed in. Lugosi raises giant vampire bats trained to attack people wearing an experimental shaving lotion that Lugosi has whipped up---and he gives free samples to all his enemies ...

I also enjoy a good non-horrific ghost movie like "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" or "The Canterville Ghost."

Well at least Indiana isn't going to be the only place that is going to be hot in August.

That's pretty daunting ... we need a loop of cold-weather music (Winter Wonderland, Marshmallow World, Let It Snow, etc.) to ward it off until Fall!

Good morning everyone!

I was not able to stop by yesterday, so I decided that called for an earlier than usual stop-in today. With yesterday being the final day of July, I figured that it was an important day to visit, however, my body had other plans. I managed to sleep through the entire lunch hour at work. I didn't even eat! Kim had been sick all weekend and it turns out that she gave me a bit of her sickness. Thankfully, I made it through my workday, however, I was stuck on the couch from 4:30 until this morning. At least I could watch the Olympics! The good news? I feel much better. I'm hoping that it will all be gone tomorrow.

It can't be August already, can it?! While walking to work today, I began to think - "less than two months until the Christmas Blossoms thread" and "barely more than two months until The Bay at the Rideau Centre begins to put their Christmas decor in the overpass between their store and the mall." How exciting! The countdown truly is lowering... And I'm sure we all know that just by Crown's announcement of only 104 Days left until the Season!

Well, I should get back to work. We'll see if I can continue feeling better throughout the day. I'm really hoping to re-gain the ability to hygerate without feeling terrible. I'm sure I'll be fine though. This stuff usually doesn't last long with me...

Good morning! Happy Hump Day! Happy Pines Day! Happy 1st day of August!!! So many things to celebrate today!!!

I went for a walk this morning just before the sun came up. Did anyone see the moon?? It was HUGE! It looked like a big orange October moon!! Like you see in a cartoon Halloween special! Very cool!

I better get to the Pines quick before Undrtkr drinks all the candy cane cocoa! I hope Carl brewed some candy cane coffee too!!

Outside it's just going to be hot. I have to babysit for awhile today and then I don't know what I'm going to do. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I 1st read this I thought "WHAT?? It can't be that much cooler in Indiana than it is in Ohio - it was 69º already when I came into work this morning!!!" :lol:

I love finding these little gems when I am on YouTube, I have found so many by accident while searching for my Christmas Song A Day, for the thread. I am already planning a blog post at the end of the year about searching for a Xmas song everyday, it really has been an exciting, fun experience finding "new" and different songs that I never heard before.

You can't beat those classics, I love the Frankenstein with Karloff, Bride of Frankenstein was great also. I can't stand all the blood and gore.
