Oh man! I thought about a glass of wine tonight, but I didn't have one open & didn't feel like opening one! I should have gone for a wine in my Christmas glass! What was I thinking!?

Well, the good news is my brother/sil made it home safe & sound. They BUZZED over the top of Mom & Dads house...my sisters & I were there sitting on the deck, hammering out final details for my brothers memorial bike ride Saturday when he flew over...I thought my 1 sis was going to have the big one! She thinks she could have reached up & grabbed his plane! Lol! It was LOUD! He got yelled at when he arrived! ;-) And he'll do it again the next time!

As for my Buster - well the doc thinks his lens fell & he is developing glaucoma. She feels eventually his eye will have to come out. She says we can try medicine/drops 1st & see how it does but she feels eventually it will get too painful for him. Right now it doesn't seem to bother him at all. OR she said we can go to another vet to get a pressure test done (they don't have the ability to do that at my vet office) & they will maybe know where to go from there. But she feels his pressure is low now b/c it doesn't bother him. BUT if it does start to bother him, they can do another pressure test & be able to see how much it has progressed. OR I can go to an opthamologist. She said they might have a more specific treatment, rather than general meds. One is an hour away, another is 2 hours away. EEK! How far do you go?? He's 16 years old!!! I can't imagine taking out his eye at 16...seems like a lot for a dog his age to go through. Ugh! I hate it. He is on an antibiotic & a steroid right now. I keep looking at him hoping it will just go away! I know better, but.... I just hate it!!! What a week it's been!!!!

I'm heading to bed shortly, so I'll say good night! Sweet dreams!!!

Oh, Holiday, I know what you are going through is difficult. I will keep both of you in my prayers! Take care, my friend, and have a MERRY day! {{{HUGS}}}

Good morning my MMC Friends!!!! :hi:

Well, my brothers memorial bike ride is tomorrow! Ready or not, here it comes!!! I finally finished icing all the cookies this morning before work! I still need to make pumpkin muffins for the event. Tomorrow night there is a music fest in the park accross the road from our house, so my family (and some friends) is coming over. My BIL is making ribs & I am making soup....which I have some of the veggies already chopped, corn cut off the cob....today I need to put it all together in the crock pot! Since my brother/sil are here, it's hard to "work"...we just want to hang out! But I'll git 'r done. My hubby has the day off work today, & I get off work at noon, so we have a little extra time to get the house ready & bake...hopefully!!!

Busters eye is maybe not quite as red this morning. It's hard to tell, he doesn't like anybody "messing" with him! He was happy, ready to go outside, begging for food this morning. I think I'll call the vet & tell them to call in his prescription & we'll see where it goes from there. If it starts to bother him, we can do the pressure test & decide if we should remove the eye at that time. Ugh...i hate this! :(

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! Make it a great day!!!

Good morning, MMC!

I woke up this morning and thinking it was Saturday tried to go back to sleep. Mouse would have none of that, so I got up and fed her and Palmer. Made myself a coffee and stood outside enjoying the start to my nice, leisurely day, and then realized that it was actually Friday

Lots to do, so I will see y'all later tonight or tomorrow. Have a most MERRY day and know that I will be praying for all of you!

:sparkle:

I got up early this morning being unable to sleep. I logged on here around 3 a.m. or so for a few minutes, and then decided to make myself go back to sleep. Now I am awake and wish I had more time to sleep! Off to the doctor I go. They open at 7 a.m. and I have to be back when my kiddos go to lunch at 11:45. I am praying for those whose hearts are saddened right now, for those who are experiencing pain or illness, and for all of our critters! TTYL

Then we went to the grocery store, and LC was acting up a little, and what to my wandering eyes should appear. An older gentleman who looked exactly like Santa Claus, he even was wearing red shorts with a white shirt, I told LC that it was Santa and you should have seen his face. It was priceless!!! He watched him walk around the corner and tried to peek at him. He did ask me where was Mrs. Claus was, I told him Santa likes to shop by himself sometimes to see how kids behave in stores. The gentleman must get that all the time, he looked so much like the Sundblom, Coca-Cola paintings.

I love "Santa" sightings! A couple years ago we went to a minor-league baseball game in Maryland, and there "he" was in the stands---even had a white pom-pom on top of his red baseball cap! I have a photo somewhere.

We have a couple in our Elks Lodge who are in their 90s. They swear that drinking pickle juice at the first sign will stop leg cramps in their tracks immediately!!!

Yes ... the stomach cramp makes you forget about the leg cramp! cheesy

Went to work at 5:47 this morning.....got home at 10:30

#longday #tired #goodnight

Ugh ... I thought I had a tiring day yesterday, but yours takes the cake. Hope you got enough rest last night to tackle today!

shellie12, my favorite part of the picture in your sig in the mailbox in the foreground bursting with Christmas cards and parcels!

Ohhhh, I hate it when that happens!!!! Well, TOMORROW is Saturday, so you still have that to look forward too! Have a good day!

Isn't that how it always works! Can't sleep when you are supposed to be sleeping & then when it's time to get you, you can sleep & sleep....
Good luck at the doc today! Hope all is well!

Friday hello ... hoping the workload at the office is not quite so intense today, and looking forward to the weekend, even though I have various projects I have to move along instead of relaxing.

I drink green tea with lemon ~ love it!

All you green tea lovers---I just can't learn to like the taste. What's the secret? shellie12, I believe you mentioned that you were doing something wrong and now you're doing it right ... what was that? My favorite is still black tea---usually a strong breakfast tea with milk and sugar. I like to have one early in the workday to get me going.

Christmasstar, I keep thinking about you and those onions! Did you ever get any results other than onion odor? cheesy You deserve applause for being the guinea pig for this remedy! I relied on a different strong odor last night to help my bug: Vicks VapoRub. And it helped.

It works! I use it every time I get leg cramps, and the cramps are gone ASAP. (Plus, I like pickle juice - cheesy )

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Mom's at her first physical therapy session right now. I hope it's not too bad on her.

It's another beautiful day here in southeast GA. It's supposed to be in the low to mid 80's all week. That's stupendous for this area!

I hope y'all have a wonderful day! cheesy

that is so cool! We have a guy in town here that looks like a santa, I wonder how many kids think he is?

I'm with Brad on this one. For tournaments, we often play four games in one day. At the end of the day, people are cramping pretty bad and plenty of people use pickle juice as a solution. It works! Like Brad I also enjoy the taste.

A chilly and wet morning here.
Went out and picked up some supplies I need for working on my cakes competition cakes.
cannot decide what I want for lunch, maybe I will just skip it and have a sub at work later.
