So now I got a notion that I would remodel my bathroom...the original from 1949 in my little ranch. OOOOOOOhhhh boy, well the domino effect is now happening where the little project is getting to be big and expensive.
I'm ready to pull my hair out and suddenly my little peach tiled 1949 bathroom is looking not THAT bad!
Keep a good thought for me Christmas friends and know this in your heart- I hereby swear to make this my last big remodeling project in this little Italian girl's lifetime...oh yeah, going out of this house feet first with it looking just the way it is after this project!
Have a great Saturday evening folks!

Awwww.... Momnan. I hope it turns out beaitufully for you !!! xo

Thinking of you!! Just remind yourself how awesome it's going to look =]
Hope it goes well, my friend. Good luck! And please post pictures when it's finished.

So let's see. I took my niece's to the apple orchard to get apples, the grocery store, and to toys r us to get some Christmas ideas. Then I took them home. While at my sisters house I changed her thermostat because she didn't like the one she bought a couple of months ago. I carried 2 twin headboards, foot boards, and side rails up to my niece's rooms. Then put them together. (another gift to my sister from her mother in law). Then I managed to wrestle a 7 drawer dresser up the stairs by myself. I also had to change the flushing mechanism in the toilet in my niece's bathroom. Finally I managed to leave and head home but for some reason my niece's were in the truck with me. So there goes my nap before the greasy skillett starts.

You have officially reached saint hood, Made!! What a giving brother & uncle you are.

:))

This was one of the recipes that a member brought to the Elks last night. I loved it!

Pickled Salad
1 14 ½-oz. can French-style green beans
1 15 oz.-can early peas (LeSueur)
1 11-oz. can white shoepeg corn (Green Giant)
1 cup diced celery
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ yellow bell pepper, diced
3-4 green onions, chopped

Dressing
¾ cup white vinegar
1 cup sugar
½ cup garlic flavored olive oil
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
1 T. water

Mix dressing ingredients in a pan; bring to a boil for a few minutes. Drain all canned vegetables and then mix them together. Pour dressing over vegetables and refrigerate 24-48 hours.

I didn't realize the SPUGS were getting on in years!

Yes, indeed---kinda. They were only active from 1912 to about the late 19-teens, but I have a soft spot for them. When I "discovered" them, I was fascinated by their story. (I even found a Christmas novelette from the 19-teens that referred to them!) Maybe I should have a countdown to the 100th anniversary of their founding! cheesy

I just added to the reputation of every countdown poster of the last two pages....i remeber there is a thread about it...just didn´t find it....I was just in a scale-hittin mood

Thanks! I hit your scales in return! cheesy

I love thrift stores!!!
This called me as soon as I walked in the store..
picture.php

you can see why I just had to have it!

That's gorgeous---and it's going to be GORGEOUS loaded up with Christmas cookies!

Busy day. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Working tonight. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Happy Fall, y'all!

And good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, Jacob passed his driver's exam, so we have another new driver on the road. Heaven help us! The DDS office is about 30 miles from here, so we let him drive us home. Nancy was a backseat driver from heck, though. She had him more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. But, we made the trip back to Bellville, then everyone had their picture taken with him and his new (learner's) license.

I'm at Bernie's this morning, cooking sausage and drinking coffee.

I hope y'all have a great day!

Congratulations to Jacob!!

Any more sightings on the deer cam? :#

What was I thinking?!

famous last words! LOL...it will happen again, always does and we do it to ourselves. I have done similar stuff and asked myself the same question. Next opportunity, did it again! With me it was the bathroom, then the kitchen, then the bedroom and the ball just kept rolling. That house has long ago sold. But really, even with all the work and mess it is fun to see the transformation.
