Seeing that my dad has the Christmas spirit in October, I think I will bring him along to the Pines with me! He can play some Christmas tunes for us! :D

See you all there!

Good morning everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! It's the second of five 'Pines Days this month. Five 'Pines Days in one month!? It must be a special prelude to our magical Christmas Season! Speaking of magical, Carl seems to have the 'Pines shining bright with fall colours and Halloween decorations. He really knows how to catch the eye. I could spend all day here!

Aside from the 'Pines, today is a fairly special day. It's my dad's 58th birthday! It's hard for me to believe the fact that he is nearing 60. Not that 60 is old... He's still in great shape - he works out 3 times per week and plays hockey 5 times per week - and I am sure he will keep it up for quite some time. I'll have to give him a call to wish him a "Happy Birthday" sometime this evening.

In other news, I'm a little sore today. Practice ended up being canceled due to the fact that most of my team played at Northeastern Regionals this past weekend in Boston. We came fifth, by the way. Not bad. Overall, there were about 80 teams trying to qualify for Regionals. Only 16 qualified. From there, we came 5th out of 16 (or 80, however you want to look at it). We were missing quite a few players, but I'm proud of my teammates persevered on the field.

The gym yesterday seemed to take a bit out of me. I did all my exercises - sans jumping - without restriction. I'm tentative on the jumping part still. It will come later this week. Still, my entire body is pretty sore. I have to return to the gym today, but it will be a little easier than yesterday, I think.

I saw a "sign of Christmas" yesterday. The bar right beside my apartment had a sign that said "Book your Christmas parties with us..." I took a picture with my blackberry, but it did not turn out. I'll have to try it again on my way home from work. Anyway, it obviously made me excited. Speaking of signs, it was a little chillier this morning. The temperature was at 9c (48) but "felt like" 6c (43f). Thankfully, the wind was blocked by the buildings in my area, so I was able to make the trek to the bus in short sleeves, once again.

Well, I should get to work. We're less than five weeks away from entering the Christmas Season... and, of course, at a month from now, we'll all wake up to some excellent Specials Posts to heighten our excitement prior the the Season. Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Enjoy the 'Pines.

A very Happy Birthday to your dad, Brent!

Well I took my niece's home and now I'm going to head to the Pines. See Y'all there!!!!!
It's still pretty early in the day. Is Carl running an early afternoon Happy Hour, or something?

Well when my sister went to the er last night they discovered that she had actually ripped out 2 stitches. They just cleaned it up and taped it though since it had quit bleeding by the time she got called back. Now this morning she is bleeding from it again. So it looks like I get to keep my niece's until her doctor calls her back and tells her what he wants to do.

I hope she is okay!

It happened again! The cats outside caught another squirrel, older than the last one we found. He just laid there petrified so I was able to pick him up, put him in a cage to keep an eye on him to see if he was injured or just scared. About an hour later and after he took a nap he woke up alert and running all over the cage. I let him out and he ran straight up a tree. I am assuming no injuries! I hope he will be okay!

I am ready for Carl's blend of coffee!

Good to see again TamaraQT!

I think the squirrels are too fast for my cats to catch. Come to think of it, the cats only run when they are getting fed or if something is chasing them

I dont feel like it at times .. its 7pm and am ready to sleep

It is a little after 3 pm here and I am ready to sleep ~ seriously!

Good afternoon all.! IT's turned out to be a great day weather wise..cloudy and 62F still the same temp it was this morning at 6am! it's so good to finally have some fall weather!!!! In the past weeks things have been so busy I think I forgot to mention to you guys that I found out I am getting tranferred to Utah in June!! so that means snow snow and more snow!!! I have to do more research on the part we will be living at Ogden about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City!! Elevation 4000ft! so yes fall color 4 seasons...cold winters...ahhhhh!!!

Congrats on the job transfer!

Yum. What time is dinner? That sounds better than the ham and potato soup that I have going.

It was honestly the best chicken I've ever had in my life! I had found the recipe on Pinterest yesterday morning. If you want it, let me know.

Brent hope your Dad has an awesome day, that is probably why you are so active too, that is great, people think sometimes the trails we do are hard and stuff but I tell them nothing makes you feel so good as when you finish a hike, workout, or game - it makes you feel alive!!! Good for him and you, hope it is a great day

Good Pinesday morning everyone!

There is a hint of Christmas in the air at the Pines...oh wait. That's the Candy Cane hot chocolate that Carl just gave me! Guess he thought I needed it, what tipped him off? Maybe it was the Santa hat I was wearing? Heh..or should I say Ho-Ho-Ho? Ashley, William and I were at Costco yesterday. Found a LOT of Christmas goodies. Tonight I will post all the pictures I had taken in the Christmas Blossoms thread! William didn't want to leave the Christmas isle. Like Father, like Son eh?
Thanksgiving was good. Mom never came down. Disappointed about that but what can you do. Well better get back to work! Have a Christmasy Pinesday everyone!

Ahhh Udtk may I have a little I think I need a little pick me up ~ HAPPY PINES DAY

I copied the recipe yesterday, saved it to my computer (Carolina Cooking), and emailed it to my SIL. She and I both LOVE anything pumpkin! Thanks so much!

I should post the pumpkin squares recipe I have then... Oh that reminds me I need to post my Cream Cheese Snowballs

I seem to have the same problem myself this morning. Every time I have got up from my desk this morning to go get a hot cup of coffee, and bring it back to my desk, something comes up or someone else needs me and by the time I get back; cold coffee...

I need more hot coffee.....

Me too, I haven't had one cup of coffee or tea yet or should I say full cup!!!

Just popping in for a quick Hello!
We had a great day in the woods.
But it rained and rained, so we got a bit cold (especially I did)

Well, home we sat in front of the fireplace with chocolate
before we took a good long hot shower

Im of to a meeting regarding my stepsons next school year - in USA
Exiting! =]

I'll be back later tonight! =] LOVE ♥

How cool is that what State will he be going to!!! Is it for High School or College, bet you will miss him but that must be so exciting

Late last night, I was looking at the total posts for last year and saw where it stands at right now, and it this pace, I believe, that the record for last year will be shattered; big time! Hmmmm, I guess that truely is an example of the gift for gab; huh????

You know I remember how exciting it was last year, we were all trying to guess how many posts there would be, I wonder how many we will get to this year!!!

Oh sorry Made

I`ll leave the office in a couple of minutes. Wish you a great evening. Enjoy the Pines tonight!

At home I have to clean up my room (eat leftover pizza) and I already hear my bed and my exciting book calling.

I do like the sound of your evening enjoy

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to take an unexpected trip to Charleston, SC yesterday. My mom wanted to go to Myrtle Beach, SC for the week with some of the ladies from the church, but she had to stay for a physical therapy session on Monday. She can't drive with her arm in a sling, so she was going to ride up with another lady who was staying late, too. At the last minute, the other lady couldn't go, so I took the day off work and drove mom half way, and the ladies that were already at MB met us there and picked her up.

Three hours each way. My behind was sore when I got home LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

That was so nice of you!!! Sorry about your bum LOL!!!!!

Good Morning Christmas Pals,

Its a beautiful day here in New Jersey. The sun is shining bright, and it's supposed to go to 70 degrees today. But no matter how warm it gets, I can still feel the cool breeze underneath letting me know my favorite time of the year is quickly approaching. I haven't been able to catch up on the posts but I hope all are doing well. I have been so excited to see how the stores are slowly but surely converting to the Christmas season. Only 37 days until I put up my tree and outside lights. I am so excited !!!! Can you believe it, the season is almost here!!!!

The sun has come out over here too in NYC!!! A nice chill in the air ahhhh, this is such a WONDERFUL time of year!!!

It happened again! The cats outside caught another squirrel, older than the last one we found. He just laid there petrified so I was able to pick him up, put him in a cage to keep an eye on him to see if he was injured or just scared. I am ready for Carl's blend of coffee!

Good evening everyone!
Been a busy day here, took mom shopping then inspection this afternoon.
Also managed to get some more stuff made for the cake.

I found out today when the gingerbread house competition is and what the theme is this year. It is Nov 29, about 2 weeks after the cake one.
The theme is exciting.......
Christmas Carols!
I have to base it on which ever Christmas carol I like.
Which one to do think would make a great gingerbread house?

You and your family are in my prayers, merry! {{{HUGS}}}

thanks meceka! we are all doing good. Miss Maggie had a long-happy life & she's not sick any longer. in a much better place now.

Thanks, made!

hey brent! happy birthday to your dad!!! check this out....i couldn't help but snicker when you said how old your dad is because my hubby will be 58 in May of next year & i know i'm older than you (i'm 41) but i think we're closer in age. we don't think much about our age difference anymore but when i hear others say stuff like that i just have to chuckle because that's when i realize it again. lol
