Good evening, Christmas family

I took the day off today and did a lot of running around. We went to Hobby Lobby to get lights to redo our garlands for our big window and also I went to Jenny Craig for more food and also to my doctor's appointment. I was really surprised to see that our Hobby Lobby is OUT of the tree we bought !!! I am sure they will get more in.....xo

The doctor says I have psoriatic arthritis. All arthritis is painful and this is not nearly as bad as rheumatoid arthritis or the arthritis that Made's dear little niece has but it IS a very painful condition, I won't lie. There have been plenty of days when my husband had had to help stand up to get moving. I have to see a rheumatologist and my doctor also started me on Cele**rex. I can tell you that within an hour of taking that first dose my pain started to abate and even now 9 hours later it continues to work and I have NO PAIN. I will see the rheumatologist and discuss their recommendations and go from there.

I have been back on Jenny Craig now for about three weeks and I have lost about 7 pounds !!!! I only have 15 more to go !!

I hope everyone is okay and that you all have a very restful and Christmassy evening xo

O dear no wonder your are in a mood. no one wood blame you . 1500 photos ? and you get 500 . where did you get her. and you said about being free... maybe this is why cause she is no good.

I actually won her services at a wedding expo I went to back in January. I wasn't sure about it from the start but going with her saved us about $2K that we had budgeted for photography. She said she was just starting up a business and her photos from other weddings looked good, so we decided to go with her. We had even given her about 75 pictures from other people's weddings that we wanted to replicate, and those are the shots she never got. It's like she completely didn't listen to anything we wanted and instead took pictures that would look good for her portfolio. Ugh...I get so angry every time I talk about her...

The swiss national soccer team won the game against Island yesterday! Currently we are number 1 in our world soccer champion selection group. I hope we manage to stay as good as we are right now. I want them to play in the WM.

ouch, that stings! after all that special day of photos COULD HAVE been......someone as crappy as that!!!!! i'm so sorry this has happened! hopefully guests from the wedding will have even better pics & your album WILL get filled w/ beautiful photos of your special day!

Thanks. So far, we haven't had a lot of responses on pictures, but a few friends have sent cell phone pictures. Problem with those is when you blow them up into 4x6 size or above, it tends to get pixelated or distorted, so a lot of shots that look good on a phone don't transfer over well to printed pictures. A lot of people admitted they didn't take pictures (we literally only had a 5 minute ceremony, and then our reception was interrupted mid-best man speech by a fire drill, which then everyone was talking about rather than taking pictures), but we can't blame them. No one anticipated that our photographer would screw us over like this.

I am glad to hear you and your mother made up. I am sorry about the ordeal with your photographer, she just does not sound professional at all.

Hello everyone! It's been a couple days since I last posted, and boy has a lot happened...

We finally got ahold of our wedding photographer on Friday...and I honestly can't say more about her now without going into a cuss-filled rant, which is obviously inappropriate for this forum. Basically she lied to us on more than one occasion, we ended up having to shell out money for something that was supposed to be free, and the pictures we ended up with were, for lack of a better word, crap. We ended up getting almost 1500 total, but when nearly 1200 of them are useless, either because of lighting issues, blurriness, or she cropped them wrong...what we are left with, we can't even make a full wedding album out of. She took (not even lying) over 500 pictures JUST OF MY HAIR GETTING DONE! That would've been fine if she'd've taken that many pictures of everything else! A lot of pictures that we knew she'd taken, we didn't even get on our DVDs, and a lot of the ones that did turn out were of just me getting ready. Hubs and I are both really upset and we have asked all of our friends/family who were at the wedding for ANY pictures they may have of that day as we try to salvage together pictures for an album. Aside from all the lies she fed us, when I asked her about some of the pictures that were missing, she accused me of not being happy with her pictures or services (which she wasn't wrong about, but I hadn't even said anything at that point) and suggested that we "sever our relationship and that we should pay someone else to edit our pictures". I was blown away (read: VERY IRATE) after that and didn't even say anything back to her. If any of you would like the whole story I will be more than willing to tell you, but it's wayyyy too long to just post out here.

Ugh.

Other than that, I had a pretty great weekend. We spent time with hubs' best man and his son (one of our "nephews") on Saturday, and the little man was just so cute! While hubs and I are still on the thought of not having kids of our own, we are very much enjoying our friends' kids! =) Sunday, my parents came over (and yes, my mom and I have made up, thank goodness) and we had dinner and looked over the craziness that is our wedding pictures. Yesterday was spent cleaning up the house and applying for more jobs, and today I spent the majority of the day at my "twin"'s house with her, my "niece" and new "nephew" (born 3 weeks before my wedding day!). Such a nice couple of days after what was a disastrous Friday & Saturday.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far! Pines Day tomorrow - yay!!

I'm so sorry that all of this happened, v. What an incompetent unprofessional photographer. I hope that your friends & family get plenty of pictures to you & your husband, so you can finish your album. xo

Good Morning Christmas Gang!

I'm pretty tired today and so far a lot of crazy things happened at work. Can't wait until it is 5.30 p.m. and I can go home.

Dinner yesterday was good and the food was great. Unfortunately my stomach and intestine weren't in a good condition. Guess I have to make a lactose intolerance medical test someday. My sister has lactose intolerance for years and it is not the first time I wondered if I have a lighter version of this intolerance as well.

Good morning my Christmassy friends! It has been too long since I have checked in & I've missed you all! Good news is I have finished my SIL's afghan, started a new one, pulled off a surprise 60th birthday party for our neighbor, helped my sister cut nylon for scrubbies, put up what is possibly the last batch of tomatoes from the garden, AND I became a great Aunt again! AND we are week closer to Christmas! Wew! What a week it's been. Ha ha! Since starting my Christmas countdown clock on Oct. 1st, time is already going to fast!

Temps are going into the 70's here today too. Beautiful day!!

I'm sure I've missed a lot, so I'm heading back to read some posts!

I remember when my sister and I were little we used to play christmas during our summer holiday. We used to lower the blinds to make the room dark, set up a house (or was it a iglu, not sure anymore) and we listened to my mothers christmas cds. It wouldn't be real summer holidays without it!

'Pines Day! The middle of the week. We're inching closer to that wonderful date and I'm sure signs of Christmas are Blossoming before your very eyes! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little dazed today. I took a muscle relaxant last night. I should be taking the all the time to help with my knee - which still hasn't fully recovered - but they always make me feel slow and hazy until about 3 PM the next day. Still, I think it is something that I should deal with as it helps speed the process...

My mom is flying into Ottawa tomorrow. I'm excited to see her! I will have to come into work a few minutes early in order to meet her at my apartment. On Friday we're heading to see Bruce Springsteen at Scotiabank Place. It is going to be a fantastic show! We're both real excited to see the Boss. I don't know of any other plans, but she's only here until late Sunday afternoon, so we will have to cram in a little bit on Saturday.

Well, I should get to some lunch, but Carl has done such a wonderful job with the Fall decorations in the 'Pines. It is mesmerizing. I can only imagine what he has in store for the upcoming weeks.

My 3 year old granddaughter is just like me! She got a set of Olivia books and one of them is titled, "Olivia helps with Christmas". Her mom sat down to read some of the books to her and my granddaughter picked up the Christmas one and said, "Grandma will read this one to me, I have to take it to her house"! Guess what? The book is here at my house to stay!!!

My granddaughter talks about Christmas and Santa ALL YEAR LONG! What a smart little girl!

We took our grandchildren to the State Fair of Texas last night. My 3 year old granddaughter was fearless and wanted to ride EVERYTHING, even the rides she was not tall enough for. We went to one ride (as pictured below) that looks very scary. She wanted to ride it really bad but as soon as a scary clown stepped out on the balcony (where the eyes of the skull is) she said, "I don't want to be with him"! She decided not to ride it because of the clown! I can't say I blame her but funny that the ride itself didn't look scary to her, just the clown!!!

It was crowded last night but we had a blast! I laughed so much with the kids when we rode rides together. Fun times!!!
