Christmas Countdown - 2012

I haven't read all the way to the end of the posts today, but I wanted to ask if things went better. I sure hope so!

Good Friday morning!

It's been a rough couple days for me, so here's hoping for a turnaround this weekend.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that part, we really liked the shape and fullness of the tree, but it is a pre-lit tree with white lights and well, we don't care so much for the white lights, we perfer the multi-colored mini lights and also alot more of them as well than what the tree is pre wired for.

I realize that it seems a little bit of a waste, but I have a plan, I will remove all the white bulbs and just save them to use as spares for other decorations that I have...and I also figured that we will keep this tree for hopefully another 15-20 years (since we no longer have any small children pulling on it anymore, lol), so we should at least get our monies worth out of it. Well, at least that's the plan right now....

And that brick in my stomach, I still felt it this morning after a troublesome night of sleeping... all morning, I kept thinking about the old TV commercial, "I can't believe I ate the whole thing....":lol:

I don't blame you! We considered doing that one year. We loved the shape/size/branches on one tree, but it had pre-lit white lights. We were going to take them off, but then we found another tree we loved. My family goes all out when it comes to putting lights on the tree. I don't think any pre-lit trees have nearly enough. We saw a 9 foot tree with 1250 lights on and laughed about it. We have a small ceiling so I can't remember if our tree is 6 and a half or 7 feet. Regardless, we put around 1500 lights on. We also love colored lights :] Now you got me all excited to put my tree up!

Sadly, I am similar in the stomach department. I have a really bad stomach, so most of the time my food just lays there after I eat. Sometimes the night is the worst because it's really hard to fall asleep and not to be restless. That's why I try to eat lighter or take something to help before I eat.

After reading Merry Mistletoe's reply to your post, I went into the kitchen and made myself a cup of hot chocolate in our Kureig. I totally love that machine!

I am sitting here enjoying a cup of hot chocolate made the keurig machine! I gotta get one of those, would be nice if they just let me keep this one.

Work sucked last night, I got stuck with the young woman who has no idea what it means to actually work. So instead of being done at 11 it was midnight before I was finished. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Then she leaves an hour early because.....ready for this! because she ran for 12min earlier in the day and was tired. She left me with all the work to do as well as a line of customers!!!!!

Ok, better now, going back to my hot chocolate.

What are your weekend plans??

I'm hosting scary movie night @ my house w/ my friend Patty, it's a tradition we do every year around Halloween. Adrian & her husband, Mike, are going out for guy's night. On Sunday, my friend Jen & I are going shopping for Christmas things and having lunch. It should be a really nice weekend.

I e-mailed my course instructor, and didn't really get the response I was hoping for. Don't get me wrong, she's a very nice, intelligent lady, but I don't think she gets that some people haven't taken math classes for almost 20 years! It's frustrating because she pretty much responded with things I already told her weren't helping, and didn't go into enough detail for me to grasp them. Just pointed out the page (yes, ONE page) in the course book that addresses them. Ahhh!

Next step, I'll bring my course book on Sunday & see if my friend Jen can help. She used to work in a mortgage office, so maybe, just maybe, she can help me figure out some formulas. Fingers crossed.

We heard from one of the property managers I've been talking to @ a potential home to rent in Eau Claire. I will look at it next month. And I also talked to a property manager of some new townhomes being built there, and I will also tour them. I prefer an actual house for yard space, but if I can't find a fenced in yard for Harlowe, then these townhouses may be the way to go. They are beautiful! And in a really nice, safe area. And they have great walking trails. At least we have some leads...

just ate my homemade spaghetti bolognese...now chilling...watching columbo at the moment...and I guess we will be watchin some movie now....been walking in park, so kandicce was jumpin around on a playground...playin with her new friends....we met the kids and their momma when we went to Disneyland Paris...there we found out, they just live 10mins away from us...we visited them yesterday...and today I went to a local park with kandice and my mom....and we met the kids with their momma there...t´was very nice and entertaining!!!!....kandice was beaming

I love Columbo !!! Peter Falk is one of my all time favorites !! Have you seen the Christmas movies he is in ?? He plays an angel named Max...

We went to Toys R Us to shop for a baby shower gift for our friend. We also had the boys go around and give us ideas for Christmas, now we know what we are getting them. We went to BK for lunch and stayed there for a while so the boys could play on the playground, while we were there, another woman was there with her sons and mother. We were talking and she comes over to me and asked me if my name was Ronnie, I said yes. She then said she was our next door neighbor when I was age 1-8, she was/is a year older than me and I was over her house almost everyday to play as kids. We had a love/hate relationship as kids, but once again someone from distant past has shown up out of the blue. Her mother watched my sister and I all the time, we had dinners, birthday parties, etc... together. How strange is that twice in one week I see someone I haven't seen in nearly 30 years?

Good evening, Christmas family

I watched one of my favorite Halloween movies last night, Hocus Pocus ! It isn't scary but I just think it is really cute !! I have been watching for the classics to show up, the origina Dracula, the orginal Night of the Living Dead, etc. but I don't seem them in the upcoming schedule !! I know that Charlie Brown is going to be on Halloween evening !!!

I forgot to tell you guys......I lost another 3 pounds so that is 10.3 altogether. I only have 12 left and I will be at goal again. These last 12 might be harder but I plan to stick with it !! I will probably be back later to say goodnight !! xo

Thinking and praying for you right this minute!

Hey everyone! I am totally out of the loop as usual here. I have had a horrrid week...I mean one of the toughest I have had in a long while...I may not be around much anymore but I wish I had the time to hang around here more,All my friends here just keep me in your prayers cause I am having a tough time here!!! I hope Everyone is having a good weekend though,our leaves are now just beginning to turn so I am looking forward to that the next 2 to 3 weeks!!! Take care all!

FIL passed away this afternoon; we got the news just a few minutes ago. Mr. is on his way down there now before the mortician arrives. Mr. and his family all had some quality time with him toward the end, playing his favorite music on the iPad and holding his hand. Yesterday he could barely speak, but he managed to say, "Tough old man." He certainly was. God rest his soul. Thank you all for your prayers during his long final illness.

That's a great idea---a mix of colored lights and white lights is gorgeous. We bought a pre-lit tree that was white lights, and we spent an entire evening replacing some of the white bulbs with colored bulbs. The effect was worth it.

I love Columbo !!! Peter Falk is one of my all time favorites !! Have you seen the Christmas movies he is in ?? He plays an angel named Max...

Don't forget he's in "Pocketful of Miracles," too, and he's a riot in that.

oh Merry, so sorry to hear this. It was great that the family got to spend time with him before he left.

I am so sorry for your family's loss, Merry. I will be praying for your family through this difficult time. I am so glad that they were able to have the quality time with him, that makes a huge difference to all of them and made him feel more comfortable. At least now he is out of pain, that is the most important thing. Prayers will be coming your way for the next few days.
