My neighbor sent me an email telling me she likes my Halloween decorations then followed up with asking me when my outdoor Christmas Decorations go up. I wrote back and told her probably mid November. She wrote back and said she heard that by law it's mandatory they go up November 1st.

I think she is right! Do you all agree??? :D

Sounds right to me! cheesy

Good afternoon,

Another split shift for me today, I am home until 7:30 tonight, then back to work for a few more hours. I am so sick of hearing all of this election stuff lately, especially our states senate race. We are getting flyers in the mail daily saying vote for me, vote for me! The phone calls from the actual Senator's office, his opponent, PAC groups, and other special interest groups are constant, I can't wait for this to be over. Just relaxing before heading back.

Have a great day.

Me to . and yes i saw that film was on tv about a week ago. was iit called a town with out christmas.??

Yes, that is one ! There is also Finding John Christmas and When Angels Come To Town.....Mr. Falk was wonderful in all of them ! xo

today...Kandice has her first sick day off school....she has not been feeling well the whole of last week...I will rather keep her home from school for two days now...instead putting her to school and she will be sick for an entire week after that.........the good thing for Kandice.......her teacher is sick too (not so nice for the teacher)....so there will be an substitute teacher...and Kandice won´t miss too much in school

I hope Kandice feels better, Track xo

Good Morning Friends, at the start of yet another week.
A week that will see us pass the 3 week mark to Christmas Season 2012!
Excited?
No?
Well, just look at the count:
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64 (Nine weeks from tomorrow!)

Still not excited??
(Well then you are at the wrong site!)

It was a bit cooler yesterday for the final day of our annual State Fair.
No rain, though, and it was nicely sunny.
Should be warmer today -- perhaps the mid-70's. Quite nice for late October!
I read a chilly 44 degrees here, currently.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!
Keep that Christmas light shining and may the power of the Season be with you.

Crown I don't know how you do it !! You make the countdown so exciting and interesting day in and day out !! True Genius !! xo

I hope you all have a great beginning of the week. I submited my second university assessment earlier today. I'm really glad it's done. It was very confusing and frustrating and even native English speakers couldn't understand most parts of the task. ^^ I tried my best so I don't expect for the worst results. Heh, I'm just trying to be optimistic.

Here we are, another Monday means another week closer to Xmas EVE!!
9 Weeks to go!! Can't believe it. I am in the middle of my weekly 30 min. of Xmas week on the anniversary of the countdown to the Holiday Season.

It was another busy weekend and it will be an even busier one with my sister's Halloween Wedding coming up on Sat.
I will get to see cousins that I have not seen in years. Should be in for a great time.

By this time next week, Nov will be knocking at the door!!
Xmas Season is almost here.

Have a good week all!

Cheers!!

ML

I hope your sister has a beautiful wedding xo We will be listening to Christmas Carols very, very soon !!!!! :???:

Off to the airport in an hour, my daughter is having her first lesson in the plane. She is so nervous, this is something she has wanted to do since she was 15 years old.

I have roses and calla lilies to make for a cake this coming weekend. 25th anniversary, 3 tier cake. Will post a picture when it is done.

Now to finish in the kitchen so when I get back I can get busy with all my cake stuff.

Your cake sounds gorgeous as always !! Who do you think is going to win Halloween Wars ?? xo

Good morning, MMC!

My stomach was bothering me yesterday and last night and now it's bothering me today. This is not good!!! I go away in a couple of days so I cannot afford to be sick or having any kind of stomach problems.

Plenty to do this morning and afternoon - but I do hope to be on tonight. I am in desperate need of catching up!

Been thinking of & praying for you all!

I have "GI" problems too, Jennifer !! And it ALWAYS strikes when I least expect it and it always (excuse me) sucks !! xo Hope you feel better xo

One time I was videoing one of the dance productions when the camera battery died. I have to say; it was nice just to be able to watch and enjoy Elizabeth dancing without making sure I hit the right zoom button, etc.

I think that's happened to me before! LOL!

I bet Elizabeth is going to be very good in The Nutcracker. That is one of my favorite Christmas productions. !!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was another uneventful Sunday afternoon. We went to mom's for lunch, then my brother called wanting help with a busted water line. We got that fixed, then I had to hurry home for supper. Bernie grilled hamburgers (a turkey burger for me), and Mrs. Hilda had fresh mustard greens. Oh my, how I love mustard greens! She seasons it with bacon, so I couldn't have much, but WOW was it good!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Did you like the turkey burger ?? I bet it tastes funny to you. I am so used to it that they taste like meat to me now !! xo

Monday hello ... :-) Not a very good day. On top of the death in the family, our shiny new cable Internet that was installed Saturday has broken down twice already, and has scrambled one of the channels in our TV package. In the middle of Mr.'s family trying to stay in touch as arrangements are made. A cable guy is supposed to come out tomorrow to see if it's our signal or the brand-new cable modem they installed Saturday. They'd better fix it---I spent Saturday evening and most of yesterday moving our websites, updating our email address on our online accounts, and sending out emails about out new email address.

Petty complaints, I know. But all rolled together, they have me frazzled. I hope things settle down soon.

Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. FIL's last words were: "Tough old man." We think he slipped away while sleep. Mr.'s brother went to give him his medication, and he was gone.

Understand COMPLETELY !! This is a very stressful time and the last thing you guys need is for the cable to mess up...Hoping it gets fixed soon !! xoxo

We woke up to rain here in northern California. It had cooled off considerably yesterday, so the weekend ended pleasantly. I can't remember if I told you that we had wonderful food this weekend: barbecued chicken with not too much bbq sauce, baked beans, cole slaw, (Hubby had the bbq ribs.) on Friday night; prime rib with all the trimmings on Saturday night; brunch on Sunday with macaroni salad, tortellini salad, Ceasar salad, spinach salad with raspberry dressing and candied walnuts, four different jello salads, fresh fruit chunks, eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, two different egg casseroles, prime rib, fresh crab, biscuits and gravy, omelets fixed any way you chose, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and four kinds of dessert. Can you believe the brunch was only $13? The weekend was in honor of the visit of the state president of the Elks. The photographer is a friend of ours so he asked us to be in a few shots with the "big shots"! Hubby is pretty high up, too, but it is always nice to meet new people and to be acknowledged for the work you do. I met quite a few new people at the dinner on Friday night. One couple was from Springfield, VA. After they were introduced, I went over to their table to tell them that I used to live in Fredricksburg and Quantico. Lo and behold, she was just a few more months out than I from breast cancer treatment! Her hair was so cute, short but curly. We talked for a long time. Then a gentleman came up and wanted to talk to me because his wife has cancer, and he wanted to know some of the things to expect. Then another lady came up to discuss her treatments. It is amazing at how cancer affects so many lives. I did have a scare yesterday and will get it checked out today: I found a lump of some kind on my left, bottom rib. I happened to rub in that area and discovered it. I am "hoping" it is scar tissue since in it near the incision site of the mastectomy. Wish me luck! TTYL

Oh Seawaters......I am doubling up on my prayers for you to our Lord as well as to Padre Pio xoxo ((HUGS)) xo

I saw the one with the firefighter ~ excellent movie!

Yes, Finding John Christmas.....It is really sad in places and kind of funny in others. Of the three "Max" movies Mr. Falk did, that one requires me to have a big box of tissues while I watch it but I love it anyway........xo

Congratulations on the weight loss! I haven't watched a Halloween movie or special, but I am rereading Dracula ~ good book!

OOHHH ! I have never read the book !! Does the movie (Bela Lugosi) follow the book do you think ?? xo

it's always nice to have someone you can count on to help when things happen. how are your kids today?

wow all that food sounds yummy & i'm sitting here hungry now!!lol i hope you get good news about that lump. praying.

i think it was around 46 this morning. we left our windows up. i like it but my kids say we freeze them. i told y'all i'm very hot natured!

well see, this pharmacist is testing people himself & then it's an over-the-counter med he gives so that's why the insurance co. won't cover it. maybe later there will be something like this covered but for now no such luck!

hey there meceka!!!! i hope you have a nice afternoon!

i've been on Pinterest for about 2 1/2 hours. so many Christmas things. i pinned them all i think, lol. i even made a list of things i need to find for some of it. hubby was suppose to be in Buffalo an hour ago but i've not heard from him yet. i hope everythings ok......

Now you are not going to believe this....I LOVE pinterest but I must be dumb as a box of rocks because I cant figure out how to use it .......:-? Duh........
