Now you are not going to believe this....I LOVE pinterest but I must be dumb as a box of rocks because I cant figure out how to use it .......:-? Duh........

CM3, you are smart!!! You are definitely not as dumb as a box of rocks. Everyone that I know uses Pinterest and I just can't figure out how to get the hang of it. It confuses me LOL.

His cheerful smile throughout this whole video is contagious! It IS The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

I remember Andy when he looked likes on his Christmas shows !! He was so handsome and such a good singer and I loved seeing his wife and children. I think at first his parents and his brothers were on the specials in addition to the Osmonds. Classic. xo

I am so sick of hearing all of this election stuff lately, especially our states senate race. We are getting flyers in the mail daily saying vote for me, vote for me! The phone calls from the actual Senator's office, his opponent, PAC groups, and other special interest groups are constant, I can't wait for this to be over.

I'm with you on that. They're knocking on doors in our neighborhood. I must confess: Saturday when one of them knocked, the neighbor's cat came trotting up the walk (he comes to visit fairly often). I said, "Uh-oh, here comes the neighbor's cat, can't let him in my house!" which was a tactful way of closing the door. (In case you're wondering, then I went to the back door, and the cat came around back to visit me. I gave him some kitty treats for his excellent timing!)

Good evening everyone!

I hope you all have a great beginning of the week. I submited my second university assessment earlier today. I'm really glad it's done. It was very confusing and frustrating and even native English speakers couldn't understand most parts of the task. ^^ I tried my best so I don't expect for the worst results. Heh, I'm just trying to be optimistic.

I hope that comes out well for you. As a proofreader and copy editor, I can tell you that native English speakers aren't always the ones who best know or understand their own language!

Thanks for positive thoughts everyone. While it's rainy and dreary here in Ohio today things might be turning around. Getting ready for a fancy steak dinner out with just my wife, my brother in law, and his girlfriend. Maybe a movie afterward. So nice to have parents nearby who are willing to watch their grandkids. Happy weekend everyone!

I just love going out to dinner, hope you enjoyed I am not 100% caught up but it sounded like a lovely evening planned!

Here are the 'coons!

Good afternoon everyone!

I didn't visit yesterday. Sorry for that. I don't even have time right now to read the posts on the forums either. Sorry for this as well. My mom arrived late Thursday afternoon and we have been very busy since. Yesterday, we spent the entire day attempting to get into the pit at the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert. Oh, my goodness. What a show! In order to get into the pit, we needed to be at least 500 numbers away from the randomly drawn number at 4:45 pm. We arrived at 1:30. Our numbers were 194-6 (Kim, myself and my mom - in that order). The number 461 was drawn. There were only 704 bracelets given out, which meant that we were within the final 60 to get into the pit! Incredible! We were about six rows back in the centre from The Boss!

I'll attach a few photos here for your viewing pleasures. I'm sure there must be a few people on here that are fans of the legend as well. I must say... He put on the greatest show I have ever witness. Even at 63 - not that its old - he could still move like someone in their prime. The energy he exuded and filled the arena with was unsurmountable. Ottawa is known as a fairly relaxed crowd, but for the first time I have ever seen, Bruce had everyone out of their seats and dancing. The three of us had the time of our lives.

Highlights included the three of us helping Bruce crowd surf from the catwalk back to the stage during Hungry Heart! My mom was freaking out because she finally touched the "man of her dreams," I was excited that I carried him for a few seconds... and then Kim was thrilled that she "touched/grabbed Bruce's butt!" It was a great experience. I loved it.

Hey everyone! I am totally out of the loop as usual here. I have had a horrrid week...I mean one of the toughest I have had in a long while...I may not be around much anymore but I wish I had the time to hang around here more,All my friends here just keep me in your prayers cause I am having a tough time here!!! I hope Everyone is having a good weekend though, our leaves are now just beginning to turn so I am looking forward to that the next 2 to 3 weeks!!! Take care all!

Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers

Just a quick Saturday hello ... It's been a busy day. The cable guy got here an hour after the scheduled window, but he called to let us know he'd be late, so I give 'em some points for that. We're up and running now. We didn't have to move boxes and furniture after all, 'cause he couldn't run a cable into this room---he would've had to go through the basement ceiling. So he set up the cable modem in the room across the hall and the computer runs on Wi-Fi. I'd prefer a hard connection, but it seems to be working fine. I've been sweating over getting the new email addresses up and running, and tomorrow I'll be digitally running around updating email addresses on various accounts. And we'll be losing the personal web space we had with the old provider, so I have to move the two little organization-info websites we run. Oh, joy! But, as Mr. says, people do this every day.

I'm too frazzled at the moment to shout out to individuals, but you can be sure I'm thinking of all of you, and hoping for things to improve for those of you who are having a rough time.

MC I still have a lot of catching up to do but if you need any help of need something email me maybe I can help some - back in Feb I went thru something like this

You're welcome. It was very epic! I'm still riding on a high. If anyone is interested, the link to all 116 photos from my camera is here

AWESOME, just AWESOME Brent thx for sharing

Good afternoon,

Another split shift for me today, I am home until 7:30 tonight, then back to work for a few more hours. Just relaxing before heading back.

Have a great day.

We are the same over here when it is election time wood do your head in. when is your election ??

Yes, that is one ! There is also Finding John Christmas and When Angels Come To Town.....Mr. Falk was wonderful in all of them ! xo

Never seen either of them

Have you made up your mind yet?!?!? We have a Halloween Party this Saturday; I am going as a Light Bulb!!!! LOL we are going to have a blast... Hubby is going as a robot I can't wait we have so much fun

Not really the way i feel at the moment i dont want to go and so tied
Its seems that halloween partys seem to be this weekend there is a few in the bars arouns here
A light bulb wood like to see that photo !!

Yes, Finding John Christmas.....It is really sad in places and kind of funny in others. Of the three "Max" movies Mr. Falk did, that one requires me to have a big box of tissues while I watch it but I love it anyway........xo

Me, too!

OOHHH ! I have never read the book !! Does the movie (Bela Lugosi) follow the book do you think ?? xo

I think the atmosphere is better in Lugosi's version, but the one with Gary Oldman seems to have captured the book the best.

Excellent, Merry!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope everyone is having a good day!

There is a storm overhead, so I have to get offline ~ one of the things I hate most about having dial-up. Take care everyone and talk to you tomorrow!

MERRY dreams!!!!

:???:

i noticed others posts about it but yeah, we've had pre lit trees for some time now & they usually only have 700-800 lights on them. we like colored lights too. i've never taken lights off but i always add to them. the white are already on it & we add 9 or 10 strands of colored lights. the white 1's seem to glisten like diamonds w/ the ruby, emerald, & sapphire 1's.

Thats an interesting thought.... I didn't even consider that. I wish I could see somehing like that before I go thru the effort to put all of the colored lights over top the white lights and then after the fact, we decide that we don't like that. Well, as they say,.... "nothing ventured, nothing gained!"

Thanks....

WAY TO GO CM3!!that's great. i love the movie Hocus Pocus too. was it on tv? if so, bummer, i missed it!
Oh check out one of my previous posts from the other day. I posted a Halloween schedule and you can see in there, that Hocus Pocus will be on several more times...

That's a great idea---a mix of colored lights and white lights is gorgeous. We bought a pre-lit tree that was white lights, and we spent an entire evening replacing some of the white bulbs with colored bulbs. The effect was worth it.

Hmmmm, You have given me a thought/ idea, to ponder on, that I have not considered on.....Thank you!
