Hi everyone! I have not been on here in a week!!! I have been very busy but we have been having fun! It's that time of year when we have lots of family things going on and will be busy from now until after Christmas.

Friday we went to the kids Halloween School Carnival, Saturday we went to Six Flags with my mom, daughter, grandkids and Wayne. My 6 year old grandson is brave this year and riding the coasters (he wouldn't in the past) but only wants to sit next to Grandpa Wayne, I guess he feels safe with him. My 3 year old granddaughter wants to ride EVERYTHING but she is not tall enough for the big coasters. My 8 year old grandson is riding all the big coasters and loves them. Sunday was church and work.

I miss you all and praying for those on the east coast. I am not sure if I can catch up on all the post from the week and hope I haven't missed any big news. Praying for all those who are ill or on hard times.

Stay Merry my friends!!! :???:

Welcome back!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold windy day here in Central Indy. Right now we have sustained winds around 15 mph but that is supposed to increase to over 30 this evening and tomorrow with gusts to over 60. It's kind of crazy to think this is all from a hurricane that is still a couple of hunderd miles off the east coast. Stay Safe everyone and try to have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are looking at sustained winds of 30 with gusts up to 45. Brrrrrrr!!!! Stay warm!

Time to leave for work. Not feeling well, so I may be coming back home after I get a sub. Take care all of you in the path of the storm.

I hope you are better soon, Seawaters! {{{HUGS}}}

Good Monday morning everyone. We are praying for all of you in Sandy's path.

We are seeing some effects of the storm. Our weather is a little cool. It was breezy and 37 when I left for work. We are expecting winds in the upper 20's/low 30s and about 4 inches of snow. October snow is rare for us. We have a lot of trees and will probably lose power. We have a well so we have no water when we lose power. I filled one bathtub up with water to refill the the toilet and be able to flush. Our fireplace is our backup heat so we have firewood ready. Hopefully we are ready.

Stay safe everyone.

We have a well, too. I haven't filled the tub up yet, but I should. Thank you for the reminder! Stay safe!

It's COLD! I am home from the Dr's office and feeling quite woozy so nothing I say should be held against me.! Everything went fine he said and I feel good...I just got home and am looking at my webcams at beech mtn..nc and I see snow!!! the ones I have in Wv and maryland are all offline..they are under a blizzard warning. it's 50F here with wind..blowing away alot of our leaves that have yet to change colors...but I am just glad it's cold now!!! have a great monday everyone.and stay safe!!!!

I hope you have a quick recovery, Dawg!

Still here ... the wind is to be at its peak between now and about 8 p.m., they say. The lights flickered a few times, but we're still up so far. The trains all stop running at 2 p.m., so I hope Mr. is on his way home soon. He was going to leave at 12:45. Account managers at his office were trying to get him to stay until 1:30---idiots!

The way the wind is going, we'll almost certainly lose power this afternoon. 20,000 are without power already, they just said. Maybe I should get a hot lunch while I can!

All of you, stay as safe as you can. It's going to be truly frightening south of us when the hurricane part of the storm makes landfall tonight. I'm worried about Maryland.

Still here, too. Our trains stopped last night and 2 towns over, no driving is allowed. My hubby needs to hurry it on up!!! I'm following a few places on FB from the shore town ew go to and it's devastating, 6-7 hours from landfall. Waist high water!Light rain here and some strong gusts

Can someone direct me to the post(s) about the Halloween cakes competition? It is taking me forever to search through the posts.

About 3 and a half hours until Sandy makes landfall, Stay safe everyone!!!!

The wind is whipping right now! If you look up "Cape May County Moms" on Facebook, you can get a good idea of the damage the shore is getting right now. Boardwalks just washed away! :(

Here you go Seawaters!!

Yes! Dead men walking won! They did an amazing job on their pumpkin carvings. The other team was amazing to and lost by such small margin .

Their piece was crazy good and I'm glad they won. The other guy did a fanatastic job of carving the figures out of pumpkin though. Those faces were amazing.
