Apparently my Christmas tree post really, really bothered her.. Because she just posted another one about Christmas.. and how everyone that is involved in the army etc.. Finds it disrespectful to decorate prior to Remembrance day... I really didn't mean to make her so upset.... sheesh:-o

Wow, she polled everyone in the armed forces that quick????? Not to mention all the veterans everywhere? Wow! I think whenever someone starts speaking for people she doesn't know at all, that person has lost all creditability. Especially when talking about something that's a private matter, after all. (Timing of the decorating, not military service, of course!)

Apparently she did.. But she seem to have missed both my great grandparents, cousins husband, and DBs Cousins husband as well:/ hmph. I think its time for me to stay off fb for a while. Too much Politics, without actual politicians (if you catch my drift)

hahahahah Oh, I want to see that pic! I wish I would gone as Det. Clementine Johnson!! That woulda been priceless!
He was a little apprehensive at first, But i kept bugging him to buy the dang costume, so he did. He rocked it!! He said the only thing that made him a little uncomfortable was the women & MEN that kept smacking his butt at the dance.. I thought it was quite hilarious hahaha.

The Real RCMP Showed up to make sure everything was running smoothly & Saw DB.. They all stood there, & laughed.

That's funny!! Hubs was a little apprehensive at first, but once we got to the party, he was just fine. And he looked SO MUCH like Dangle that it kinda made people do a bit of a double take. And now that you mention it, I think people slapped his butt too! lol BTW, were you able to see our picture? I would post it here, but I have NO IDEA how to post a picture in a post (I'm sure it's very easy but I haven't yet figured it out!).

Okay, I have a bit of a rant this morning!!

So Out of pure excitement today, I posted on Fb Happy November 1st, Trees are going up today.
a couple moments later, i see another post about how People shouldn't be putting up decorations for Christmas till after November 11, Remembrance day, out of respect.

I commented & let her know that As I am very excited for The following season, That I Do respect Anything, everyone & Everything to do with Nov.11, And that only my inside decorations were going up. Well in response, I got to each their own, I don't even think about Christmas till that day is done.

This ticks me off!! I do respect Nov. 11, the veterans & all the men & women still fighting for our freedom. I wear my poppy Proud, & I always have my moment of silence.. And when I can, I go to Ceremonies to honour those fallen & still fighting. I don't mean any disrespect to those who fought for us to be free & Still do!!
I don't or didn't mean to offend anyone, but I guess I did. It just sucks, because to me, Putting up my tree doesn't me I am being disrespectful... I'm just excited.

Sometimes facebook feels like a lifestyle debate. :x

That's crazy! I'm sorry she's taking the excitement of November 1st away for you...but that's just how some people are. =( I know I'm the only person I know of IRL that wants to celebrate Christmas as early as I do! I really want to turn on the Christmas music NOW but hubs always says to wait after Thanksgiving, because "every holiday should be allowed to have it's own time" (he feels that way about decorating too). In fact, that's what all of my friends and family think too. My friend today even complained that Kohl's had already started playing Christmas music and that it was just "too dang early"! I just held my tongue. It really is though, the first time I've ever heard someone use the excuse of Veterans Day...Thanksgiving yes, but never Veterans Day! A shame, really.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I just had my last meal at my mother-in-law's restaurant, The Anderson House, here in Bellville. She's been in business for 25 years, but now that she's in her mid-70's she needs to retire. Still, it was a sad goodbye. Nancy and I started dating 19 years ago, and I had lunch with her there everyday, and I've eaten lunch there for the last 19 years everyday since.

The place was packed! Nancy got the kids out of school early so they could eat there one last time, too. There wasn't a lot left when I got there, but I can't really eat fried foods, anyway. I had some good turnips, though!

End of an era. Whew.

Bad choice of words actually. To my understanding, Spotify has to work within each country's copyright laws. Getting the right to legally operate involves a lot of negotiation. The U.S. has only been added in the last year.

Hey RJD, maybe you can help me out...I used to listen to Spotify all the time, but I had to stop because I couldn't figure out how to keep my music going. It would always stop after one song and would never EVER go straight to the next one. I checked settings over and over again and never found the problem. Do you think, with your extensive Spotify knowledge, that you could help me? If so, I'll definitely go back to Spotify and of course look you up! =)

You may simply need to update to the latest version of Spotify, vsuclaribnl. There is a blue bar across the top of the page that reads "Like to install the latest version of Spotify? Just restart to install..." Click the bar.

I've never had the same problem exactly but I have had the same song to play over and over until I close Spotify and open it again.

Spotify is a music discovery/sharing site. One can create and share playlists, etc. The best part, it's all music. Folks can connect but no talking, no politics (unless you can get creative with tunes), no spam, no nothing! Did I say that Spotify is all music?!

Check out/Subscribe to 'RJD's 50 Yule Tunes'. (It changes from time to time.). I also have a stockpile of Christmas tunes in a playlist called 'Mistle Tinsel' where I stash tunes to possibly buy and spin on 'Mistletoe Mix'.

Bummer is, I don't think Canada has been added as an interested country.

ok, question for anyone who knows about winter tires
which do you think are better
goodyear nordic or michelin x-ice tires?
the first are on sale for $79.99 each and the next they are offering 12 equal payments no interest (not sure of price but says they start at $608 for a set of 4 .
This is the first time I ever had to buy these things on my own and want to make the best choice.

Remember that is her opinion, I'm sure it is nothing against you. My father's girlfriend gets upset about how I love Christmas. She says November is all about the turkey and people should give all the respect to Thanksgiving and not focus on Christmas until after that. She is one of those "Debby Downer" type persons to begin with. Different strokes for different folks. You celebrate how you feel you should.

I know a number of folks who are involved in the army and none of them would be bothered by it, Brian actually starts decorating after halloween, says it gets to cold to wait longer!
