Here is one for you sports fans (especially college football).

I was in the office at work the other day and answered the phone. I am expecting it to be someone from Domtar paper, since they are our biggest customer, and instead I get a sports reporter from the New York Times. He explained he was trying to get in touch with Robin Weber for an interview for a catch he made in the 1973 Sugar Bowl. I am sure he has the wrong number, but he tells me the number he called, and it was correct. So I ask the warehouse supervisor, and he says that Robin Weber does work there, but he is not there at that time. So I get the man's name and phone number, and my supervisor said he will give Robin the information.

Now I never heard of Robin Weber, and know nothing about his catch he made, so I look it up when I get home. The 1973 Sugar Bowl was Notre Dame vs. Alabama (Robin was a tight end for Notre Dame), it was nearing the end of the game, and Robin made a catch that gave Notre Dame a first down, and basically sealed the win for Notre Dame. You can see it on You Tube, it doesn't look like much, but to these teams and their fans, it is a big deal. Below is a link to the video, Robin is #91 and is on the lower end of the line, if you watch him he gets a free release and no one covers him.

Good Christmas morning to all!

Couldn't make it to the pines. What?! First time ever missing the Pines. Ash (my Wife) is sick. Had to take her to the doctors. She has strep throat. Weeee. Oh well. She has meds now so thats good! Busy busy busy season. This weekend I am going to a buffet with friends. Our work Christmas party is too expensive, thats right, they have us pay. So we are doing a little gathering on our own. I cant believe its December already! Like I said. Once October hits, Christmas flys by. Well back to breakfast I go! Have a merry day everyone!

That's very neat, SIT! Interestingly enough, Tom Clements, the Notre Dame quarterback in this game, is the current offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers!

Good evening,

Long productive night at work, but it wasn't a good night. Someone who I thought was a friend threw me under the bus to get what she wants, I do everything by the book and keep to myself but she finds a way to bring me into her problem. I am sure management will want to talk to me now and there is a slim chance I may lose my vacation, even though it has been approved for months, due to her issues. Whenever she doesn't get what she wants, everyone else suffers and management just strokes her ego. Sorry for ranting but I am so ticked off about this.

I should probably get to sleep, I have to head back to the funhouse for 7am.

Good night all.
wow, Kristy works there too?

May Jolly Old Saint Nicholas fill your children's shoes with nice things.
:???:
Good evening, Christmas family

Just relaxing now and watching The Polar Express !!

I want to thank everyone for all your encouragement about starting the methotrex*te. I know you all want the best for me and after a lot of consideration and reading, I am considering not starting this med. It is a DANGEROUS drug. It is notorious for causing liver problems, mouth sores, nausea, tumors and hair loss. Now, I want to get improvment in my psoriatic arthritis but not if it means I am going to be sicker which it sounds like I would be. I was on this drug once before orally and got sicker than a dog. The doctor yesterday told me that the injectable form has less side effects. I don't know about that after some of the things I read. Does any of this make sense to anyone ??? I am very scared of this drug........At any rate I feel there is no hurry to start this and I plan to hang on to my prescription and talk to the doctor further and express my concerns. Maybe there is something else....I hope.....
I hope with everyone's help here you are able to make the right decision. Like Jennifer mentioned, all medications list serious side effects (some worse than others like the one you are prescribed). Made has a lot of helpful tips as well. I pray for the very best for you!
It is time for some wine and TV! Since I don't have radiation anymore, I might just sleep in until 6:45 tomorrow!!! Goodnight, all!
I am so happy you are done with it!!! (((hugs)))

I think it's about time you open that year round Christmas store and have some of us jolly people work for you!!!

In the meantime, I will be praying all works out for you at your job!
That was beautiful and she sang it with pride!!!
lol, that's ironic... I was just thinking about Valerie, because I am sitting here working on my Christmas cards and I'm presently covered with Glitter... from head to toe...
CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #24

Good Morning, Over-the-Hump Christmas Enthusiasts.

Ah. Indeed.
Mid week has passed by and we have started the downhill coast to the Weekend.
(Heck! Weekend Eve is tomorrow, Folks!)

But let's look at this today:
Days to Christmas Day: 19
Wow! Just think about that now -- Nineteen!!

It was a tad cooler yesterday but still nice for early December, with just a bare sprinkle of a rain in the morning.
It is 42.2 degrees here currently on our handy-dandy digital back door thermometer.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Guys!
And let the power and the spirit of the Season be your guide and guardian today.
It is a Thrilling Thursday, indeed!!! =)
I miss you all so much in this busy time of year
Thinking of you all! ♥
We miss you too!!!
Well, here I am at the public library, killing time until my car is ready to be picked up. Took it in for one thing and when I went to get it, turns out the....track rod end? needs replaced and there's something up with the brake disks. Deep joy. Thing is, I trust these guys implicitly so I know they aren't making things up. I just REALLY wish all this had happened in July instead of a couple of weeks before Christmas!!

Our Christmas pantomime is going well - The Wizard of Oz - but I must admit I'll be glad to get my life back by the end of the week. Still, we have happy audiences so that's good. Dorothy has to calm down on her heel clicking though because her red sequins are falling off her ruby slippers!!!!!

I don't know when the computer will switch off so I'll catch you later from home, hopefully in a safe car!!!
I hope it all gets sorted out without costing a bundle!!!
Hope everyone has a great Thursday. I've been so busy I haven't be able to read any of the forums recently, but I hope you all are doing great and having a wonderful Christmas season!
Good to see you!!!

You have to pay for a work Christmas Party??? I can see pitch in by bringing a dish or a few bucks to help cover the cost of food but to the point of being expensive??? Wow! Actually it should be free as a work bonus to you! Good thing you will be doing your own thing!

I hope your wife gets well real soon!!!

Brent, we are thinking of you. I'm glad that you finally got a diagnosis, We will keep you in our prayers!
Thank you! Hopefully everything will be finalized/confirmed on Tuesday,

Sorry you didn't ge thte answer you wanted, but, as you say, at least you have a diagnosis and it's repairable. Good luck with it!
My thoughts exactly! Thanks, Brad!

My last radiation is over!!! Hooray!!! For some reason, today was extra tiring. I am going to take a nap and will be back on afterwards. Take care, everyone. Track, I think endoscopy is through the mouth and proctoscopy is the other end! Hubby has had many endosopies done to have his esophogus "stretched" out.

Brent, take care. I have had two knee surgeries and they are not really too bad. I healed fairly quickly and then had physical therapy. No more pain! Good luck to you.

Nap time!!!
Glad to know they're not bad, Seawaters. Thank you for the advice. Also, congratulations on completing your last radiation. I seem to recall your previous posting about being done near the beginning of Christmas. Now, I just hope that you can full enjoy the Christmas Season! :)

Praying for you Track and Brent!
Thanks, CAH!

Well that is a bummer. At least you know what's going on now though.
Thanks, made! I am Please to have an idea. Excited to have confirmation next Tuesday!

brent, i will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you!

wow, Kristy works there too?

"Kristy" works everywhere. :)

Over here we call them tie rod ends. It's what make your wheels turn when you turn the steering wheel.

19 days??? I hate it when the season flies by so quick.

Made, I have said it before and I will say it again, you are such a thoughtful, kind, intelligent and wonderful man. Why you are still single is a mystery to me!! Thank you so much for your post. I am actually on the fence about this whole thing. Part of it is the self injecting of the medication.

My sister swears by the buzzy. She used it when she gave my niece her shots and takes it to the hospital everytime she has to have blood drawn.

She also got my niece's doctor to prescribe numbing cream.

Good morning everyone!

I didn't have time to change my Countdown to Christmas sign this morning. Hopefully Kim does it. It will feel great changing from "20" to "19." The weather in Ottawa has cooled off. It was a chilly -7c (19f) on my walk this morning. Highs should reach about -2c (28f). Not bad. I like this weather. The could be another above freezing warm spell on the way, but it's not to get as warm as was previously expected.

Parliament is hosting its annual Christmas light unveiling tonight. Initially, I had planned to attend this, but I don't know if I can. I volunteer on Thursdays. It's supposed to be every second Thursday - as my good friend and I agreed to rotate - however, a few of my players asked for me to specifically watch and give them advice tonight. I'd feel bad in not following up our agreement. Plus, they're trying really hard and I want to give them as much help as possible.

Last night was quiet again. Kim watched the X-Factor and I did a few other things. The gym was fun. There were about seven or eight of my friends in the gym at the same time. It's a very small gym, so it's extra enjoyable when we're all there at once. Plus, it allows us to be together and plan weekend events. Apparently, we're having a games night this weekend and a gift exchange next. Impromptu!

Well, I should return to work. There isn't much for me to do right now, however, I'm sure that I can find something...

Oh! Today also marks exactly two weeks until I return home for Christmas! I couldn't be more excited, either. It's going to be a fantastic time. I love seeing old friends and visiting familiar places. Of course, being with family is always welcome, too. It should be great! Also, my mom's birthday is on the 15th, so my first night back, we always celebrate that, too... She doesn't like celebrating such without me being there, which is nice. I think a big reason for that is because we share a love of Christmas and she enjoys decorating the tree with me. Two more weeks!

Have a great Thursday, everyone! The weekend is in sight. I hope there are some Christmas plans in your near future! Continue enjoying the Christmas Season. Merry Christmas!

Cool!! Now lets just hope that the outcome is the same this year.

I'm really going to have to learn how to speak Car and Driver; they're doing their best to explain things to me and the best I can do is nod wisely and hope to God I don't ask any stupid questions!!!!!!!!!

Over here we call them tie rod ends. It's what make your wheels turn when you turn the steering wheel.

Do you want my ex fiance's phone number? You can call and ask her.
According to what you told me about her, we don't want to waste our time on a person like that.

She is probably kicking herself for messing things up between you two!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's a cool morning here in central Indy with a high of 53 expected this afternoon. I was looking forward to taking my niece's to the Christmas parade tomorrow night but the oldest one has the flu now and it also looks like rain. So I guess no parade for us. Maybe we can find something else to do. Today I need to run to the grocery store and get some more baking supplies. I'm craving snicker-doodles. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I got to get back to the gym. My mother goes often and I have had a lot of days just not feeling well but I plan to get back and join her soon. They are closing down that gym and moving up the block in a brand new building. I cannot wait to go there when they open it. Everything will be fresh and new! It sounds like you have a lot of motivation joining all your friends when you go. That is great!

It sounds like you have great plans for Christmas! Exciting!!! Happy early Birthday to your mom!
