Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning, Christmas family

Not a whole lot going on this morning. I am heading in to get my morning shower then I am going to see what is in the system I work out of. Today is the third day of my new med and so far no side effects, but no help either. Supposedly it can take up to 6 weeks before it starts working. It is dreary here today which is okay with me as it somehow feels more like Christmas when it is cold and gray outside. I sure wish we would get a nice cold front and some snow. I am so sick of these warm Winters. It just isnt right. I did read somewhere that come the middle of the month it will change. I hope so !!

Wishbone has been acting peculiar today. I hope there is not anything going on with him that is bad. Right now he is back to baseline sleeping in his bed behind the couch. I don't know why he wanted his bed back there but we accommodated him because it seems to make him happy.

X-mas - How are things at your job after that incident ?

I hope those meds kick in quicker than 6 weeks. The woman basically has ignored me since then, don't worry I have ticked off 2 more people since her, and I have only done nothing but my job. Imagine if I was a vengeful person how many more I could make mad at me. I guess some people get that way when the holidays get close.

I am a little surprised, I am getting a little nostalgic about leaving Las Vegas. I don't know if it's just the finality of it all? I know that a lot of it has to do with leaving my house and the good friends that I've made. It's strange, I wasn't expecting it this much. BUT, I am so excited to get back home!! That has not changed one bit! I heard that Eau Claire is expecting 3 to 5 inches of snow this weekend

Well I better get motivated and eat some breakfast and then take a shower.

Good luck with finding a new vroom vroom. Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. cheesy I remember the nostalgic feeling we had after leaving our first apartment, it was tough but we had opened a new door for us and I am glad we did.

Afternoon all!! Just dropping by while waiting for dinner to cook, Had a party for my daughters 7th birthday on friday, only had a couple of friends round but she loved it!!

Spent all day yesterday sick in bed, I havent felt that unwell for a while! im ok today just abit achey and starving hehe!!

Ordered a santa and snowman stand up decoration, going to stand one either side of my fire surround!! Cant wait until they arrive!!

Good Sunday morning everyone! it's a cloudy balmy temp of 65F outside,they say it may reach 80F today and tomorrow...unreal..but what can you do.lol IT's hard to believe it's just alittle over 2 weeks for the big day,and I am going to try to be here as much as possible..

It's been such a busy year,last night at one point both babies were crying at the same time...I think at one point I was even sheddin a tear or two....Brandi has decided to take 2 more weeks off work and not go back until after MLK holiday in January so she will officially go back on the 22nd instead of the 7th...I don't know how she does it...I hope everyone is doing good and getting the kind of Christmas weather you want.lol I think me and Brandi are going to have to postpone our ski trip until mid January because even the fake snow in the Wv is melting...We have decided to go to Canaan Valley resort in the Allengany MTS...if anyone has been there let me know how you liked it...they claim to have over 120 inches of fresh snow a year...anyway I am super excited about that...and everything is going great I'm just tired,but I guess that is to be expected....Have a great day everyone!

Congrats on the birth of your second baby! I am so sorry I missed you posting it (if I did) - I don't get to read the countdown everyday, like I used to, anymore. When did Brandi have the baby and what did she have? I can't remember if you guys were having another boy or not. That is so great. God Bless you guys! That's so awesome!

Nice to see you here, it must be tough dealing with the 2 babies some days, I know how tough it is with my 7 & 4 y/o.

My sister, BIL, and oldest niece are doing better. My aunt went back to the doctor on friday to get another round of antibotics and I think me and mom are going to end up there tomorrow. We just can't seem to get rid of this cough.


My niece has been really hurting. She goes in monday for her next infusion and they are going to up her dosage of the medicine.

Praying you get some relief soon.

Oh I forgot to add...poor snowball has a bladder infection...(no really) he does so I am having to give him 2 different rx'es for 7 days then take him back to see if it has cleared up on Tuesday...I have a great Vet..we had to wait one hour last Week when we took him in because the vet was doing an emergency surgery on a black Lab that had tackle and hooks down his throat...great news though the dog made it out of surgery and is okay...although it sounds horrible for the poor little dog....I can't wait until we move to Utah and snowball actually sees snow for ther first time...this time next year we will be there.I just hope Brandi finds work out there I heard it is hard to find a job out there even for teachers...anyways have a great day everyone!

I did buy some new dish washing gloves the other day and had to take them back yesterday because one of the gloves were missing!!! I have new gloves now so bring on the dishes. That will cost you an extra 102 dozen cookies!

Yes, just bring the cookies with you and we will all go to Six Flags Holiday in the Park and ride a bunch of roller coasters! =)

Lazy morning today, just relaxing now. We did some Christmas shopping online in bed this morning for my niece and nephew, isn't the internet wonderful? Getting ready for the Bengals vs Cowboys game in about 40 minutes should be a good one, sorry CAH and Ballcoach but GO BENGALS!!!

My wife is busy making chocolate biscotti for her cookie swap tomorrow at work, I'll be around doing mostly nothing today.

Good afternoon, MMC! Hope you're all enjoying you're Sunday so far and hope you're all well!

What is everyone hope to today? DH and I have been doing some things around the house and just got done with the lunch. Here at 4, we have the preschool Christmas party, which is going to be very nice by the sounds of it. It's at a local society, which they are going to have a dinner for us, then the kids are going to sing/put a play on and Santa will be there to see the kids. EA has been singing for weeks, so I am excited to see what is in store!

DH and I both work tonight, so my sister will be here to watch the kids. She is actually going to go with us to the party as well. I thought it would be nice to ask her to go, since she is with us a lot, plus since she would be here for the evening anyway. My kids just adore her, so I thought that would be a nice gesture.

Well, I am going to go get some more things done! I will talk to you guys later. God Bless and talk soon!

Hey sugar! Have a wonderful time at the Christmas party tonight I'm sure EA & her class are so excited- they will sound great! Those are some of the most fun things to do during the holidays. I wish I could have been at my nieces

I was looking at the old sugar cookie recipe---it only calls for sugar, shortening, vanilla, baking soda, and flour---fewer ingredients that the cookbooks I have call for. Doesn't even say how long to bake them or how much flour ("enough to make a soft dough"). I have Friday off, so I have a week to psych up if I'm going to try it!

As for chocolate chip cookies, I'm an old hand at those. I measured out the dry ingredients and packed them up tight to save a little effort later in the week.

Sounded like a good night, why does Coke always taste better in glass bottles?

You got me on that one, but nothing beats an ice-cold glass bottle of Coca-Cola! Especially with Santa on the label.
