Next week we plan to take my younger grandson (6 years old) out for the day then while Wayne is on vacation we will take my 3 year old granddaughter out for the day.

Wayne and I do this with the kids each year. We started a tradition for the kids to have some one on one time with us every December running around having Christmas fun. It's great because each child has a different interest in what they like doing so we focus on one child and let them pick and plan their special day. They really enjoy it very much!

Both you and wayne enjoy it when you can they grow up so quick

Seawaters.. hope you got a good rest today and not feel as tired

Xmas ..hope your wife get better from flu/cold

Shellie, did you see my reply about our Lodge bartender saying she shed a tear for Ireland?

I have a nice big blob of chocolate chip cookie dough in the freezer for baking later this week, and some gingerbread cookie dough (from a mix) chilling in the fridge for baking later this evening. Nothing like the 120 dozen someone we all know baked yesterday, but I'm not as energetic or ambitious as that!

We took a 15-minute walk up to the Wendy's, had lunch, and walked back home. I've been busy in the kitchen since then. I'm kicking back for a little while before I proceed with the gingerbread cookies. Time for a cup of tea!

I hate to see Monday looming up again---work at the office takes time away from enjoying the season. But at least I'm taking Friday and next Monday off for baking, wrapping, and hopefully some movies.

CS, Stay safe out there today. Please let us know that you got home okay after work

I am home again, safe and warm! It has been raining here since about 2pm, but only started icing up as I got close to home.
Now I am enjoying a hot turkey sandwich and a glass of wine while watching the Polar Express.

what a wonderful tradition, one that they will remember all their lives!

Good Sunday morning everyone! it's a cloudy balmy temp of 65F outside, they say it may reach 80F today and tomorrow...unreal..but what can you do.lol IT's hard to believe it's just alittle over 2 weeks for the big day,and I am going to try to be here as much as possible..

It's been such a busy year, last night at one point both babies were crying at the same time...I think at one point I was even sheddin a tear or two....Brandi has decided to take 2 more weeks off work and not go back until after MLK holiday in January so she will officially go back on the 22nd instead of the 7th...I don't know how she does it...I hope everyone is doing good and getting the kind of Christmas weather you want.lol I think me and Brandi are going to have to postpone our ski trip until mid January because even the fake snow in the Wv is melting...We have decided to go to Canaan Valley resort in the Allengany MTS...if anyone has been there let me know how you liked it...they claim to have over 120 inches of fresh snow a year...anyway I am super excited about that...and everything is going great I'm just tired, but I guess that is to be expected....Have a great day everyone!
when my kids were that small I used to have a lullaby to play for them and one of the lines was "you have to sing louder than the baby cries"
There were times I thought I would never be sane again and look at me now! Ok not a good example. But, yes there were times I felt like crying too when it seemed they would not. Just remember, this too shall pass.

I hope those meds kick in quicker than 6 weeks. The woman basically has ignored me since then, don't worry I have ticked off 2 more people since her, and I have only done nothing but my job. Imagine if I was a vengeful person how many more I could make mad at me. I guess some people get that way when the holidays get close.

Well, you dont deserve to be treated that way, ESPECIALLY at this time of year. I hope everyone chills out soon.......I hope your wife feels better too....xo

Uh oh. Binger better watch out. Someone has found the secret stash of Starbucks K-cups.

Good afternoon, MMC! Hope you're all enjoying you're Sunday so far and hope you're all well!

What is everyone hope to today? DH and I have been doing some things around the house and just got done with the lunch. Here at 4, we have the preschool Christmas party, which is going to be very nice by the sounds of it. It's at a local society, which they are going to have a dinner for us, then the kids are going to sing/put a play on and Santa will be there to see the kids. EA has been singing for weeks, so I am excited to see what is in store!

DH and I both work tonight, so my sister will be here to watch the kids. She is actually going to go with us to the party as well. I thought it would be nice to ask her to go, since she is with us a lot, plus since she would be here for the evening anyway. My kids just adore her, so I thought that would be a nice gesture.

Well, I am going to go get some more things done! I will talk to you guys later. God Bless and talk soon!
how did the party go? I love kids parties, they are always fun!
