Festivities are underway here...we are out for Christmas break and we went out to eat tonight and have some coffee....then we came home to watch Christmas shows....

the beauty of it all still amazes me....

Isn't it it amazing that we are all friends here, have never met, and still think of each other when we see certain Christmas things?! That makes me smile.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #38

Good Morning, Friends of all kinds and persuasions.

Just look at our count! (You do that before you dot another i.)
Days to Christmas Day: 5 (Holy Holly. It's dwindling down into a bedpost before our very eyes!)
Incredible! Simply incredible!

Nice here for mid December yesterday. We were able to open the doors and windows for a little refreshing airing out.
Should be a repeat today before much cooler weather returns for Friday.
But no matter. A little chill for Christmas is expected -- even appreciated!
We show 42 degrees here at this hour.

Everyone have a good time at the 'Pines last night?
The fired twinkies were really good this time, I thought. (Especially since they were free!)
Who won the door prizes?
What were they?
Was one in fact a camel-themed Christmas ornament?

I just really need a big hug today. Wishbone is sick. He doesn't want to eat. I am scared to death. Please pray for him......I can't lose him this close to Christmas..........

My wife teases me all the time and tells me that it's not normal for a man to like shopping as much as I do, (heck I don't mind it at all when she shops for clothes either) she say's that I have too many of one and not enough of the other (the X and Y thing)...lol!

I don't know, I like to go, I'm easy to please just by looking around (window shopping) and I even get fascinated by looking at all the people there, etc...

yes I did! It included this that was given to everyone as they left...

but this one was the door prize...

I am guessing Carl wants to make sure we do not forget him!

I get home tonight and my wife's Dr called her and said she has pneumonia, they gave her a wrong diagnosis it is not bronchitis. I should probably get checked out now because I have had this cough since the first week of November and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

Wish it had been me. I just realized I don't have a camel on my tree. Must correct that oversight!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It is going to be a miserable day here in central Indiana. It has been raining nonstop since last night and then later today the wind is going to shift and it will turn to snow. It looks like we will get about 2 inches right now. The winds are going to pick up too though and we will see near blizzard like conditions with 50 to 60 mph wind gusts. Fun. At least I don't have to go anywhere but my mom isn't going to be to happy to go out in it tomorrow morning. I think my plan for today is turn on the Christmas music and make some more candy. Buckeyes sound good and I haven't made them in a couple of years. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday we'll be having a special Christmas/movie party. We have a friend who does our outdoor work for us. Over the years we've had him and his wife and little boy in for a few times at Christmastime for pizza and a film show. Our schedules haven't meshed in recent years, but this year we're getting together again. Their little boy---the one who used to get bored with the movies and spill Coke on the rug and get wired on Christmas cookies---is graduating this coming spring and going into the Marines, and he's eager to have one more Christmas/pizza/movie party with us and his parents. Next Christmas he'll be somewhere out in the world with the Marines. It's touching to know that he remembers those movie shows so fondly, and wants to make one more memory of them. So it'll be a special evening for all of us.
