I have not had time to read through the posts but I know you have been praying, thank you.
Mom is home again, they could not figure out what caused this latest event. Suspect she may need more fluids also will be setting her up with portable heart monitor which they want her to wear for a week to see what is causing her heart to race at times thinking that may be the problem.

Also when we went into hospital at around 6pm all was rather green, by the time we left at 11pm I was knocking at least 2" of snow off the van! it all looks beautiful out now.

Going to bed, talk to you in the morning.

I will keep praying for your mom and you. I hope everything is okay with her!

I slept in today so I thought I wouldn't be tired, but boy I am exhausted. I have never been more ready for bed! I guess the past week's events of preparing for Christmas and then Christmas Eve/Christmas really wore me out. I apparently have a lot of sleep to catch up on.

Good night, everyone! Sleep well, sweet dreams. Praying for you all and your families. Hope everyone is ok weather-wise, drive safe!

Hey everyone!!

:wiggy:I hope everyone has had a blessed and beautiful day!! We had a lot of wind, a lot of cold, and a lot of rain....but no snow. Oh well, it's all good with a cuppa anyway! I hate to admit this but this year I have been so busy that I haven't been able to keep up like I should and I didn't even know about the daily Christmas song thread!! I just discovered it TODAY and cannot believe what I have missed out on this year (particularly in the summer lol). I am busy catching up now:).

I would like to thank all of you who take part in MMC for helping people like me keep the Christmas spirit all year long. Even when I can't keep up I know there is someone (usually a lot of someones!) keeping the Christmas candles lit and the lights twinkling year round. When I first joined up three years ago I was a post-Christmas depressed, miserable wreck and I have truly found a place that makes me smile every time I come here! Thanks Jeff for creating such a wonderful place for us to gather and thanks to everyone else for being here. You guys rock and I love you all!!

Peace and blessings to you all!!:sparkle:

Well I'm going to head off to dream land too. If I don't post tomorrow, it'll be because I can't lift my arms high enough to reach the keyboard. Icy hot is my friend tonight. Goodnight Everyone and I'll be praying for all of you.

Hope you feel better soon!

Hey!
Still here.
Enjoying my Countdown vacation, Season Day # 45, and the rest of Christmas Season 2012.

The familily is all here for the week and we are having a good time.
(I'm gaining weight from all the food, as I do every year. Fortunately, I'm able to loose it back again in January.)

Not to put a damper on things but be mindful that this thread will lock promptly at 12:00 AM (ET) on January 1. Get your posts in before then, Folks!

On the positive side, "Christmas Countdown 2013" will launch as immediately as I can get it set on the 1st, and we'll start from scratch to build yet another fantastic thread!
(Which reminds me I need to get to work and have it ready so all I have to do is a quick copy/paste.)

Have a Thrilling Thursday Everybody, and enjoy the remaining 6 days of Christmas Season 2012!!

Good morning all! The wife and I did some more shopping after work last night to add to next years Christmas decorations ... Also she was able to replenish the Christmas necessities like wrapping paper, bows, tissue paper and the works.

Hope everyone else is staying in the Christmas spirit!

Good morning, MMC!

We can't seem to get a break with the weather here. The snow stopped last night and I am not even sure how much we have. It's been too yucky to even run out there with a ruler to measure. Yesterday when I wanted to check it was sleeting, and now it is freezing rain this morning. Another day of hoping my dad is careful driving at work! So, it looks like I will be stuck home for today. I don't want to risk going out on the roads since most are still snow covered and now have freezing rain on top of that. I have some things to do (grocery shopping) but it'll have to wait. At least I picked up a lot of food before Christmas!

Is everyone back to work today? I hate seeing everyone go back! I know how nice it is to have some time off and then having to go back, especially when it seems like no one has nice weather. Drive careful!

I am going to go and get my day started. Have a Terrific Thursday, everyone! We are one step closer to Christmas than yesterday!
:???:

Sounds like a great day, Christmas-wise, Xmas Tidings. Is there snow even in your forecast?

A little bit, it's like a tease... The last two times we started getting a little bit of snow coming down (Christmas eve and yesterday the 26th), It started out as snow, and just as everything starts to turn white and then click, just like that, it turns into a cold, depressing rain...:-(

I have high hopes though.... The weather forecaster is calling for a little bit of snow for this Saturday! My snow blower is itching to come out of the garage and get to work!...lol cheesy

hi everyone
Went to garden centre and spent almost a £100 but got some good stuff

NICE !!!!!!!!! now am feeling ble again !!!!

Happy first day of Christmas 2013! Or maybe it's just the 2nd day of Christmas because Christmas is going loud and strong still in our house! Anyone get any good deals today? I picked up some lights but it was messy today - snow and ice and now WIND and rain. Can someone send some REAL snow to the east coast? We've been ripped off big time! Last year was a bust and I can't deal with another snow-less winter!!

I'm waiting with you judesmama! Last year was a complete snow bust... Maybe if all of us near that Mid Atlantic I-95 corridor, put all our wishes for snow together, maybe we might get some snow, (with no rain, no sleet, hail nor freezing rain) just some plain old snow and lots of it..... :snowball:

I'll keep her in my prayers, Star.

I had a nice day with lots of relaxing, tons of snow, and I still treated today like Christmas. My dad's work got all of the drivers off of the road early and sent everyone home. The roads are horrible. The salt truck finally came into my neighborhood and I think they buried my car in with even more snow. I don't think I'll be going anywhere tomorrow. I'd say we probably have seven inches of snow now and they are calling for two or three more this evening.

I think that sounds so nice for the Christmas season.... I'm jealous! Please send some to the East coast (Mid Atlantic)...:-D

Nine houses on my street were lit up on Christmas Eve and yesterday. Tonight? Not one but ours. I just don't understand how people can go from being in the Christmas spirit for months and then suddenly just shut it off, act like it never existed, and move on once midnight strikes on the 26th. Once your birthday is over you don't stop celebrating with people at midnight on the dot and I am pretty sure no one says to you "It's 12:00, your birthday is over! You're not important any more! Time to move on!"

I usually get yapped out by my wife because I leave our Christmas lights up and lit through the middle of January ! She keeps reminding me about the BGE bill; (our electric bill)! I look at it this way, it takes alot of time and effort to get everything tested, put up and lit, and kept lit through the nasty weather... And most of all, I want to keep my Christmas feeling going for as long as possible, I want to show others how I feel and hopefully continue to spread that Christmas feeling to others as much as I can, to help take away that dreaded post Christmas blues....:yahoo:

I am going to go turn on a Christmas movie and have some snacks!

I'll think I'll join you!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with temps struggling to just reach freezing. I'm a little sore this morning but not as bad as I thought I would be after all of that shoveling yesterday. That is a good thing because I have to go out there and dig out a couple of my neighbors cars today. I wonder If I can run back to the maintenace shed and borrow their snowblower without anyone noticing. I also have a lot of cleaning to do. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Wind and heavy rain with the temps in the 30s here---depressing. And there's a problem with the heating system here in the office, plus all the thermostats are set at 65, so I'm leaving my coat on today. It was the same yesterday, so I got smart and brought some soup today so I can get warmed up at lunchtime. Plus a couple mugs of tea to get me through the morning ...

Well, at least tomorrow's Friday!
