Not needed???? Santa??? How could you not need a Santa!!!!

 The Peppermint Patties were needed, I am just holding out for a better deal on the Santas. cheesy

We are going to be having our Christmas dinner this weekend. I start back to work on Jan. 7 and want to have leftovers to start the New Year. I did not feel like cooking on Thanksgiving or Christmas, so we will celebrate on Sunday. Normally we smoke a turkey and have Ripieno de Salsicce, an Italian stuffing; but this time, I am going to cook the turkey in the oven and use my mother's stuffing recipe. I can hardly wait!

Ummm, Lear jet, Western Massachusetts, umm, say 3pm Sunday?

JP's Dr finally got back to us regarding his CAT Scan, everything in his brain is normal, all his sinuses were completely full and giving him the headaches, looks like it may be an allergy issue which caused a major sinus infection. We have to go back for a follow up appt to see what we will have to do about the possible allergies. Thank you for all the prayers.

You MUST have read "Dandelion Wine," one of my all-time favorites. If not, you have a treat coming when you do!

I believe Mr. Bradbury passed away this year.

He did--I want to say in July? My favorite of his stories will always be "I Sing the Body Electric, which was made into a TV movie called "The Electric Grandma". I loved the Martian Chronicles too, and "Something Wicked this Way Comes" scared the pants off of me first time I read it--and the first time I saw the movie with Jason Robards....

So glad that it is "curable."

I love Something Wicked....

I just saw Elf is going to be on ABCFamily at 5pm! I'm so glad they are still playing Christmas movies. They always use to stop Christmas night, which always made it feel like they were rushing Christmas out. No Harry Potter movies (sorry, CM3) during the 25 Days and now this. I think they are listening to us. cheesy

I have a good chapter-by-chapter synopsis of Dandelion Wine that I just love to read through, just to remind myself of the symbolism and metaphors in the book. If anyone wants a copy, I will send it. Hopefully I will be more successful than I was with an attachment for CAH!!!

I don't care to see the Harry Potter movies during the 25 Days either. I think they may have had them on once this year, though. I had a tear-out in a magazine that listed all of the programs on the 25 Days and I swore they were on there. I do like the movies, but I don't think they are very Christmasy.

If I hadn't watched Elf three or four times in the past couple of weeks then I would have turned it on. I think I am going to put It's A Wonderful Life on tonight. I didn't get a chance to see very much this year. I watched a ton of movies but that is one of the couple I missed.

No problem Xmas !!! Believe it or not as much as I love Harry (and I do LOVE Harry) I never thought they were appropriate as Christmas movies even though Christmas is celebrated in a few of them !!! xo

Good evening, Christmas family !

MY BABY IS HOME !!!!!! I Am So GLAD To See Him !!!!

Wish got released from the hospital today. He seems to be feeling pretty good. The tech showed us how to infuse the IV fluids. My husband said we will do it together which is a big relief. After we got him in and settled, I went down the hall to the room where I work to get something. We have many gates in our house to keep the kids out of places we don't want them to be. Without thinking when I went down the hall I closed the gate. A few seconds later Wish was whining and crying because I left him !!! He has never done that before....My poor little man. I will never leave him again. I will leave the stupid gate open the next time !!

Just cross your fingers and a few prayers too that I will be able to infuse the fluids. I get squeamish around needles .....

Star - I hope your dear mother is okay.

Xmas - Wonderful news about JP !!

Seawaters - Congratulations on the retirement !! I wish I could retire someday but that is definitely not in the cards.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is my personal favorite and the most meaningful of all Christmas movies for me. Enjoy!

I heard a new song today that really described how I feel around this time of year..."Already Miss Christmas" by Paul Sikes. Sorry there is no YouTube link, but it's available to hear a sample on on iTunes.

And not just any ol' jet either. Made, tell Murphman how I got it!

Well it all started about 2 years ago. Seawaters decided that she would give out prizes to the poster that posted every thousandth post. Like 1,000, 2,000, 3,000. Well most of us got things like a broken rubber band or a empty gum wrapper. Seawaters though, gave her self a Lear Jet when she hit one of the milestones. Then the next time it was a trip to Italy. The rest of us think that the contest was rigged and she gave her self the best gifts but she swears that it was all random and that's just how it worked out.

(So no she doesn't actually own a jet. It's just an inside joke.)
