The repairman was here. When he ran his computer on the lines, he found a sustained short supposedly in the house somewhere and also something wrong with the outside lines. He fixed the outside line three miles from the house and when he got back here, there was no longer a short in the house. He thinks it was fixed, but not really sure as it was something he has never seen before. I swear it has to be because it is my house. cheesy He also told me that DSL is not an option as the lines have not been changed over and even if they were, the house is too far away for it to work. The phone is working now so I am happy!

Agreed! 100% Actually, I don't mind winter in Jan, early Feb...but by the end of February, I'm getting pretty antsy for some NICE weather & MORE daylight!!!!

Sorry to hear you took a little fall hope its not to bad. Knees are one of the trickiest injuries. After two surgeries on my knees, hate for anyone else to have to go through that.

That's a bummer about DSL but at least the phone is working again!!

Thank you. I couldn't fall asleep. My knee hurts and is swollen and bruised already but I can bend it so I don't think its serious. I just took some Motrin. I feel like such a klutz!
