Christmas Countdown - 2013

Meeting at work went well. It was just a general one, you know, this is what is being done right and why we think you are great, this is what is wrong, this is what will happen if you do not follow the rules. We did some talking about some issues that have come up. The nicest part was that it ended a 1/2 sooner that they told us it would! The funny part was all the people who tried to come in and shop while the store was closed and we were having a meeting by the front tills. LOL

That works, then we could have a Christmas house people could come and stay at that comes with free transportation!

Good evening, everyone. How are you all? All is well here with me. I've been enjoying my day off the family. We had a lot of fun today. Hope you all did too!

What did you all do today? Well, since I was off, I watch some Hallmark, then we headed to the mall and we went to the Hallmark Premier. I got three ornaments, one for each of the kids, then one for the family. I also collect snowglobes and Precious Moments. They had a Christmas themed Precious Moments snowglobe, so I picked that up as well. After that, we ate at Applebee's for dinner, went to Petco for new fish for my kids, and hit up Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt. After we got home, we set off the last of the fireworks we had left. Now, I am relaxing and watching the last few hours of Hallmark movies.

Tomorrow night, I head back to work, as pretty much all of you do tomorrow. I hope you all have a great day tomorrow. I have to take EA to the dentist and DS to get his 2 year pictures taken. It will be a pretty busy day tomorrow as well.

Well, I am off to read some more of the boards and relax the rest of the evening. Talk to you guys tomorrow. God Bless. Keep smiling. Enjoy what's left of the weekend!

Howdy! To add to the, "I hate summer", it's been so hard on my dog Chico who has congestive heart failure. He is struggling to breath and really has had me worried this week. I keep him in ice cold air conditioning but that brief moment he has to go outside to do his business wipes him out and takes forever to get his breath back again.

MerryCarey, we still love you for enjoying summer! If I lived where you are at, I would enjoy it too!!!! =) Can I bring Chico with me for the summer to your house? He would probably feel better!!!

It has been an emotional roller coaster this week with my little doggy. I have taken him to the vet twice for his condition. We took him in Monday and the vet said all looks good considering what he is going through. I observed him all week and wasn't satisfied with what the vet said so we took him back Friday and the vet said he of course has a terminal heart condition but still holding his own and not critical. He didn't even charge me for the visit on Friday and he was swamped that day, he should have charged me double! lol. Bless his heart! I love the vet so this was no knock at his judgement, it was me being paranoid and unsure if Chico was really okay! The reassurance Friday was a help but I still worry of course.

Poor Chico - I'm still praying for him. Do any of the stores in your area sell puppy training pads? You could train Chico to use them and then he wouldn't have to go outside when it is too humid. Take care, CAH! {{{HUGS}}}

Ryan, we have a bunch of old houses in town here, but this is the one that looks like it is straight out of The Addams Family or The Munsters. It is an old mansion that was damaged by the tornado in 2011, shortly afterwards they had an estate sale and my wife and I stopped by to be nosey to see what it looks like inside, it is just as creepy inside as it is outside.

It is such a unique house, it looks so out of place in this town now, I always pictured this one as a haunted house.

How sad that it was damaged. I would have loved to go to that estate sale - I go to some just to see inside the house, too!

I can't comment objectively because I LOVE Victorian mansions.
They are all beautiful to me!

It is an old mansion that was damaged by the tornado in 2011, shortly afterwards they had an estate sale and my wife and I stopped by to be nosey to see what it looks like inside, it is just as creepy inside as it is outside.

It is such a unique house, it looks so out of place in this town now, I always pictured this one as a haunted house.

It's all in the perspective.
When I see such houses, I don't get a creepy feeling, I get a sad one.
That people could let such beautiful homes fall into ruin like that.
What a fabulous Bed and Breakfast place they could make!

The sad thing is that the owners were in the middle of fixing the place up when the tornado hit, after that they decided to sell because of all the damage caused by the storm. You can't really see it in the pictures, but there was a large porch that was torn off, there was a greenhouse in the back that was connected to the main building. That house must have been a jewel back in the 1800's. It is sad to see how it is everyday now.

Good evening, MMC!

I hope all of you in the heat wave are staying cool! It wasn't too bad here. Didn't really do much and kept the windows closed and the blinds turned until the sun was almost down so it stayed comfortable in the house - 80 according to the thermostat in the living room. I'm tired!
