My brother posted a long post on Facebook about how the silly game of "Farmville" had introduced him to so many friends around the world. I told him that I would view the game through a different set of eyes now.........but that I'm still not playing it. LOL!
It occurred to me though to stop in here on my birthday and thank you for all the birthday wishes. But, more than that. I've made so many friends here from all over the world that I consider my best friends. I mean better friends than any that I see in the "real world".
You have been here for me through cancer, business almost failing, joys, triumphs. I always know where I can come and get encouragement when I need it and share any kind of news with my friends. This is also the place I can come and be an encouragement to others.
MMC, Jeff, and all the rest of you. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Everybody's feeling extra-Christmassy today brought me luck. I just got a $24 Christmas book at the Building 19 (local bargain-basement store) for $3.99---"Pearl Harbor Christmas," which covers what was happening in the country the Christmas after the Pearl Harbor attack, from December 22, 1941 to New Year's Day of 1942. Looking forward to reading it!
So if it doesn't get here in the time frame given to me I know where it went. cheesy

A very rare Sunday evening visit from myself. But, I come bearing gifts. I few weeks ago, I mentioned Tinseltown, Ottawa's new year-round Christmas store. Upon my first visit, I had realized that I forgot my camera. Well, Kim and I have just returned from Tinseltown and I managed to take some great pictures. I'll share them (all) with you here. Kim and I purchased one of these. Most of the store is 40% off until the new stuff arrives in late June. We purchased the one on the bottom right. It has Santa, who appears to be pictured more so as Father Christmas has a child on his lap. We had a couple others in our hand but switched back and forth. We ultimately ended up with Father Christmas. Great choice! It will look wonderful in our place. Only nine more months!
