Another weekend has past and we're nearing the end of the first month of 2013. It was an enjoyable weekend here in Ottawa. Kim and I managed to stay in on Friday and then met with some friends on Saturday night. It was good times. Yesterday was spent mostly cleaning and (for me) doing homework.

It looks like we could be in for a treat today. We should receive about 5cm of snow this afternoon. The rest of the week won't be pretty either. Rain and freezing rain - and lots of it! That's for Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll see how that turns out.

I don't think we have many plans for this week. A friend informed me that due to our running of a local rink, we were given free tickets for the Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals game tomorrow night. I'm a fan of neither team, but it should be an entertaining game to watch.

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is looking forward to the next as well. It will be nice to flip the calendar on Friday!

We took my former boss out for dinner Saturday night to a fancy restaurant. You have to understand that I'm a country boy, so Olive Garden is about a fancy as I can stand, but this place had a dress code, and offered only 6 entree choices. Among these choices was roast duck in some kind of wine sauce, and of all things, ratatouille. My kids loved hearing about that since we've seen the Disney/Pixar movie a hundred times.

Anyway, I left there and went to a new coffee shop that competes with Starbucks here in the southeast, called Elliano's. Good cuppa joe! Dawg, I think there's one in Valdosta, too.

The temp here in Oklahoma is supposed to be 75 today! Yesterday was about 70 I think (kids got to go outside).

Girl Scout cookie season has started and some folks are selling them at work. Why must I give into the sweet, seductive siren song of the thin mints every year? The thin mints is a demanding mistress, but each year I find myself back in her arms. :lol:

Oh well, there goes the diet. Happy Monday, everyone.

I love the Thin Mints, during the non-GSC selling season I have the Keebler Grasshopper cookies. They are basically the same cookie, I keep them in the freezer. cheesy

Well, I made it until 12:30, then I had to head home...temp is back at 101 and I feel like I've been monkey stomped, twice. Have yall ever seen a monkey stomp? I haven't either, but it sounds painful.

The first one I saw was at Walmart and it was purple. I liked it but decided to check out Academy before making a final decision. Then I came across this one at Academy that has gears, the other did not have gears and I really wanted that feature. It happened to be purple as well! I love the cruiser style bikes, they are old timey type and just more comfortable to me. I took it for a ride yesterday and for a short time this morning.

I plan to get a child's seat so my granddaughter can go riding with me.

Wayne and I decided that the bikes will be our Valentine presents to each other. He will get one in a couple of weeks. I doubt his will be purple with flowers on it. Ha ha!

I think I will decorate it for Christmas by adding battery operated Christmas lights and add a wreath on the back. :lol:

I will be back later today to catch up! I gotta run right now!!!

What a nice thing for him to do, I hope you enjoy riding it.

Hello MMC

Hope you are all doing well, can you believe that Christmas was a little over a month ago? Goodness here we are at the end of Jan, not that I am complaining for sure. We did get some snow which made Snickers a very happy dog!!! The kitties were not as impressed. Work is moving along, looks like we are moving into the interior phase of work soon, this should be interesting.

Work is picking up with my hubbies business so we have been going non-stop during the week and I have to close the year this weekend I am so not looking forward to it, LOL!!!

Well, I need to pop around and see what is new and happening here at MMC TTYL

Good afternoon,

It is snowing like the Dickens here, the schools had early dismissal so my quiet day is no longer quiet. The kids are driving me nuts! cheesy LC had his first day at the new daycare, I don't know if it is going to work since LC is 2 years older than all the other kids, I would rather have him with kids his own age. I should be taking down the last of the indoor Christmas decor, but I don't want to. cheesy.

it was snowing here, now it is raing in getting foggier all the time. Up to 3c (37f) now.
