Good evening, Christmas family

Just getting ready to turn in for the night. I took the final exam and got a 94%. I guess that's still an A. I wanted to do better but oh well.....

I am so glad everyone seems to have had a really nice Easter ! For me this year Easter was just like any other day, except I didn't work. I really should have - It is always better when I keep myself busy.

Big ((((Hugs)))) to everyone but especially to:

All this talk of upgrading technology.. Hmm... Will I ever get rid of my VCR??? Still functions and so do all the 100's of VHS tapes I have so I will keep it along with my DVD player. We played an Easter VHS today, The Easter Beagle!

(Did I just open up a can of worms for a new conversation)!?

I with you. I just went out and bought a new DVD/ VCR combo a couple of weeks ago at Best Buy. All because I have soooo many VCR tapes that I really just do not want to go out and re-purchase them all over again (as a DVD) just because. I guess I'm looking at it this way, "if It isn't broke, why fix it!"; sort of thing. I mean I must have about 100 of the Disney movies (the ones that came in the hard vinal cases), another 100 VHS John Wayne and various western movies and a whole bunch of misc VHS movies, shorts and cartoons and there's nothing wrong with them. So, I going to keep holding onto to the VHS thing for awhile yet myself.....

I bet you'd like "The Devil Bat" with Bela Lugosi! Lugosi has a grudge against a manufacturer who stole his formula for a shaving lotion. So he invents a new shaving lotion and trains giant bats to attack and kill anyone wearing that unique scent. Then he gives free samples to his enemies and urges them to "rub it on the tender part of the neck ... it's very soothing!"
Now, that's more like it, I like the old B&W's. Now, next thin a big bowl of popcorn....

We have a few Halloween type movies with no gore also we watch every October, some are: Young Frankenstein, The Monster Squad, The Goonies, Mad Monster Party (an old Rankin/Bass stop motion movie)[/QUOTE] That's great! Thanks for sharing because I have never watched a couple of these before...

That is a classic !! One of my favorite Bela movies !! xo
I enjoy the old Abbott and Costello Meets.... Oh, and don't forget the Three stooges shorts about ghosts and such~

We have tons of Disney tapes too, from when the girls were little. I also have my Little Rascals collection and lots of Christmas classics. Oh and so many sentimental videos from my girls dance recitals and cheerleading competitions and talent shows. I'm going to hold on to the VCR as long as I can too!

Oh Yes !!! And another favorite is the one where Andy arrests a man and his whole family come to the jail and they have a Christmas party while the mean old miser in the town is secretly watching outside the jail through the window trying to figure out a way to join in....That is so beautiful xo

I have that one! This is a classic and I love to watch it every Christmas... The only sad part that I always have is thta no one in my household will watch it with me; sadly (sighhhh) I'm all alone when it comes to watching old B&W Christmas stuff.....:(

The girls head back to school today. We always have a hard time getting back in to the swing of things after having off for a while. I don't have too much planned, maybe a trip to Target today. Then back home for daily chores. And I'm going to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. My youngest has a cough that is lingering. She did have a cold but I'm hoping the construction in the kitchen isn't bothering her. She is allergic to dust so I'm sure it isn't helping. I'm doing the best I can cleaning the house. But I can clean and then turn around and there is another layer of dust, it's frustrating. I have an air purifier in her bedroom, not sure what else I can do. Have I mentioned that I can't wait until this kitchen is finished? lol
I hope everyone has a great day!

One of our local stations always showed "Harvey" for Easter ... I have to admit rather sheepishly that "Harvey" is my traditional Easter movie.

"Harvey", is one of my all-time most favorites to watch!!! I mean, at the top of my list, I love that one....
Merry, I just love your taste in movies~:D

Good Morning, April Foolish Frolicking Festive Fete-Finders.

Indeed!
Another month.
That much closer to Christmas Season 2013.

But first, there's this -- no foolin'!
Days to the Season: 226
Days to Christmas Day: 268
Just over 3 1/2 weeks left now until our next Milestone, the 1/3 marker to Christmas Day, followed immediately by the 200-day Season Window.
(What a week that will be!)

Another nice one yesterday, once the rain cleared away which it did early.
Got another soaking after dark yesterday evening, when it really didn't matter.
One more nice day today, then "Indian Winter" returns for Tuesday.
We are at a balmy 55 degrees here currently, to start the new month.

Y'all have a Marvelous Monday now, y'hear?

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a great Easter weekend. I finally got all the grass cut on Saturday so Nancy wouldn't be totally embarrassed by our yard on Easter. It's sort of an unwritten rule in Bellville that your yard has to look good for Easter. I don't know where it started, but everyone was working in their yards.

Yesterday we took my mom out to dinner after church. Well, technically she took us out, since she insists on paying for every meal we eat together. Then we went to Nancy's parents' for an Easter egg hunt and another meal. I'm still full!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

MerryCarey,
my dad loves the movie, Harvey. I have yet to see it and I am a huge Jimmy Stewart fan!!!

Caninemom, I just love Andy Griffith too! Especially the Christmas one!

Congratulations to you on your exam! 94% is awesome!!!

Same with my televisions. I would not replace them with flat screen ones until the old ones stopped working. I finally had to replace them a year ago.
Have I mentioned that I can't wait until this kitchen is finished? lol
I don't recall you mentioning that!
I know that is exciting, my kitchen needs a serious overhaul!
