What did you find?

I have trouble coming up with a new gift each year, I know Mom will appreciate anything & really she just wants to spend time with us. She keeps saying she has enough & not to bother. Of course that doesn't stop us!!

This will be the first year in 10 years that I will be w/ my Mom on Mother's Day
So excited about that!!

We finally went to bath & Body Works where Elizabeth picked out some stuff that Nancy liked, and they made a gift bag out of it in the store. Handy!

It's going to be another warm day! High of 76 & lots of sun. Chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, which would be kind of neat. I always love a good thunderstorm!

Good morning,

Just doing my Wednesday routine before work, finished up the boys laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. Watching a Christmas episode of Married With Children, I love this show, I have all the Christmas episodes saved on my DVR even though I have every season on DVD. cheesy

I don't want to work tonight, but I have a full weekend off so just today, Thursday, and Friday and I am there. We are going to take my wife to a garden store and buy her flowers and herbs to plant outside for Mother's Day, we discovered last year there is nothing like fresh basil and oregano to use for cooking and that is all she wants are plants.

I'm told that a dog house is too good for me. She did offer to drop me off behind Bernie's store so I could sleep in a cardboard box.

I thought that was pretty generous of her, considering the steam coming out of her ears.

Good morning everyone. Nothing new to report, other than I'm still trying to fight a bad case of the "I don't give a care" syndrome! I really think it’s a combo of school ending this week and finally graduating, nicer weather, and the countdown to vacation. But I will press ahead.

So, any of you have experience with the iPad Mini? I’m thinking of getting one with some gift cards I have received. I have a Kindle Fire and like it, but my kids use it more than I do. I’ve also noticed the app store is somewhat limited. I like the size of the iPad Mini, but I wonder if I would regret not buying a full size one. I had a first generation, smaller Kindle Fire and enjoyed it. Then, I bought the bigger 8.9 inch screen and found I actually don’t enjoy reading on the bigger screen as much as I thought I would. My kids enjoy it for playing games, so it receives a lot of use. But, anyone have experience with either size iPad and have any recommendations?

I have the full sized iPad and it's one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. I love it! You can do pretty much anything on an iPad.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high in the mid 70's. I'm feeling better today but my sides and back are still killing me from all of the coughing over the last couple of days. I have some work to get done though so I can't let that keep me down. I became an Great Aunt at 10:27 this morning. Here is Elizabeth Grace, who weighs 7 pounds, 8 ounces. Look at her! She looks good for a newborn, and look at those eyes open and looking around already. My niece and nephew-in-law are so proud they're ready to pop. I can't blame them!

Good afternoon,

Just lounging around, should be mowing the lawn, but that will be there on Saturday. Peace and quiet is a fleeting thing in this house. cheesy Watching Police Academy, this movie cracks me up and I can't believe it is nearly 30 years old. I may take a nap, I got up early because the boys were arguing while my wife was getting ready. LC did great at his kindergarten evaluation, he is ready for the next step, which also means no more paying for daycare soon.

Hello everyone! I really hope you all are doing fine. :] I haven't been here for a while now. I missed the Christmas spirit the forum community brings even though the summer is almost here. ^^ I'm quite excited and feel very strange today because I have taken my last examination at the university this year. So I can now say that my first year at the uni is completely and oficially finished. It sounds pretty scarry actually. Before I started university 'one year' or 'four year course' had sounded as a way longer period of time. But now, I realize how quickly time actually flies. :] Majority of my new friends are leaving the town for a summer soon so it's going to be really quiet and boring without almost anyone around (because I'm not sure about my summer plans so it's really confussing me). I hope you all guys are enjoying the soon-to-come summer. If anyone is ill, I wish you to get better soon; if anyone is going through a hard time now, there will be better times soon - life is like that: full of ups and downs. Hugs to everyone. xx

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! The sun is shining and the temperature is a rising here in central Indy. We should top out around 75 this afternoon. I got up early and ran a few errands this morning so I could be home this afternoon when CAH emailed me about her mom's surgery. I promise I'll let you all know as soon as I hear from her. This stupid cough is still lingering but at least it isn't real bad when I'm up and moving. It definitely get's worse when I lay down at night though. So I guess I just won't sleep until I get completely over it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning, everyone! How are you all? I am well. I haven't go to reply to many of the posts, but will try later.

What are your plans for today? I have lots to do around the house, which I am going to go start now. DS is home, EA at preschool. DH is still on vacation, so he will be helping. Later this afternoon, I have an eye doctor appointment and then have parent-teacher conference for EA.

Back to work tonight I go, but then I am off Friday!!! I just got news from my mom, who also works with me, who is the Adm. Assistant of the Nursing Dept., after my vacation, I have to work 6 days in a row, because other people will be off. Blah...that stinks, but I am looking forward to the time I will be off.

Good morning! I just wanted to drop in & say "Happy Pines Day!" :???:

So far it's a beautiful day in Ohio! Calling for a chance of frost though Sunday night! Grrrr!

It's been a crazy week. Yesterday we buried my Aunt who lives next door to my parents - so I was blessed to be raised with my awesome Aunt/Uncle living next door. She will be missed! What a wonderful lady! A stoke took away her eyesight about 2 1/2 years ago, so now she is able to see all these beautiful spring blooming trees & flowers again (which she always loved!) She turned 90 in February, so she did have a good & long life - just wish she could live for ever. My uncle (her hubby) is 92 & going strong, so hopefully he can stay strong through all of this. He will miss her like crazy!

Congratulations to Great Aunt MerryBells! What a cutie!

Sick child over here, again... seems like between my 2 boys and my niece, one or all kids have been sick for weeks now... blah! Poor Noel woke up with a fever so we're just hanging out at home on this rainy day. Jude has tball photos that we have to skip because hubby won't be home in time and I'm not dragging a sick 2.5 year old out in the soggy weather at bedtime for some photos. What a scrooge of a tball mom I am, huh? hehe!

We just read through the Dreambook AGAIN! I am going to put Elf on a Shelf on from my DVR now, I think!
