Then you have the Peabody hotels which have ducks that are a part of the hotel. They march in twice a day to the music of John Phillips Sousa, swim around in the indoor fountain, and then march out again and go to their penthouse! It is so fun to watch. HMG, maybe you could open up your house as a bed-and-breakfast and have the ducks for entertainment, LOL!

I hope the ducks don't start inviting their friends over, now that they're feeling right at home!

I remember a hotel back in Maryland that had a deer jump the fence, swim around for a while, then jump back over the fence and back across the highway into the woods. IIRC, it happened at my college, too.

My kind of weather, too, Made. I would even enjoy the rain!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here in central Indy with a high of 64!!!!!! Heck yeah, this is my kind of weather. It's going to stay cool here all weekend and there is a slight chance of rain tomorrow and sunday. It's not going to be an all day rain though so there will still be plenty of time to enjoy the cooler temps. I think my plan for today is to get my cleaning and grocery shopping done so I can enjoy the weekend. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

The ceremony was very special. The boys were excited and so were the parents. I was mistaken about dinner afterwards, but they did have excellent refreshments. One was a puff pastry with a filling of nutella, chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows. It was then drizzled with nutella and chocolate melted together. One of the yummiest desserts ever!

Your plans sound like a nice way to spend the summer. During times like these, I really miss having my kids little. They sure make summer fun, so I am sure you will enjoy your summer so much. I bet they will have you laughing every single day. I hope you and others who have kids or grandkids, or furbabies (CAH, hint, hint; Snowflake and Harlowe, HMG [kids and furbabies], Meceka and Palmer and Mouse, and Made and his neighbor and friend, Brad and his family and car, Coach and Wifey and Baby Coach, [who else?]) will share your summer with those of us who are empty-nesters. I smile every day reading about what is happening with you. It helps keep me young, LOL.

And we love hearing about your adventures!!

XO

Great plans, Bradmac!

TGIF!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had some fresh corn-on-the-cob last night, and it's still on my mind. Mmm, mmm! I don't like hot weather, but I sure do love fresh vegetables.

I hope we have an un-eventful Memorial Day weekend. I plan to clean the pool, cut the grass, work on the Camaro...and maybe get 18 holes in! We'll see. Of course, I have to go see Star Trek again!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I forgot to tell you guys yesterday that I made Rice Krispy squares. I melted 3 T. butter, added one 8-oz. pkg. Campfire Key Lime Mallow Bursts and stirred it until smooth. I then added five cups of rice cereal and stirred until coated, patted it into a buttered Pyrex container, cut into squares, and enjoyed. Come on out here!

Are you serious Clark??? Ahhhh, fresh Corn-on-the-cob, nope you won't see that around these parts until after the 4th of July; maybe they might start getting some early corn on the Easter Shore (of the Chesapeake Bay)! Awww man, hot corn out of the pot, with some melted butter and with some Old Bay seasoning sprinkled all over it; I'm ready....
:corn:

No, but it wasn't very far from us. Of course, I was busy on the computer working on an Excel spreadsheet for Hubby. Numbers make me dizzy anyway, LOL!!! A lot of people in town did feel it, though.

We have some Mennonite farmers that grow the best corn. I can hardly wait for the Farmers' Market to be open!!!
