Xmas, I stopped by JoAnn Fabrics today, and saw these Halloween trees. Not sure what your wife was looking for, but thought that they were cute!

They also have little cute & spooky ornaments to decorate it with. They were 40% off.

She has a certain one on her mind from our local orchard that they sell, I can't remember for the life of me what they look like. I told her I could set up our Christmas tree and she could decorate it like this:

That one didn't fly to well. cheesy

I was at Hallmark the other day, and picked up a Keepsake ornament that I have been wanting for over a year now. It's a 2012, called A Carol By Candlelight. It's of an old country church, and lights up & plays Silent Night. It sounds like it is being played by one of those old-fashioned church organs. Love it. And I got it for 75% off during a sidewalk sale, sweet!

Took a pic of it, and managed to get sleeping beauty, too =)

Nice find!!!!

What a cutie!

Our Philly cheese steak sandwich dinner is in the crock pot and it tastes so, so good! I browned some baby bellas in the frying pan with a little butter and some garlic olive oil and put it into the crock pot as my first layer. Then I carmelized a large onion that I cut into slices, adding garlic just before the onions were done and placing them as the second layer. I sliced red bell pepper and green bell pepper as the third layer. I bought thin-sliced sirloin and cut it into strips and added that as my fourth layer. I then mixed a package of garlic and herb salad dressing mix with about 14 ounces of beef broth and poured that over the contents of the crock pot. I cooked this on high for about four hours. (We will be eating dinner soon.) Hubby tasted it and wanted me to increase the au jus, so I added more beef broth. (He wanted there to be leftovers for tomorrow or Wednesday.) We will soon enjoy this on sweet French rolls, adding Provolone and using the au jus as a French dip type of sandwich. This is so easy and one of my better sandwich meals. I bought fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mangoes, bananas, nectarines, apples, and peaches) for a fruit salad with vanilla bean cream cheese fruit dip. I also added a can of Del Monte Very Cherry fruit cocktail that has a cherry-flavored light syrup. I will serve the fruit salad with a cranberry-citrus oat Newtons cookie. Dinner is just about ready. TTYL

This does sound good! I'm not usually a Philly cheesesteak fan, but I think I would like this. I know DH would love it. I may have to try it some night. Thanks for the suggestion!

Your weekend sounds like a fun time. We have a three-day weekend next week, with Labor Day as our holiday. Of course, for me, every day is a holiday since I have retired. Sometimes I don't even know what day it is!

Sort of like the song by Chicago, "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?"

Written by Robert Lamm
Lead Vocals by Robert Lamm

As I was walking down the street one day
A man came up to me and asked me what
The time was that was on my watch, yeah...And I said

(I don't) Does anybody really know what time it is
(Care) Does anybody really care (about time)
If so I can't imagine why (Oh no, no)
We've all got time enough to cry....

I ended up listening to this song last night. Funny you mentioned Chicago as I heard a song of theirs the night before and I was remembering my childhood days when mum listened to them......

I just don't understand creative copywriting. Specifically, how a campaign that consists of long statements printed in all-cap bold block letters on buildings and walls and sidewalks with no punctuation and NO mention of the client can drive business to (un)said client ... I spent quite a bit of time penciling in the correct punctuation, but I'm sure it'll all be rejected 'cause it interferes with the design. I say **** the design and use proper punctuation so readers can understand the message instead of having to puzzle it out! But then again, I'm not a highly paid Creative Person. Such is the life of a proofreader, the silent red-pencil cry in the creative wilderness ...

That is frustrating! Hang in there.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well. I am feeling under the weather so stayed home. There is a bit of a breeze coming in the window right now so it is comfortable. I think a nap is definitely in order, though. Hopefully I will dream of Christmas!

Be MERRY!

I hope you are feeling much better.

Somehow I KNEW you would comment on this post!

:) Is Made a secret racecar driver and I didn't know.....

Ryan & all Halloween lovers, they also had some cute little Halloween villages at JoAnn's. Much more whimsical than Spooky Town, really fun!

May go back for one or two..

I about flew out my seat this morning when I saw this and then remembered I do not live anywhere near there! Recently I thought of pulling out a couple of my christmas village houses to create a Halloween scene using cob web, spiders etc. I did not know Halloween villages existed! I really really want one!!!!!!!! This looks so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! I also want a tree too!

and me!

Road trip!

Pick me up on the way......I'm only a slight detour across the ocean but I'm sure you can manage.........

Hope Anna is better soon!

Has anyone heard about the Hallmark Christmas season this year like the scheduling or anything? I always forget when they start. Usually mid November IIRC. I am nuts about that channel that and the AMC channel at Halloween. The AMC channel is extremely hard to predict though one year is good then the next is complete crap.(excuse the language) Hopefully they have a good lineup and the Hallmark channel never lets met down. From the start of the season except for my games on Sunday I watch Hallmark from beginning to end and the thing I love is they play them until Jan 2. The holidays should never end on the 26th!

Unfortunatley I don't get the Hallmark channel here but one of channels Movies24 converts to Christmas24 from November till first week of January. I am so anxious for it, I have it on all day even if I'm not watching lol! It's all hallmark and ABC christmas TV movies so very similiar to yours.

Gotta rustle up some din-din for myself (they're making Mr. work late again), then get to work on some paperwork that entails summarizing through two years' worth of correspondence and e-mails pertaining to a legal matter. Talk about killing an evening.

I hope you are not to tired this morning after sorting through all your paperwork. Goodluck with the legal matter, fingers crossed it goes in your favour.

Hi everyone! How is everything? My notebook broke down....and I hate typing long messages on the smartphone.
Lots of typos and and and.....that s why I did not post the last few days.
I gotta find somebody to look at it....and if it cannot be fixed....need to get a new one.
