UGH!! Try to keep that on your side of the border, 'Star ...

My goodness. I agree with MerryCarey, please don't let that thing cross the border!

I hate those things!

You can keep that spider up there with you. YUCK!
hate to tell you this, but this critter is more common in the states than it is here! LOL
At least it is harmless, to us that is.

what a wonderful find!

Good first 'Bers morning,

I slept well last night, I didn't even hear the thunderstorm that rumbled through last night. My told me about it when I woke up. My wife also has broken out her Christmas Cookie cookbook and is going to start her yearly Fall cookie sampling when she tries out new recipes that will go best for our holiday celebration. We have some errands to do and then relax for an easy day.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday.
if she needs help with the tasting let me know!

Good Morning .... enjoying this first day of the "BER" season with coffee and a french toast casserole that I made for breakfast. We have friends coming over for dinner tonight so I will be busy this afternoon cooking.
Have a great day and enjoy this first day of the BER season!
not sure I would like coffee in a french toast casserole, not being a fan of it, can it be made without the coffee?
Have fun with your company

Good morning, everyone! How are you all? I am well. Welcome to the 'ber months!!! What are you all up to? I'm relaxing with my kids this morning. DH had to go into work for a little bit and give a little bit of his time for a motorcycle run, that they're doing. He should be back soon.

What are your plans for today? I don't think we will do too much. I go back to work tonight. Tonight is considered my holiday, so at least I will get time and half for doing it!

Tomorrow, I will sleep some and then in the afternoon, we will head to our neighbor's house, for a Labor Day picnic. They're supposed to be having a big party, so it sounds like it will be a good time. I'm going to make my buffalo chicken dip (it always goes over well!) and chocolate chip cookies.

Well, I am off to try to get caught up some here and then get some housework done here. We may run out to my parents later on too - to get cornstalks down, that way we can decorate for fall later on in the week.

Have a great day. I'll be back later. Talk to you all later on. God Bless and keep smiling!
I have been on here for awhile between cooking and cleaning, just enjoying catching up on all the news.

A tremendous thunderstorm rolled through here this morning ... actually, instead of rolling, it sat on us for about an hour. After it went, the electricity went out for about 15 minutes, but we seem to be okay now. We couldn't do anything while the power was out, so we're just lying around.

No big plans for today. That's okay, because the weather wouldn't cooperate anyway!
LOL, just picturing you being sat on by a storm! When I was at work last week the power flashed off and everyone in the store groaned, but it went back on again real fast. Our front end manager came running around the corner wanting to know if the tilsl went down and much relieved to hear they had not.
Days with no plans can be so relaxing!

In the South, at least where I am from, this was also called a "writin' spider." Whenever we saw one, we would cover our mouths to keep the spider from seeing our teeth. According to the "old wives' tale," if this spider saw your teeth, it would write your name in its web, and you would die! If you look at the web, you will notice the zigzag line. Kids thought this was evidence of the spider trying to write names in the web. I am sure we kids looked funny standing around looking at this spider and its web with our mouths covered. Even to this day, I am tempted to cover my mouth when I see one!!!
that is so cool, I never heard of that before, but then this is the first time I have ever seen this spider too. May I share this on my Facebook page?

Hey, hey, hey!

Holy smokes! It's so hot!

How's everybody doing this weekend? I'm doing better....yesterday I took 120 kids to Six Flags to celebrate academic achievement and it's a long day. Six Flags is about 6 hours away from us, so leaving at 5:00 am and getting home around 11:00 pm is a long day. Plus, we were walking around on that pavement and it was 100 degrees....mix those two together and it gets even hotter than that.

Came home last night and was in the middle of posting and fell asleep. I was wore out.

Today, work in the baby room. No new news....we had an appointment Friday and the Dr. said the baby was turned and ready....all we are waiting on is the Little Bambina to be ready....

OH, by the way.....Welcome to the Bers'....
wow, that is a long long day! We have a park like that only and 1 1/2 from here and I have taken many busloads of kids there. What time did you get home?

So exciting waiting for the arrival of a new baby!

Goodnight, MMC!

You have a nice day, too, Victoria! What are your plans for today? Tomorrow, for us US residents, it will be a holiday for us--Labor Day. Last year, I would have been eager for any and all vacation/holidays. Since I retired earlier this year, every day is a holiday for me, LOL!!!
for us here in Canada too eh!
