We are definitely into fall here, which is really weird since we normally don't see fall until the end of October. The wind has been blowing HARD for at least two days--I don't like that part, especially when I have had my hair done, LOL!!! Take care, everyone!

Good evening, MMC!

I have been catching up on the Countdown as I go about working around the house - making room for stock and getting the mini heater cleaned for use. Spent more time looking for a Phillips screwdriver than cleaning - funny how there is never one around when needed! cheesy

Palmer is terrified of my new, extremely noisy, steam spewing coffeepot - I may have to switch permanently to tea. She spent over two and half hours hiding under the bed and another two hours running at the slightest noise. Thankfully she is now snoozing on her box under my desk chair. Poor cat! She was so happy to see me when I got home last night. I didn't stay up late as I had a migraine. Cleaned up a few things and put some groceries away and then I crashed at around 9 last night. She wanted to play so bad. At least today I found the mother lode of jingle balls - 10 of them, most of which were behind the chair, again. Her favorite spot to stash them.

I have several store-related tasks I need to finish tonight so I will bid all of you a good night!

That reminds me of something I forgot to report the other day. One of the perks of working at an advertising agency: we did a pitch (a presentation to convince a client to use us) for a local frozen-yogurt brand, and they must have liked it, because the next day they showed up with free samples for everyone. And it was VERY good---I had a cup of chocolate-coconut! This sort of thing doesn't happen all that often, but it's fun when it does.

very nice! It would have made more sence for them to give you this before you wrote a jingle for them , but this is nice too!

It has been a long day here, I am up later than I should be. I am stressing out about my inventory tomorrow, I don't have my strongest people on, and one of them needs to be "babysat" to be sure he gets the work done, and I don't have that type of time tomorrow. Then I have to back for 6am on Sat. morning to enter the final numbers. Wish me luck, please.
I did pick up the DVD The Legend of Smurfy Hollow to watch during the Halloween season, so we have that to look forward to and a week from tonight the Bruins start up. Wooohooo!!!

I popped in to wish everyone a good day! I'm helping to host 'World's biggest coffee morning' for 'Macmillan Cancer Support' in the campus today so I'm leaving a way earlier than my lecture starts. We did quite well last year but we do hope for even better donations this year so fingers crossed.

@Seawaters= you are right! According to the weather channel Northern California is at peak fall color right now. I thought that was way early! We are still not at peak but close.while just north of us in Idaho they are no where near peak. I guess it all boils down to elevation!

Hello again! I forgot to mention it's going to be a great football weekend again! I know a lot of folks here watch Pro but im hooked on College. Especially my Ga bulldogs! They play LSU this weekend so It will be a nail biter. Next week they are playing Tennessee and that will be one also! After that I think it's Missouri then after that it's game of the season... the game that usually makes fights break out in the stands and parking lot..the GA/FL game is always played around Halloween. I went to one when I lived in Ga and said I would never go back because the tension and well hate is too much. Folks get drunk and end up fighting over a silly game. It will be just as fun to watch in my living room!! I can't wait! Well I hope everyone's team wins this weekend!

Come on Dawgs and beat LSU! The Oklahoma Sooners are in South Bend tomorrow to battle the Fighting Irish. Can't wait...very good football week!

Just stopping in for a quick hello. I will shortly be en route to Leominster, MA, as we are staying there for two nights while competing in the Northeast Regional championships in Devens, MA. Devens is a small town situated around an old military barracks, so there is only one hotel. We attempted to book a little late. The option was $170 per night to walk to the fields or $70 per night to drive 10 minutes. I think that's an easy option.

Anyway, signs of Christmas are popping up everywhere! Although I have yet to have the opportunity to search Ottawa, I hope to be able to do a bit of early Christmas exploration wherever we may go today. My fingers are crossed!

I have a few things left to get ready. I should probably get on that. Hopefully I have time to post before heading to the fields tomorrow, but I cannot guarantee. We start playing at 8:30 and thus have to be there for 7:30. Everything is going to be quite rushed.

Good early morning friends!!! I mean EARLY morning. whew tonight was my turn with Jordan his ear is still giving him fits at night. so I have been up since about 230am,I decided just to stay up until work time. it's Friday thank heavens! MY b-I-l and s-I-l is coming tomorrow for the week. They came to see the Mountains and the leaves change as next week is suppose to be peak week. Anyhow not much else to report this morning except the weather here is getting cold but we still have not turned on our heat. This morning it's 41F and in the house it's 69F so we are teetering right on the edge and if it were up to me(hehe funny I know) I would have already turned it on a few minutes! Well I hope everyone has a great morning! I will be checking in all day!

Morning, MMC!

This is going to be a quick post because I am super rushed (what else is new?) lol! I have to shower, straighten my hair, put on makeup, and get out of the door within an hour and a half. I decided to make an appointment with my dermatologist for the mole that my surgeon spotted on my arm and thought was suspicious. I am almost 100% sure that they are going to cut it off. While I am there I asked for a full body check just to make sure that I am not missing anything else that is pre-cancerous.

I'm a little nervous, of course, but I don't think it will be too bad. I'm not a fan of needles but I have been stuck so much lately that I'm kind of used to it.

I'll let you know how my appointment goes although I won't know much until my biopsy results come back.

I have had that hurdle about being shy about taking pictures in stores, first because most stores forbid it, and second, when I worked in the pricing office of a retail store I had to be a "spy" shopper and use a small handheld computer to scan UPC codes and record their prices. Needless to say I got caught doing it sometimes and thrown out of those stores. It was always such an embarrassing and uncomfortable feeling to be caught.

I always feel like I have to "sneak" a picture in too!! Glad I'm not the only one! :lol: But I sure do love all the pics!!! I'll "sneak" some when I can!!!

Our Buckeyes have the night game tomorrow...we will be putting it on the big screen at the lake & build a big ol fire! CAN'T WAIT!! BIG 10 opener against Wisconsin!!! We tried to get tickets for the game, but cheapest we could find were $139 each! EEK! Not worth that!!!
