Been another busy day at work. We had the insurance man in here & my boss announced that he is no longer going to cover insurance (we all knew that already, but... he made it official & gave the guys thier options.) I have never had insurance through here - mine is through my hubby. Most the guys are happy about it b/c they can get better inusrance through their spouses now - but the single guy & the guy who can't get it through his wife isn't too thrilled! What a pain!

Anyway - it's Friday...looking fwd to getting out of here at noon. It is an absolutely gorgeous day out there!!! Can't wait to be out in it!

Good evening, MMC!

I have been catching up on the Countdown as I go about working around the house - making room for stock and getting the mini heater cleaned for use. Spent more time looking for a Phillips screwdriver than cleaning - funny how there is never one around when needed! cheesy

Palmer is terrified of my new, extremely noisy, steam spewing coffeepot - I may have to switch permanently to tea. She spent over two and half hours hiding under the bed and another two hours running at the slightest noise. Thankfully she is now snoozing on her box under my desk chair. Poor cat! She was so happy to see me when I got home last night. I didn't stay up late as I had a migraine. Cleaned up a few things and put some groceries away and then I crashed at around 9 last night. She wanted to play so bad. At least today I found the mother lode of jingle balls - 10 of them, most of which were behind the chair, again. Her favorite spot to stash them.

I have several store-related tasks I need to finish tonight so I will bid all of you a good night!

Hey again! Today is kinda busy so I can't check in as much but I am tryin! Things will really calm down after Monday and September ends!!! The holidays are getting so close I can taste it! Meanwhile Brandi is at home getting ready for our company that is flying in tomorrow afternoon. Jordan seems to be getting better it's just at night he gets fussy I wonder if something else is making him get us up and bring him to our room??? he is so close to 2 now I am worried about potty training him...what an ordeal I bet that is going to be oh well I better get back to work have a good day everyone!

Remember...the best advice I can give you...sleep when the baby sleeps and leave the mess. It will still be there when you go back to it! If someone offers to help you, take it!! Congrats again!

I popped in to wish everyone a good day! I'm helping to host 'World's biggest coffee morning' for 'Macmillan Cancer Support' in the campus today so I'm leaving a way earlier than my lecture starts. We did quite well last year but we do hope for even better donations this year so fingers crossed.

Is Crossing Lines only where you live? Hubby and I love many crime series that are on TV in our area. Congratulations on the Bible quiz win. I love those!

I think all of us feel the same about MMC. I used to think I was the only one that loved Christmas as much as I do! It is so nice to be able to talk to people each day of the week who are of like minds!

Snow sounds so wonderful to me! I hope we get some this year!

Thank god it's friday! I'm soooo tired.

We had our church home group meeting last night and did a bible quiz. It was sooo funny and I'm still shocked that I won the game. Never thought that I would be able to answer so many questions.

After the home group meeting, I watched the last episode of the first "Crossing Lines" season. They left with sooo many cliffhanger it's not fair. Now I have to wait till next year to know if all member of the team will survive. By the way this is my crime series discovery of the year.




I know how you feel. That's the way I feel here. In my country people usually only think about christmas (and talk about it) around mid november. So it is great to have a place where christmas fans can talk about chrismas all year round.



Oh, Christmasstar we knew you are special way before your doctor said it! I guess this color blindness can really be inconvient. I hope you'll find a way to deal with it. Could it be, that your children will get this color blindness as well?



The end of the month is very busy time in my company, too. Usually I have to deal with customer who can't or won't understand that our prices change each month. Besides those price changes and changing products takes sooo much time. Therfore I know how you feel. I hope your able to finish all in time.

Yes, it was very hilarious. It always is on a friday. Most of my co workers are males. Their way of speaking and the topics are often quite suggestively. I got used to it, but in the beginning I was a bit shocked. Guess I was too innocent ;-)

Your international club sounds great! I hope you meet many new friends there.



I love windy weather. That is one of the things I look forward to in fall.

Good early morning friends!!! I mean EARLY morning. whew tonight was my turn with Jordan his ear is still giving him fits at night. so I have been up since about 230am,I decided just to stay up until work time. it's Friday thank heavens! MY b-I-l and s-I-l is coming tomorrow for the week. They came to see the Mountains and the leaves change as next week is suppose to be peak week. Anyhow not much else to report this morning except the weather here is getting cold but we still have not turned on our heat. This morning it's 41F and in the house it's 69F so we are teetering right on the edge and if it were up to me(hehe funny I know) I would have already turned it on a few minutes! Well I hope everyone has a great morning! I will be checking in all day!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends! TGIF!

Part of Jacob's 16th birthday was a trip to Six Flags Over Georgia, so we're taking him and his best friend there tomorrow. This Saturday is the first day of "Fright Fest", with walking monsters around the park. At 6pm, they'll release a bunch of zombies into the park, too. Atlanta is about 3.5 hours from here, so it'll be a lonnnng day tomorrow.

Elizabeth is staying here with her best friend (who also takes ballet and is in the Nutcracker, too) to go to Nutcracker practice in Statesboro, then to see a play in Savannah.

It feels weird being in Atlanta while my little honeybee is in Statesboro and Savannah, but such is the life of a family with growing kids. Look out, Coach!

I have lived in northern California for over 40 years and have never seen fall this early!!! I LOVE it though! Right now I am sitting here with a long-sleeve shirt on and my sweatshirt jacket. My hands are a little chilly, but I love it just the same!

@Seawaters= you are right! According to the weather channel Northern California is at peak fall color right now. I thought that was way early! We are still not at peak but close.while just north of us in Idaho they are no where near peak. I guess it all boils down to elevation!
