Prayers for your mom, Victoria, and a calming spirit for you. I know how it feels to want to be with your mom to help yet needing to be elsewhere. Take care of yourself and get the rest you need.

Well, uni sometimes feels like a full-time job. I don't have that many lectures in a week but the workload outside the classroom is quite big although manageable. :] As for the blood donation, your case is very inspiring. I hope it wasn't my last time donating blood too.

Good evening! How is everyone's week going? I'm happy it's Friday. I'm now going through my last (for now) assessment which I'm submitting tomorrow. Yay for that. Also, I finally got in touch with my mum. I haven't heard from her for a week which is quite unusual. When I caught her on Skype, she told me she has been feeling very bad lately. She got one of those attacks with high blood pressure and very high pace of heart beats few days ago. Luckily, my dad was at home that night so he took my mum to the emergency department. She has skipped her job for two days now and been visiting different doctors to get many tests done. Her heart, liver and pancreas seem to be okey. Doctors found renal calculus (I guess this is the name in English). Fortunately, they are small enough to be washed out by drinking lots of filtered water and lingonberry tea. Anyway, doctors don't think that current renal state was the reason for those attacks so my mum is going to have her stomach and intestine biopsy done on 3rd December.

I'm sorry for quite a long post. I'm very worried about my mum and I wish I could be at home right now. I would very appreciate if you guys kept her in your prayers for nothing bad and more serious to happen. I would be incredibly thankful for that to you all.

Best wishes to all, and always make you health your top priority.

Merry Morning!! I never got the chance to come back on here yesterday. I have only just quickly skimmed through the posts.

MCEKECA I hope Camden is released soon.

VICTORIA I'm praying for your mum, I know how you must feel. My mum is very far away (14hour flight) and I live in constant worry and fear that I can't get to her if she needs me.

MADE - Praying for your mum, I hope she is doing much better.

Everyone else , praying for all of you and sending best wishes as usual.

Well I have finished my big jobs around the house. I have de cluttered and re organised every room, wardrobe and cupboard and finished all my DIY and deep cleaning! I have put out a couple knick knacks through the week but bigger decorations will go out tonight!!! The tree will go up next Saturday!

No work for me this weekend so we have a festive filled couple of days planned. Tomorrow we are heading down to the Christmas market and a Christmas festival in the city. Sunday we will be visiting another Christmas festival where there will be reindeer!!!! Other than that lots of music, Christmas movies, decorating and food. I am really looking forward to our time together to recharge and get into the Christmas spirit!!

What are you all up to this weekend.

Well I'm off to get some tidying done and perhaps nip to the shops. Lovely bright, dry but bitterly cold day here today. Meant to be like this all weekend to so perfect weather for our outing!

Long day today. Laundry was done this morning and then there was an estate sale to go to later - found a few things for the store, one of which requires a lot of cleaning which is probably why I found it at such a good price. Returned calls when I got home, did some chores and then took a walk around outside with the cats. I took Shaggy out some special peanut butter dog bones - he spazzes whenever he sees them and then when he eats it sounds like he is saying yum, yum over and over. Palmer wants me to go read so she can sleep on my lap - I think my knee could use a bit of warming!

MERRY dreams!

Good news on Camden! Thanks for the update!

Good evening,

One more week to go, and the mad turkey dash is nearly done. Lousy day as they all have been lately.

Watching an old Christmas movie, "It Happened On 5th Avenue," such a great and underrated movie.

I also bought an "ugly Christmas sweater," at Kohls.com, I don't want to lose the ugly sweater contest this year.

Here is what it looks like:
picture.php

It is more like a long sleeve tee. I like it, just add it to my Christmas shirt collection. I'll post a pic of myself wearing it at some point.

I have to head to bed, I overslept this morning, those turkeys are wiping me out.

Good night, everyone.

I love it!

LOL, now I know what to get my son for Christmas!

Good morning my Christmas friends,

I had a really nice day yesterday at work (we had a pot luck) and it was very good and fun. Everything was great until I got home. I walked in the front door and my wife was standing there with all the mail I had stuck in the mailbox at 5:30am for the postman to pick up that day, all torn open and all the checks that I had written were stolen out of them. There were birthday cards for my nephew in there, bills, and prescriptions. Who ever did it, was not interested in them, just the personal checks. So, I filed a police report, called on bank last night to stop payment on a check (which cost me $35.00 dollars to do so). And today I have to call or go to another bank to stop payment on those checks...:-?

I am peeeeed-off beyond all means...If I could have gotten my hands on the little buggers that did that, I would probably be in jail myself right now. Now, I cannot ever put any more mail in my mailbox for the postman to pick up. Come to find out late last night from a neighbor, the very same thing happened to some people in an adjacent community near-by to us last week, and their checks that they wrote to utility companies were tampered with/ altered and cashed at a Wells Fargo in Virginia. Great!!!!

It's always something isn't it??? It's probably someone that doesn't believe in Christmas either.... two words come to mind...Smith & Wesson~

Sorry to hear that, friend. Wouldn't it be easier for these people just to go get a job? I'm always shocked at what criminals do for a dishonest dollar...all the hassle and not to mention they probably live looking over their shoulder. Just go get a job!

Anyway, hope it turns out good.

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 10 *****

Good Morning, Everyone.

My, My.
Would you look at that?
DOUBLE DIGITS into Christmas Season 2013 already.
(How can the Season be slipping by so fast?)

And how can these count numbers be true?
Days to Thanksgiving: 6 (UNDER one week away!)
Days to Christmas Day: 33 (Three days to the one month mark!)
Better get those Holiday plans up and running!

Still chilly but not really cold -- yet!
That's coming by Sunday when our lows are supposed to get down into the mid 20's.
(Hey! That's January weather!)
Currently, our back door thermometer reveals 49 degrees here this morning.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
And may your Weekend commence beautifully this afternoon.

that is awful, hope you get them all cancelled before these people cash them. I am so glad I switched to doing all my bill payments electronically. I have a few checks still but cannot remember the last time I used one.
Do the police have any idea who may have done this? Hope they get caught

very foggy morning here, all school bus's on 2 hour delay.
Off to work in a few minutes. Tonight and tomorrow working on the gingerbread house stuff. My "water" has a kitty footprint in it!! Penny, stay off the table!
Have a great day everyone.
