Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be hot and humid today with some rain showers hanging around. That is basically the forecast for every day this week. Blah!! I've already got my chores done for today. So now I can hopefully spend some time working on the projects that I just can't seem to get going. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good Monday morning my Christmas friends! :

Hope everyone had a great weekend! As always - it went too fast! I'm sleepy today! Our contractors were at our house this morning measuring everything & they were going to order all the material from the lumber yard...so as soon as the lumber is delivered, they can start! Cabinets are coming tomorrow & Wednesday. We went to see the cabinets Friday - I was very impressed. They did a great job!!!

Hope you are all having a good Monday! I'm going to try to read some posts!

[Holiday]

Oh, my word, HMG! How heavenly! We will have a big island like that that is across from our stove, too. We will have a regular sink there, and the dishwasher will also be housed in the island. Hubby already has the "outline" for the pony wall. On the back of the island (where your baby is [your cat]), we will have about eight evenly-spaced outlets for all the crockpots I use during Thanksgiving. The sink will be on the south side and the TV will be on the north wall--I'll be able to watch TV while I use the sink. The size of the room will require a 70- or 80-inch screen. We already have the hood for the stove, and it is huge! We will also have the red knobs, so We have been slowly adding equipment and "stuff" in red. The pendulum lights have some red and turquoise in them (sort of a retro/60s/modern cut glass look). The appliances will be stainless. We have already bought some red small appliances such as toaster, can opener, crockpot, and some cooking utensils in red. We plan on having subway tile as the back splash. The stove will have a stainless back splash. Because of the placement of the sink, we decided against having a water spigot at the stove. We've never had one, so I don't think we will miss it! We are still making decisions on counter top colors and floor coverings--one day at a time! I know how hard your husband is working and understand the time issue! Add to that the monsoons and other weather-related problems. I sure hope these problems don't add any more stress! It seems that remodeling has its own set of problems and stress! Take care and BOTH of you get some rest!

Good Morning, all! My golly, where have the last two weeks gone? I can't believe we're more than halfway through August. I'm so happy; September is on it's merry way, and with it comes FALL!!! I can't wait for the pumpkin-spice-everythings to arrive so I can enjoy them again.

It's just TOO nice outside today to work! (But I'll be at the office working, just the same.) Mid-70s and sunny. Not much like August, but that's okay!

I enjoyed my Friday off so much that I'm scheduling a Friday off in September to look forward to. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a vacation day until mid-October. I'm starting to think about what days to take off between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Might be able to take off the entire Christmas week this year! I don't think I've ever been able to do that my entire working life.

We have the same forecast today, it's wonderful!
I hope you get that week off for Christmas, that would be awesome!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a hot & muggy morning, and I finally kicked myself in the behind (metaphorically-speaking, of course), and re-started my exercise regimen. Now I'm sore all over, but I feel better about myself.

I'll be travelling for a couple days this week, up near Charlotte, NC (Close to Crown's neck of the woods) to call on some customers. I'm hoping to get a little relief from the stifling humidity down here!
