First, let me say I hope this finds everyone doing well. It has been so hectic here that there has been little time to slow down. But it's a good busy and I'm thankful that I have been.

I've got a confession to make and I hope you all don't think I'm being self-centered. I have not been reading everyone's posts. With a little one in the house, time is such as precious commodity that when I get it, I'm usually picking up, working, cleaning, cooking, etc. I've just been doing a lot of spot reading and it probably going to be that way most of the time. I say that because I don't know what's going on in everyone's life and I don't want to come across as a self-centered jerk.

I have no intentions of not coming here, but I've got to keep the main thing the main thing. Right now, the Little Bambina is the main thing. I know, I know, I didn't have to put this and I'm not trying to draw attention to myself, but I just want everyone to know why there hasn't been as much of me around.

Today, we are going to our first little birthday party. I'm really excited about it. I got the little girl a glove! Hey, we gotta start exposing the Little Bambina's teammates to the sport. We can't wait 6 or 7 years! Kidding...not about getting her the glove though!

After that, it's home to make some cheese dip and watch the games. I'm really excited about the Patriots and Broncos game...I played QB and I love the position. That is the position I coached when I was coaching, also. Those two are the ones you want to be like. Fundamentals are awesome, leadership, and determination to win like no other....

Anyways, I'm off. I will check back in this afternoon during the games. Good luck to the fans of all the teams...

I always enjoy reading your posts Ballcoach, I'm glad you pop in whenever you can!
Have fun at the party!

Good afternoon,

Still feeling pretty yucky, just relaxing watching the Bruins vs Blackhawks game. Just like last springs Stanley Cup Final, it has been an exciting game. I plan on taking it easy today, I will go through the ads in the Sunday paper, but it is not the same without the Christmas ads. But they will start advertising for Christmas decorations in the coupon sections or Parade magazine soon. A number of years ago I ordered a Santa Claus from Thomas Kinkade in January of 2004 I believe.

I think I may go take a nap soon.

Talk to you throughout the day.

I love the Thomas Kinkade Santa. All of your Santas are beautiful.
I hope you have a good nap and feel better soon.

Watching the Pats and Broncos. Managed to get a little Xmas shopping done online between snaps. Dual charging docks for both the boys, for their iPhones and iPads. And a Williams and Sonoma blue tooth speaker for the wife's kitchen :)

Holy Smoke! Ive been so busy I missed our first milestone. I mean I didn't miss it I missed posting about it. And already over 5000 posts! Got all my honey dos done yesterday. So we are just going to relax and watch the championship games. Have a Great Day MMC!

Good afternoon!

Hope everyone is doing well today, and staying warm! Or cool for some of our friends like JBJ & Virginia.

I just went to Walmart to pick up some cold medicines, vitamins, and preventative things like Airborne & EmergenC. I also got the chicken noodle soup, crackers, and sprite. Think we are set!

Thanks for the get well wishes & prayers, Adrian says thanks as well!

I also felt it necessary to check the Christmas clearance, and am I ever glad I did!

Here is what I picked up:

5 Christmas shirts, tinsel, a Santa ornament, chocolate nut mix, and candy canes, all for $12.00!
That lifted my spirits!

I'm going to lay down for a bit, but sending lots of love to you all~
So blessed to have your friendships, Christmas family.

xx

Great finds my friend!!! FUN!!! Hope you are both feeling better now!

On the jar, is the website: SugarplumJam.com but that site doesn't "work." On the following page, about 3/4 of the way down, you can see what the jars look like.

Laid back Christmases are nice! I'm currently looking up what Christmas Jam is - the name is intriguing! Gift cards to Red Lobster are nice gifts - enjoy! I'm glad you enjoy the Palmer tales! cheesy

Very well said, MC!

It goes without saying that no apologies are necessary. Your family at home always comes first, and that's the way it should be. We would all feel terrible if it were otherwise---not one of us would steal a moment of your time you spend with Bambina. You and your family will always be a part of our family here, and we'll always cherish your visits and your news.

I'm glad you slept better. Praying that you are better soon and that the right combination of meds will be found to help Maggie! How are Molly and Bentley? Have a MERRY Sunday!

Thank you Meceka!
Thankfully Molly has been well. I'm telling you if it's not one it's the other lately!
Bentley is completely bonkers. He makes me crazy but he also makes me laugh every day!
I hope you are having a happy Sunday, enjoy the rest of the day!

Thanks sugar! Decision made!!!! We own 1/2 (down payment) of a soft coated wheaten terrier. HA! We can pick her up Feb. 25'ish. Sooooo excited!! I really hope Buster will hang around & be ok being a 2 dog family! Today is a good day for him - yesterday was not so good! Poor guy!

We have not agreed on a name yet - suggestions welcome! In the running are Lucy, Gracie, Sophie, Scarlett.
Less likely but still in the running Stella, Bella.
I have grown fond of Gladys "Gladdie" - hubby says NO! We will come up with something!

We go back in 2-3 weeks when the develop a personality to pick which female we want.

Puppies:

And when she gets bigger, she will look like this: (this is our lake neighbors 8 month old Wheaten she sent me a pic of this morning)

Hit the send button too soon...

And this is our other neighbors adult Wheaten:

And one more of the pup just because:

So you can imagine, we are pretty darn excited. Still gives me a belly ache thinking about 1) having to say goodbye to Buster OR (hopefully) #2) how Buster will deal with a pup in the house. Regardless, SCWT are hard to find & I can't imagine going for months without a dog in our house, so a decision had to be made. Hopefully we made the right one. Soooo excited! Yesterday I ordered a cage, toys, food/water bowl, etc on Amazon. I need to stop there otherwise everything will be done & I will have nothing left to do to prepare for puppy & then I'll go crazy waiting. Ha ha ha!

I'm off to read more posts!!!! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!!!Sunny & super windy & COLD here!!!! Glad to be inside!!!

You're welcome! I'm glad that Molly has been well! I think you are right, Bentley and Palmer are two peas in a pod! A MERRY Sunday to you and yours!

started work on a cake for a friend. It is march before needed but this one is going to have a lot of flowers on it and since sugar flowers will last years once dry I thought I would just make a bit at a time and save the rush of last minute decorations. Plus this party is going to be at a very expensive and classy place so I want to show off! Is that wrong?

 Not at all! Hope it turns out well!!!

Congratulations on getting a new fur kid! Not knowing the personality of the puppy you are getting it is hard to come up with a possible name. Having a cat named Lucy Fur, I'd go with Lucy out of your possibilities. cheesy Cloudy and calm at the moment. Extremely cold here, too. Stay warm and safe! Buster is in my prayers, as are you, Holiday!

It is hard on everyone when a family member is deployed, but, believe it or not, it can also be an exciting time. When my (ex) husband would go overseas, I used my time to plan surprises for him when he returned. For example, I crocheted a long open weave skirt to wear for him, planned menus with his favorite foods for the days after his return, set up hair and nail appointments for the day just before he returned, planned play dates with the kids, set up some quiet time for myself to read and do some Bible study to pray for him and all his friends serving with him, tried out new recipes to see if they would be something he might enjoy, took lots of pictures of the kids, wrote lots of letters (at least every day), etc. This really helped to pass the time and to concentrate on something positive as we waited for his return. Nowadays, with Skype and other services, deployment might be easier to stay in touch, not quite, by maybe. I have to tell you, though, that my ex really surprised me by coming home a day earlier that he said was his return date. Imagine my surprise when he showed up on the porch about 3:00 a.m.!
love to hear stories like this. Thank you for sharing.

I have chores to take care of so I had best get going. May your dreams be MERRY and the coming week blessed!
