There are 97 houses along the walking route in my neighborhood here in Raleigh.
As of this afternoon's walk, I'm pleased to report that 18 of them still have Christmas decorations up!
Keeping track of the decorations on my walk each year helps make January more tolerable.
(And sometimes February, too!)
Good evening, Christmas family!!
Hope you've been having a wonderful Sunday~
Work went well, and I had a fun lunch with my friend, Amy.
Adrian & I are watching the game- Go Seahawks!!
And having some goodies. We have plenty of appetizers & drinks, c'mon over!!

I have chores to take care of so I had best get going. May your dreams be MERRY and the coming week blessed!
thanks, now if only I could remember where that was!
I am using a medium leaf cutter from another set, not as good as the missing one, but will do.
First, let me say I hope this finds everyone doing well. It has been so hectic here that there has been little time to slow down. But it's a good busy and I'm thankful that I have been.
I've got a confession to make and I hope you all don't think I'm being self-centered. I have not been reading everyone's posts. With a little one in the house, time is such as precious commodity that when I get it, I'm usually picking up, working, cleaning, cooking, etc. I've just been doing a lot of spot reading and it probably going to be that way most of the time. I say that because I don't know what's going on in everyone's life and I don't want to come across as a self-centered jerk.
I have no intentions of not coming here, but I've got to keep the main thing the main thing. Right now, the Little Bambina is the main thing. I know, I know, I didn't have to put this and I'm not trying to draw attention to myself, but I just want everyone to know why there hasn't been as much of me around.
Today, we are going to our first little birthday party. I'm really excited about it. I got the little girl a glove! Hey, we gotta start exposing the Little Bambina's teammates to the sport. We can't wait 6 or 7 years! Kidding...not about getting her the glove though!
After that, it's home to make some cheese dip and watch the games. I'm really excited about the Patriots and Broncos game...I played QB and I love the position. That is the position I coached when I was coaching, also. Those two are the ones you want to be like. Fundamentals are awesome, leadership, and determination to win like no other....
Anyways, I'm off. I will check back in this afternoon during the games. Good luck to the fans of all the teams...
You are getting a lot of snow this year! Our temperatures are going to drop back in to the teens over the next week. I'm hoping we'll get some more snow soon.
Enjoy the football Made, have a great day!
we always have the pet at home for a time first before naming, we find the name just comes one day...
Thanks sugar! Decision made!!!! We own 1/2 (down payment) of a soft coated wheaten terrier. HA! We can pick her up Feb. 25'ish. Sooooo excited!! I really hope Buster will hang around & be ok being a 2 dog family! Today is a good day for him - yesterday was not so good! Poor guy!
We have not agreed on a name yet - suggestions welcome! In the running are Lucy, Gracie, Sophie, Scarlett.
Less likely but still in the running Stella, Bella.
I have grown fond of Gladys "Gladdie" - hubby says NO! We will come up with something!
We go back in 2-3 weeks when the develop a personality to pick which female we want.
Puppies:
And when she gets bigger, she will look like this: (this is our lake neighbors 8 month old Wheaten she sent me a pic of this morning)

Pocket because when we got her she was shaking all over and I put her in my pocket to comfort and warm her.
Penny because she had all these copper spots on her fur.
Thanks, HmG!!
How are you & Maggie doing?

Aww, they all sound sweet!
I would love to have Harlowe meet a friendly cat, one that likes dogs. The only ones that she has seen in person are stray cats that used to walk our walls in the backyard (Vegas). They used to hiss at her, and she would bark at them, lol.
I feel awful, I can't wait until this is gone!
I just gave Maggie her cough medicine and tucked her in. I'll be joining her soon, hoping for a good night!
xo
Okay, I've caught up on reading the posts and will try to get back to respond after the game.
Xmas, I thought you would like this-

Our cat Sidney thinks he is a dog, he is the most loving, loyal cat I have ever met. If "his human" (JP) is in trouble he is by his side, he goes to bed with him every night. My sister in law brings her dogs over and he plays with them without a care in the world. He just enjoys life, he is such a joy to have around.
