Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hello all. Stressful day today. The kids and my wife were off today with a snow day. They did not close government offices for somer reason so I had to to work. I was in a minor fender bender but no one was hurt and very little damage was done to the cars. Roads are slick!
But it still shook me up. One of those days!

But I'm home and counting down to the weekend. I hope you all are doing great. Have a good night!

I'm so glad no one was hurt ~ hope today has been far better!

Here is the Aran Hearts afghan I finished last night. I'm very pleased with it! I think it's a wee bit smaller than gauge, though (even though I was good and made a swatch).

(Another thing I love about the sofa we got in September: it's a great place to photograph afghans!)

LC is sick, he stayed home from school today and will be again tomorrow. He had a fever of 102, poor little guy.

I am heading to sleep, it may be a rough night for sleep if he has a tough night.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Nancy had been having trouble with dizziness lately, and it was even worse yesterday. Luckily, she had an appt. scheduled for yesterday afternoon with a physical therapist to address the issue. We were both skeptical about a PT being able to help with this, but in about 30 minutes she had Nancy fixed-up! It all seems very fantastical, but it has to do with the misalignment of "crystals" in the inner ear. With a few deft motions, turning Nancy's head from left to right, everything went back to normal. Crazy, but I'll take it. As they say, when mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Lunch with my mom & brother today, then more work, work, work.

Hi all!

I have been a little busy with my little Chico. He has a heart condition and ran into some problems last week. He has been to the vet twice this week. He has made a little improvement but we just have to keep an eye on him. He goes back to the vet next week for a check up. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks!

In other news, we got some snow yesterday and might get more next week. I am so happy!

I am excited about the Olympics!!! I hope Shaun White gets another gold!!!

I am going to try and read a few post before I go finish up some chores.

TGIF! I have had a headache almost everyday for a week. I've got some stress going on this week! I think I need to go to a chiropractor. After the fall I had on NYE, I don't hurt, but I feel "jammed up". Our AA massaged my neck & shoulders today & was shocked at how tense they were!

Last night they said we might get a little snow. DD, who is 8, said, "People, I'm ready for some summer!" We've made camping reservations for Easter weekend & our summer vacation. Gotta have something to look forward to when it's cold outside!

We will be watching the Olympics today. DD is excited!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a chilly morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 5 degree's. That's actually a decent improvement over the -7 we were at a few hours ago. We should get up to the mid teen's this afternoon. I crashed hard last night. All of those days of hardly any sleep finally caught up with me and I got a solid 8 hours of sleep last night. Which for me, is a miracle. Not much going on today. Just have some more laundry to do and then I want to do some things around my bedroom. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

It is still wet outside, so no house work today. Hubby and I will be going to Chico later to order the trusses and check on the kitchen cabinets. We received four gift cards from Red Lobster, so guess where we are going for dinner! Plus, they have the Lobsterfest going on!

Yes, my daughter's friend made the luge team. He's just a teenager, one of the youngest men to ever qualify for a spot. We're super excited :-D

I am so happy for him! Are you allowed to share his name here so I can root him on? I love the Olympics and will be following the whole thing! I guess the hint will be, "he is the youngest" =)
