Well after that, I had to pull up our forcast! 57º next week Thursday & 55º next week Friday!!!! That will change.... :lol: But BRING IT ON!

Funny how I get soooo excited for snow in the forcast, but then I get sooooo excited for 57º too! Hmmmm....

50s..... man I am looking forward to that. I think we get to high 40s by Tues or Wed. This snow is insane. It's just piled so high from storm after storm. Shoveling seems like it's a daily chore now. This winter hasn't been fun.. at all! And I am a big snow lover!!!

On a happier note, I bougth candy canes at Walgreens yesterday! 15 cents for a dozen (90% off!!) Score!

Sorry you aren't having fun anymore with the snow!!!! Hopefully you will get a break soon!!! Think of all the exercise you're getting shoveling!! :smile:

Oh no ! I know you were worried about it breaking down completely. I hope something will work out. Like you say I bet this freezing temps has played it's part. Hope you slept well and feel better this morning!

Good morning!
Our school district decided to stick with the two hour delay instead of closing. I think I'm going to have to get my daughter up to go, I've let her stay home a lot so far this year. And graduation cap and gown measurements are scheduled for today, I don't want her to miss that. I tried to sleep a little bit later but I have a hard time, I'm so use to that alarm going off at 5:00 a.m. Plus Bentley bothered me until I got out of bed. He is use to getting a can of food when I wake up. I'll probably never be able to sleep in again because of him, lol. Anyway, the local colleges are all closed so at least I don't have to worry about my two older ones going anywhere. I will definitely be driving my youngest back and forth to school. Other than that, we will just be hanging out at home. I have to get my daughter to pack after school. She leaves for Florida on Saturday and hasn't done it yet.
I hope everyone stays safe, keeps warm and has a great day!!!

Stay safe out there, it is too bad they didn't cancel and make sure the students, teachers, parents and bus drivers safe.

Good Morning! THANK YOU for the anniversary wishes and for keeping us all in prayer through the extreme weather.

We made it through. I half expected to be whisked away like Dorothy and on my way to see the wizard this morning! Not much damage in our area but sadly can't say the same for others especially residents near the coast. Our trees are still in place and so is the fence! Mr Festive and I put up a new garden fence last summer all by ourselves. We weren't to sure if we did a good enough job to withstand last night but it did !!!

Another storm is expected over weekend. I have never seen anything like it !!!

How are you all ? I hope everyone is coping through. Have a pleasant day and stay safe friends.

I'll be sure to keep all those affected by the storm in my thoughts.

Ever make a grilled cheese sandwich in a waffle iron? It works pretty well!
Might not be a bad idea for lunch today. I'm working from home because we're expecting 6 to 9 inches of snow, followed by a changeover to sleet and freezing rain. Mr. drove to the train station, so I'll be worrying about his drive home tonight. It's only a few minutes to the center of town, but still I worry.

It's been a rough winter. Too many storms and record breaking low temperatures. Definitely not fun!

Thank you everyone for the prayers!!!

Chico got good/bad news. Good news - I got to bring him home and they brought the swelling down. The swelling was causing him not to be able to lay down and he was up for over 24 hours and exhausted. He is finally laying down now and asleep! The bad news is his heart has enlarged more but as long as he still has a little spunk in him and can eat we will just take it one day at a time. He does have a fantastic appetite and so alert! I am happy about that. Keep the prayers coming that he continues to feel well!

I am sorry that I haven't had time to read your daily post, I am just having a very busy day but wanted to let you all know what is going on.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! We are off to a little bit warmer start today at 0 degree's and it looks like we may finally get above freezing today for the first time in 10 days!!!!!! WooHoo!!!! The three stooges never showed up yesterday so I'll be sitting around waiting on them again today. I also got a call from my sister at 6am saying my niece had been up all night coughing and that she was bringing her in for me to watch today. So I think it's pretty safe to say, I'm going to get absolutely nothing done today. Oh well. There's always tomorrow. Well if I don't have to shovel to much since we are going to get more snow tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Sugar! Looking forward to bringing her home!!! The Tavern ended up being ok - a heating unit had overheated & blew black smoke through the whole place. So there actually never was a fire! They had everyone all worked up with all the mutual aid called in - but better to be safe than sorry!!! It's supposed to open back up today! Have a great day Sugar!

I am so sorry but I don't have time to read one thing on the forums right now. I really need some prayers and good thoughts sent my way. Chico has been dropped off at the vet and praying for good news when the vet calls back. I'm a wreck and need prayers to be strong!!!

Nice find on the candy canes, only 8 more months til they are on the shelves again. cheesy
