One of our local weathermen curled up in a ball in the corner of the weather office after looking at the newest model runs for the storm this weekend. That can't be good.

Good evening everyone and happy Friday too! I am kinda ashamed I abandoned the forum lately but the past couple of weeks were crazy at the uni! Fortunately, my two major assessments have been already submitted (I feel that scientific article went better than I had expected but I will see what grade I will get) and although I still have three more assignments to do, I expect things to go a little easier so I should be able to come here more often.
Anyway, I hope you all are doing great. I can't believe that it is first day of calender spring tomorrow! I am looking forward to spring for the reason I don't know. ^^
Best wishes to all!

I wouldn't go any longer than today, so 4-5 I would say. If there is a date on it, I never go past the date usually. I think they say it's 3-4 (I think), but I usually go one past that, as long as it is sealed up good, it looks, and smells okay.

There is also the question of whether you put it in the fridge immediately after cooking it (best case scenario) or whether you let it cool first before putting it in the fridge (this actually increases bacteria).

Going without beef is hard, but doable. I don't think I could go without soda. I don't chug gallons of the stuff by any means, but sometimes only soda will do.

Keep up your iron levels with spinach or a supplement maybe. We eat a lot of chicken and the doctor thinks that explains Mr's tiredness and low iron results... although we have lots of veg with iron just not enough for a male.

not feeling well at all today. We had to go to chico and i was uncomfortable all the way over and all the way back. I still have the bathroom "issues" and a new problem presented itself last night. It feels like it might be kidney stones or something similar. Hubby is taking me to the doctor first thing tomorrow morning (7:15), so maybe we can get this figured out. Right now, i am so nauseous; but i am also starving! I think i will see if i feel well enough to click "share" on some fb recipes. I am trying to take my mind off the pain. Ttyt

hugs

Good evening,

Slow day customer-wise at work today but the day flew by.

No word on the possible new car yet, but it really wasn't looking good last night, just hoping to be surprised at this point.

I did score something huge though. I have acquired a copy of an uncut version of "A Muppet Family Christmas." I got it on Ebay for $21, that has been my "holy grail" of Christmas DVD's for a few years now and it finally was at a reasonable price and grabbed it. I watched a few minutes of it after I opened it, and it brought back so many memories. That has made my day.

Work beckons bright & early.

Good night, everyone.

Yeah! I watched A Christmas Story for the first time on my long lunch break yesterday.... loved it!!!!!

Well my Dr finally called in a z pack and I picked up some Benadryl to help with the sleep and conjestion too. So I am hoping to get a good night rest, I went ahead a called in sick for tomorrow so I guess the weekend has started for me. Brandi fixed some great potato soup by my moms recipe and it brought back so many memories of being sick when I was a kid my mother always made that and it just makes you feel better instantly! Just wanted to tell everyone good night and I will talk to yall in the morning!

Sleep well and I hope you feel better!

Good advice ... I usually do go for a supplement if my energy drags during that time.

TGIF, my Christmas friends, and Happy Milestone Day!

I get into some of the craziest problems. This morning, after breakfast, I was sitting on the couch watching TV for a minute. I have a bad habit biting my fingernails, and while doing this I scratched my lip with a hangnail. IT WILL NOT STOP BLEEDING. The blood thinner I take certainly does it's job well. Ugh.

I have a fresh pot of coffee made, and can't find a way to drink it. LOL

Oh, the messes I get into.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Straw? No, that won't work if you have it really hot.... Hope it stopped.

Holy cow! And you're probably like us … you don't really need anymore snow this winter.

You're so right! I so much don't mind the snow, as I do this terrible cold. I feel bad for my kids, as they've really wanted to enjoy it and haven't been able to much, because it has been so cold.

Umm, yeah. Definitely not coming back to visit you this week!!!

Come on! It's just a "moderate" amount of snow. That's what the forecasters keep saying back here! LOL

One of our local news stations has started to refer to this new storm as Snowmageddon part 17. Which feels about right but is probably a little high.

History in the making!

Thinking of you. Prayers for you, friend. Keep us updated; hoping you got some answers at the doctors this morning.
