Days to the Season: 229
Days to Christmas Day: 271

And the numbers tell us that the 200-day Season Window will be cranked open in just barely over 4 weeks, but preceeding that by a day, we will reach the 1/3 Christmas Day mark.
Two Milestones in two days.

Reasonably warm yesterday but rain began falling in the early evening and continued overnight. It's still coming down lightly as I type this and is predicted to contiunue off and on all day today and perhaps tomorrow as well.
(At least it no longer feels like winter rain!)
Right now, we record 58.2 degees here on our digital thermometer.

Onward we march toward a double-day Milestone event.

Make time to mark your calendars for April 26 AND April 27 for back-to-back markers.

Those will be the 1/3 Christmas Day point on the former date and the 200-DAY SEASON WINDOW on the latter!

And what's more, both are less than a month away.

Well, happy weather days are here again!

We had our high close to 60 yesterday and we should reach near to 70 today with no rain predicted until at least Saturday.

Right now, we stand at 49 degrees here in the capital city.

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a nice day here if this first batch of rain will just move out. Then sunny and near 60 until rain storm number 2 arrives tonight. I'm getting ready to take mom to work and then meet my sister to go to the children's museum. So I'll check back in later tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Long night, had to run to Ingersol and rescue my friend. Her boyfriend was arrested for assaulting their daughter who is only 6 years old. Not the first time. He was allowed to go to work and given a restraining order to stay away from them till at least it goes to court. But the house is isolated out in the country and I am worried about her safety.
I wanted to take her to the women's shelter but she refused to go. I would have loved to bring her here but we do not have the room.
The guy needs to go to jail, he has threatened and assulted my friend too but she still thinks she can fix this. Please pray that she gains the courage to protect herself, her yet to be born baby and her daughter.

Star, what a good friend you are. Praying for them.

Merry Friday, and a merry one it is!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!!!!!!!

I have the whole weekend off and I am so excited and thankful. My last one off was in December. It's crazy to think we are almost in April! I love this time of year because there is so much to look forward to and Christmas doesn't seem so far anymore.

Clocks change on Sunday but our temps won't be spring like for another few weeks. It is cold out but it is atleast dry his morning. We are expecting a mostly mild, dry weekend. It is supposed to be around 15C !!

Everyone has got Mother's Day (this sunday for us) and Easter on their minds. The shops were filled with Easter eggs etc. It reminded me that I really must start organising !!

Don't you just love that Friday feeling! Have a great end to the week and an even better weekend everyone!!!

What a busy morning. I had to go food shopping and then I had a bunch of other errands that really couldn't wait. I'm happy to be home. I am sick and my head is pounding. I'm going to lay down for a little bit and try to get rid of my headache. Just wanted to pop in and say hello first. I didn't really get to chat this morning and I've been thinking about you all. The storm JUST HIT! I got home just in time!

I had a girls day out today with my mom and daughter. We went to the Arboretum and walked around. The sun was out and no sign of rain. Afterward we went to lunch and sat outside at the restaurant.

Now I am home and it's pouring down, thundering and lightening. Just hoping there are no tornado warnings!

I forgot to mention earlier that Snow-in-Texas and I watched Christmas Vacation last night!

Glad to hear you made it home safe! Good movie pick!!!

That's awful! Although I like watching the lightning, I would be frightened in a weather like this. I hope the storm will pass safely to you.

I love lightening too! When my kids were little we lived in an apartment that had tall radio towers behind us. Whenever it started lightening we would turn off all the lights and sit near a big sliding glass door (closed of course!) and watch the lightening hit the towers. It put on a really good show. It was great because my kids didn't fear the sound of thunder and the site of lightening because we made it fun. Of course they learned the dangers of it as well but at least the site didn't frighten them!
