Sounds like such a wonderful day! It's snowing here and laying! Boo!

This must be a regional thing. Back in Maryland, we used to say of snow that accumulated that it was "laying." When I moved to New England, I found that here they generally say it's "sticking."

It also goes for marriage too! Wayne and I cut up CONSTANTLY!!!! Every single day we are making each other laugh and I am happy for that. 10 years together and still acting like kids. Ha ha!

Sounds like me and Mr.! cheesy

Yeah, it's funny the way we all talk, depending on where we're from.

It is a beautiful place. I've been to Lancaster several times before, but have never visited for the Amish aspect. Maybe I will someday - where I lived before moving to where I lived now, there are some Mennonites, so I've got to see somewhat Amish live like, but not totally.

Back when I was a preschooler, we took some summertime day trips up into Amish country. There was an Amish farm museum that I remember and some other attractions. There was also a fascinating automobile museum in Lancaster that we visited a few times, called Automobilarama. I remember seeing the Amish driving their horse-drawn carts on the shoulder of the road---I even remember seeing the horses tied up at local markets while the Amish shopped.

So neat! I bet those are some great memories for you! I always love seeing the horse and buggies back home.

Great memories of Automobilarama, especially! The building was a giant glass building with several stories. How they got the cars in there I'll never know! But they had a huge number of all sorts of antique cars. They also had turn-of-the-century mechanical music machines---the forerunners of jukeboxes---that operated automatically like player pianos, but they had horns, drums, tambourines, and other instruments in them. They were VERY loud, and if someone dropped a nickel in one behind me when I wasn't looking, it would scare me! I remember keeping an eye on those machines so I wouldn't be surprised! They were fascinating to watch, too.

We had a carriage-house-type garage when I was little, with big, flat sliding doors. Dad painted an Amish cart and buggy on one of the doors. The last time we were back in Maryland we drove by, and the painting was still there.

We have a lot of Amish families in the state of Wisconsin, too. Especially in the smaller communities. I love driving past their farms, and stopping in to local businesses of theirs

You dad did a great job on that painting!!!!

Thank you! He was a talented guy who should have done more with his artistic talents. I have some sketches he made when he was in high school that are amazing. He did the Amish painting with leftover house paint, using a photo in a book as a model! But he very rarely drew or painted. One exception was that a neighbor of ours had a swimming pool/patio with a cinder-block wall around it. The blocks were painted aqua color, and on the walls facing the pool Dad painted a whale, some fish, some seahorses, and a mermaid, using storybook illustrations as models. I wish he'd done more with that hobby, because he really had a talent for it.

Greetings everyone, I know....I know....it's been a terribly long time since I last wrote.

What can I say, time is just flying by, and it is nine months till you know what! It's been very busy here, and today we are having another snow storm, it's dumped almost 5 inches of snow since this morning!

My car is totally covered AGAIN!!!!!
Where's SPRING!!!!!!

All of March has seemed like it's January!!!!!

I do hope all my friends are fine, all is good here, with the exception of a pinch sciatic nerve in the lover back. It's almost like new, but it slowed me down for about 9 days. Still a bit of a pinch but it's almost gone!!!!

Anything new been happening with everyone? I shall respond to the messages I've received, thanks for thinking of me.

Hope to converse with you all soon!

Be blessed in our Lord this day and all during the week!

In His Eternal Love.....

:playing:

It's so nice to "see" you! I'm happy to hear your back is improving, I hope you feel 100% soon!

Good morning, Christmas friends! Hope everyone had a great Saturday like we did! Today is going to be spent getting ready for the work week. Supper is already on and I'm just about to start getting my clothes out and ironed. But before I do that, i wanted to drop by and say hello.

Ballgames, race, and Walking Dead come on today, so there will be a little tv time. I'm also hoping to get my bike out and go for a ride. I got out of the habit of riding, but I've got to find a way to get back into it. Don't know how I'm going to find the time to exercise with a little one, but I must.

One way I can find time to exercise is to stop jabbering right now and get going! I'm off! See yall later!

Have a happy Sunday ballcoach!
