I ended up having a few more drinks than intended, was starting to feel a little drunk to be honest lol. Didn't pop the bubbly till midnight watching the Sydney fireworks on TV which I promptly muted and played Auld Lang Syne!

Saw the New Year in with you all too, watched the ball drop live on the internet, a tradition for me anyway! cheesy

Good for you! Mr. and I also believe that the New Year should start with "Auld Lang Syne."

Good afternoon! Hope you're all enjoying the day!!!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a great year!

Believe it or not my dad was born on Christmas Day and Mum New Years Day, so we took her out for a nice lunch! Was fantastic!

I hope 2014 will be good to all of you!

Happy New Year, JBJ!!!!! Happy Birthday to your mom and Happy Belated Birthday to your dad!!!!

How late did you stay up?

I went to bed at 6 and was back up about 9:30. Mainly tossed and turned in between then.

We had a good time!!! What can I say? We're crazy!

How is the new house coming along? Happy New Year to you and your family!

Hey Sugar, Happy New Year! Thank you for asking.

We are all in, unpacking and trying to figure out what looks good where, moving furniture around, etc.... We love the house...last night, it was just the wife and I at home and I asked her if she was happy and did she have any regrets. She told me hat she was very happy and she has no regrets. For me, I just love the new place. It's like an adventure, everything is new, new surroundings, new ways of doing things, etc....

I have so many ideas running thru my head about what I want to do with the garage, the out buildings, the property and things in the house. I'm excited about it all, and as a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to leave work now so that I can get back home and get into things...
:-D

Happy New Year judesmama! It is crazy how much the posts have increased. Love it!!!! I'm hoping it snows enough that work is canceled. LOL! I have loved being at home between the holidays!!!! BUT won't complain - I have a job I need to remember to be thankful for!!! BUT cozy at home... Ahhhhh!
Have a great day!

Hi Holiday, when snow cancels work do you still get paid?

6:30? I was just going to bed!!!! LOL!!!!

I agree!!!! I have a few flame less candles that will come out to help with it some but I really need to find some more things to kind of help keep the magic alive!!

Okay, I say we all band together and start a new trend!!!!!

Sounds like a beautiful idea.

To double my Christmas Music collection so I can do even better shows on Kringle Radio this coming Christmas eve.

Ambitious and admirable!

One thing I'm looking forward to in 2014 is having most of the year to pick out music for the Santa Tracking shows. I have a lot of digital music, but also a lot on LPs and cassettes that don't get out to play much. If I could manage to digitize at least one album a week in 2014, I'd have over 40 new albums to pick music from for next year!

If we are doing the member shows again this year, I think I might join in the fun. I have some fun and obscure stuff that I could pick through.
My shyness may keep me from doing it in the end though. Who knows, it is a wee bit early at this point.

I decided to go to work today and not a soul was here but me. So, I turned on my computer and did a full virus scan on it (which took a little over 2 hours) and while the computer was doing that, I kicked back, propped my feet up and took a nap for those 2 hours as well..... Not to bad working on a holiday!:???:
Well, I guess I'm going to get out of here and head home, go home and make a fire in the fireplace, have some steamed shrimp, cut up some cheese and smoked salmon, kick back and put on the Polar Express~:tree::rudolph:

For me, it's the QUALITY of the posts here rather than the quantity that brings me back every day. We rack up nearly 60,000 posts not just to artificially inflate the count, but because we care so genuinely about each other that we're constantly checking in, sharing our thoughts, and keeping in touch.

If it were strictly about the number of posts, I wouldn't come here. It's about the people, not the stats. As long as it stays that way, I'll be here every day I'm able!

Agreed!!!

Switched to Hallmark!

Hallmark Christmas movies ended today at 10, last year didn't they go through January 2. I hate when there is no more Christmas shows on TV.

(at least I have a pretty full DVR of Christmas) cheesy

This has crossed my mind before! Keep the lights going for a while to fight off those dark post-Christmas winter months. But you KNOW somebody would spoil it by saying "How come you still have your Christmas lights up?"

Because the good will of christmas should be celebrated every day.

Happy New Year everyone. I have really enjoyed my little dose of daily Christmas spirit on this site. Sadly I've put all the decorations away until next year...I've left a few sneaky ones out to remind me that Christmas is a state of mind, not a time of year! Wishing everyone a terrific 2014.:tree:

Happy New Year, Magpie!! Nice to see you!!

Happy New Year, MMC! I wish you and your families all a safe, happy, healthy, and prosperous 2014! May God bless you all!

One of my resolutions is to try to post at least once on MMC every single day. Why? I love this place and to me, it's not about just being here around Christmas-time. I like to keep in touch with you all because we've grown to be good friends. I like to see how everyone is doing, how everyone is feeling, and what's new with you and your families.

I am going to try my absolute best to keep my resolution. There are 1,440 minutes in a day - there is no excuse as to why I can't spend at least 5-10 minutes on here every day!

I have been applying for jobs like crazy the past week or so. It's so nervewracking! I have received a lot of emails for positions that I am not interested in. I guess it's going to take some time and patience, that's for sure! I applied for two I am really interested in at the end of last week. I don't think I will hear back until late this week or next week (if at all) because of New Years Eve/New Years Day.

You all have been chatty! Off to catch up on 27 pages - lol!

Goodluck with the job hunting.

Hi JBJ I could not find the tv broadcast unless it was The Project and they kept flicking back to the desk. I had to watch online. It was beautiful!!
