Good evening MMC!!

Well I started the morning reading and thanking the posts and then --- the world knocked on my door. LOL

Noah is teaching at a seminar on the 16th in Sarasota. I won't be here. We found out around 8:30am that the person who is hosting this four-day seminar has only lightly marketed it and didn't do any individual marketing for the speakers individually. Noah's classes weren't full so we had to drop everything and spend the morning and early afternoon doing manic marketing, blog posts and social media.

Was almost finished with that and suddenly there was a major snafu with Bud's Dropbox and YouTube channels and several hours of footage. Three hours later and I now have that under control. *phew*

Right now - I'm sick of looking at my laptop and I didn't have time to take down any decorations. I'm going to start that in just a few minutes. I need to have it all done and put away before I leave town on Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well, no more black ice incidents or slips and you're all keeping warm. :) I listened to my favorite Pandora channel with Christmas carols all day today. It calms me and helps me focus and stay in a good mood regardless of the task at hand or how complicated. Bud teases me that I'm the only person who plays Perry Como's Christmas Album to enter the ring. LOL

I also learned today that my dogs associate Burl Ives' voice with cookies or treats. LOL The Pandora channel I choose ends up having a number of Burl Ives renditions and much of the speaking portions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Rankin/Bass version). It played today and suddenly they were all there at my feet, tails wagging. I thought, "What in the world are they doing?"

About an hour later it happened again with a different song and verbal piece, still Burl Ives. When it happened yet again a bit later, I deliberately put the movie on to see if they would do it again. Sure enough - Burl Ives' voice came on and there they were, happy as could be. Too cute! My dogs are Christmas-ites.

Hope you all have a great evening! If I don't pop in again this evening and get caught up - I'll catch up tomorrow. If nothing else, surely on the long drive on Colorado when Bud's in the driver's seat.

What? That's not normal?

When I hear Bing Crosby sing, I start to crave peppermint. cheesy Those dogs are smart puppies.

Christmas music really calms me down, I have learned to listen to it before a Dr's appointment and my blood pressure readings are down, and I am calm and ready. No white coat syndrome for me.

Good evening! Wow - I am finally caught up! We are the talkative bunch here! I stayed up for a little while - I finally got to watching "Let It Snow", one of the new movies that was on Hallmark from this year. I loved it! I work tonight though, so I am going to try and lay down for a quick nap.

What are you all up tonight? Hope you're all having a great evening and staying warm. I am off tomorrow and looking forward to it, as I always do! I can't wait! We have to go grocery shopping, but other than that, I plan to just stay in, spend time with DH and the kids.

Alright, off to hopefully nap. Talk to you guys tomorrow. Praying for all of you guys and your safety. God Bless and keep smiling! :)

Hope you get a good nap and have a great night at work.

I'm going to be headed to bed here soon too. Wore out after not really sleeping and all of that shoveling.

Well mom made it home okay from work. She said that the news is lying though when they said the roads are better. She said you feel like a bobble head with all of the ruts, dips, and chunks missing out of the snow and ice on top of the pavement.

We are going to keep warming up overnight though so hopefully if they get back out there and keep putting down salt and chemicals, they will be better in the morning.

All of the school districts have canceled school for tomorrow already though.

Glad to hear she made it home safely.

Thanks, buddy. Hope you can get a good night sleep. (((Hugs)))

Hello all. I can't catch up on the posts now but wanted to say hello. Just got done playing with the Barbie dream house with my daughter...her favorite Christmas present from this year.

Have a good night!

Fun!!! My niece's always want to play smurfs now of days. For some reason, I always have to be grumpy. LOL!!

Hope you have a good night too!!!!

Virginia,

Do you watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries?

I just love Phryne!!

Was curious if it's big over there =]

My Mom got me into it, and I just bought her DVD set.

If want to watch my Christmas movies all year round then I don't have much say of the TV viewing so i haven't watched a whole episode yet!! I don't know of many people who watch it; they are mostly into the reality shows.

To tell you the truth I rarely watch Australian shows... It must be the accent!! :):):)

My birthday day is winding down, my wife surprised me by picking up some stuffed chicken breasts because I have been saying I have been craving chicken croquettes. Only one place around here sells them and they are nearly 30 minutes away. So she tried to get the closest thing she could find, she is awesome. She also picked up a whoopee pie and a small cake for me.
Her and the boys also got me a new Santa Claus for my birthday present, she picked up for me on Black Friday from Kohl's.
It has been a great birthday, especially for my last one in my 30's.

I will post a picture of him after the one I won Ebay gets here.

It becomes non-existent. Whether time travel were possible or not, it's not a documented fact so the assumption is that if you were to travel back in time to alter an event, to change an outcome of something you didn't like, that you would still be aware of your hand in the matter when you return to the present. The moment in time becomes altered and therefore no longer truth, but you are aware of it, because the present you was the one who went back to change it. There is no place for it to disappear "to," because it then, in fact, never existed.

We assume time as we know it exists, because of the rotation of the earth which allows for us to either be facing or turning or away from the sun. We mark our time by the appearances of daylight and darkness. So while you celebrated New Year's Day, to most of us on this site, nearly a half day sooner than us, we are all existing at the same moment and only man's explanation of time as we mark it on clocks and calendars differentiates in whose past we are living.

I always thought the concept of time travel was interesting and more conjecture, because of that fact. Unless you knew the exact time and moment and time zone, if you were traveling from a different time zone you would end up on the day, but several hours off of your target. Unless of course you had the Star Trek transporter, which could do everything correctly all the time. ;) We watched an old episode of Star Trek several weeks ago on Retro. Bud said, "Oh my gosh - the communicator - it looks like my cell phone from four years ago! Man, these guys have got to get with the times!" LOL

And with that... will someone please beam me up? I'd like to go to Christmas morning, 1976 please. 351 Highview St, Pittsburgh, PA. Feeling nostalgic for the pink tea set I got that year and the Snoopy snowcone machine and Snoopy Electric toothbrush. Guess Santa figured I needed the toothbrush after all the snowcones. That was the Christmas my dad let me sled down the big hill in the valley by myself for the first time after we opened our presents. Good memory. :)

Oh, it gives me a headache!! So if you went back to Christmas 1976 and removed the tea set, snowcone maker and toothbrush so little you doesn't get them, you will retain that good feeling in the present of having received it but it never actually happened?

Aww, that's sweet. What a good Dad you are!

Have a wonderful evening, Ryan!

So sweet, Ryan! EA got the Barbie RV for Christmas and loves it as well!

Thanks...she loves Barbie! She wanted to change their clothes but midway through decided she was done. She said, "I'm going to just leave them naked. Caden will pass out when he sees them!" I don't know where she got that, but I had to leave the room laughing. :)

Hope you have a good night too!!!!

Smurfs? I forget they're popular again. Remember the cartoon from the '80s?

Hi everyone!

I hope you all have stocked up and are inside in the safe and warm!

It was all over the news this morning. They said sixteen people had died.

To lighten the mood, they stated someone had escaped from jail and was on the run but later turned himself in because he couldn't handle the cold.
